Extremely Disappointing Experience – Broken Promises, Poor Service, and I Would Never Return

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was so disappointing that I feel other travellers deserve to know what happened.

Before I checked in, I explained to the receptionist that I had not yet booked my return flight and might need to leave one day earlier. I was clearly told that this would not be a problem and that if I checked out early, the payment for the extra night would be refunded.

During my stay, I went to reception several times to confirm that I would be leaving earlier. Every time, I was told that management had been informed and there would be no issue.

At check-out, I asked if the unused night's payment could simply be deducted from my restaurant bill. They refused, charged me the full restaurant bill, and assured me again that the refund for the extra night would be processed afterwards.

After leaving the hotel, I had to send multiple messages and follow up several times, only to be told that they would not refund the money after all, hiding behind their booking policy. If this was their policy from the beginning, why was I repeatedly told that I would receive a refund? I made my decision to pay for the additional night based on the information provided by their staff.

This was incredibly unprofessional and left me feeling completely misled.

There were also other issues during my stay. The shower drain was constantly blocked, making it difficult and unpleasant to shower. Housekeeping was inconsistent, and the room was not always properly serviced.

The breakfast was one of the biggest disappointments. It was extremely basic—more like what you would expect in a budget hostel than in a hotel. On top of that, despite already paying for breakfast, many basic breakfast items required additional charges, which felt unreasonable and very poor value for money.

This hotel had been on my list for a long time, and I was genuinely excited to stay here. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to my expectations in any way.

I will never return, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. Trust is essential in hospitality, and once that trust is broken, it is very difficult to earn it back.

The service of personnel was very dissappointing. The walls were very thin and we could hear neighbors snoring, the breakfast had very tiny options. There was a storm and we ended up without electricity for one hour, and without wifi for more than 13 hours. During check out we expressed our disappointment and got 10 euro discount, which really says a lot about this place. It's nice that they have a gym and table tennis table. Also, they were selling their parking for 20euro per night but just outside the hotel we could park for free..

The hotel looks great on the website pictures. Reality is different. Noisy rooms, and not very neat. (Small Spiders and ants are present). The view from the rooftop is actually great. But that’s it. The pool is more like a big bathtub, good for pictures and nothing else. Many of the rooftop sofas were broken. We had dinner there (rooftop Mima restaurant)during a storm, and the Michelin sign is a trap. Quantities are Michelin (tiny) but not the food experience. Not very tasty. Also all staff at reception always had to ask the manager for approval of this or that… the manager was not always present on site so we sometimes had to wait for his return or push to call him. The worst is that there was this summer storm and the hotel had no wifi for the whole evening and night. The only effort from management was to try to send links on whatsapp(!!) so we could pay the dinner we had. The morning after we had to suggest a compensation ( they never proposed anything to make the experience better). The manager proposed a 10% discount on our dinner. So, 10 euros. a joke. We have been to many hotels around the world and rarely we have seen such a disdain for the client. Rarely we have felt that much that it was all about making money regardless of the client’s experience. Avoid!!!
