Hotel Il Nido Sorrento in Sorrento

This is a wonderful hotel. It's very clean and inviting. They serve a great complimentary breakfast every morning. The Il Nido restaurant has wonderful local cuisine for dinner and very reasonably priced. The dinner waitress, Mary is the best. Owners Dino and Frederica, were very kind and hospitable. Location and sea views are top teir and surrounded by lovely 🍋 groves. It's close to the Sorrento city center with complimentary shuttles to and from daily. Il Nido has a long and storied history on the Amalfi coast since 1962 and for me was an exceptional experience. Highly recommend!

This hotel is a Family run hotel that has lovely clean rooms that have far reaching views. The food is absolutely delicious and extremely well priced. Definitely worth a trip to eat in their restaurant if you are not staying at the hotel.

During our 2+ weeks in Italy, we stayed in Val di Funes, Venezia, Montepulciano, Roma, and Sorrento, and the Hotel Il Nido was our favorite stay of them all. I booked a standard double room with balcony view overlooking the Gulf of Naples and it did not disappoint. We could never get tired of the view - just breathtaking and so fortunate to wake up every morning and look across the bay at Vesuvius. The room was clean and spacious, the bed extremely comfortable, and the hotel decor was just charming - almost retro in a way, but kept up extremely well. The hotel staff was so accommodating, even before we arrived, by answering several questions I had sent them via e-mail. I'm usually for finding different and unique restaurants in the towns we visit, but this time we found ourself eating dinner at the hotel more than once. They have the most beautiful dining room overlooking the Gulf and the menu was fantastic and reasonably priced. Breakfast was also in the same dining area and had a fantastic spread. Although the hotel was up on the hill and not in the downtown area, we ended up really liking this because the hourly hotel shuttle that ran to and from downtown Sorrento more than met our needs. In the case where we had a couple of activities planned not in the downtown, the front desk staff perfectly arranged a driver for us. The owners Gino, Gianni, and their sister were such gracious hosts. We can't wait to book another stay when we return to Sorrento (which we will).

Loved this charming hotel - owners and staff (Dino and Mary) were awesome - treated us like family! Shuttle to town was reliable and easy - dinner in the restaurant was one of the best we had in the entire area - views at breakfast were 5 star. I would absolutely recommend Il Nido and would stay here again in a heartbeat.!

This hotel has fantastic views, great breakfasts, fabulous dinners, and a bus that goes back and forth into Sorrento. This family run hotel employs a very nice and helpful staff that helps you navigate trips to Capri, Amalfi Coast, and Pompeii.

I have just returned from my third stay at this fabulous family run hotel. Each stay I have been impressed by the efficiency and courtesy of the staff; the cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms in particular and the hotel in general; and the effort the owners put into providing a first class holiday experience. Breakfasts at Il Nido are superb and lunch and dinner is also served. When I next return to Sorrento, I will definitely be staying at this wonderful hotel. A special mention should be made of the view from the dining room and some guest rooms overlooking Mt.Vesuvius and of the Bay of Naples. This setting is truly spectacular and combined with the friendliness of the owners and staff provides an unbeatable experience for anyone wanting to visit Sorrento.

Thanks a million to the great hospitality and the cooperation of the man in charge (Dino) for his cooperation and problem solving skills that made our stay and early check out smooth. We faced an issue with the room and he changed it for us then we did not also feel comfortable to stay the 4 nights and he managed to cancel two nights smoothly.

Best part of our 2 week trip to Italy. The owner and staff are so caring and hospitable you feel like you’re staying with family. The view is amazing and the food is better than any of the expensive restaurants we ate at on our trip. Will definitely be staying there again.

My husband and I absolutely loved this small, family-run hotel. Everyone was attentive, friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely, clean and provided a spectacular view of Mt. Vesuvius, the Bay of Naples and the charming town of Sorrento. Dino, one of the owners, offered helpful advice and arranged tours for us during our six day stay. The free shuttle to town, although only once an hour, was clean, comfortable and on-time. The restaurant offered terrific food...lemon risoto, pulpo, fresh fish, pasta...a perfect view and great service. Breakfast was plentiful and included a wide variety of choices. The coffee was terrific. In all, Il Nido was a charming place which we highly recommend.
