The staff was so helpful and kind! Mary helped us navigate our way from Naples and get us to our excursions while in Sorrento. The hotel is located in the hills which provided incredible views! Sitting out on the balcony enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine was top notch. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. A good value! The hotel provides a shuttle to the city center which is a must as getting down the narrow hill is not walkable. That means relying on the timing of the shuttle which took some planning. There is a city bus stop close by which came in handy.

We just left on May 10th. the hotel staff and Dino were the best, the attention to detail Dino had was excellent!!! The food was very very good, breakfast and Diner were prepared by the chef (dino's brother) every meal we had was perfect. The room with balcony overlooking Sorrento and Vesuvius. Can not express our gratitude for such a great visit!!! Dino grazzi, Mary Grazziyou were all fantastic

Il Nido is a lovely hotel which sits above Sorrento & provides beautiful views for its guests. The hotel is furnished tastefully & is well kept & clean. Our breakfast was included & very good: bread, pastries, cereal, fruit, eggs, yogurt, bacon, sausage etc. Our room had a balcony with a gorgeous view of Sorrento & the bay. Our bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows & our bathroom had a large shower with good water pressure & plenty of towels. Our room was clean & comfortable. We enjoyed 2 dinners at the hotel & both were delicious & affordable. The hotel offers a shuttle service to downtown Sorrento & the owner was cheerful & gracious in accommodating our needs. The hotel is an affordable gem & I highly recommend it.

We have stayed at Il Nido several times on trips to Sorrento, have also stayed at other hotels in Sorrento town but this year decided to return to an old favourite. We weren't disappointed, it's still a great family run hotel, run by a wonderful family who have always made us feel very welcome. The view from the terrace and our balcony is nothing short of stunning and we loved sitting out enjoying a lovely breakfast each morning with the stunning view. The local hotel bus that stops just outside the hotel is very easy and takes you down into the town mornings and evenings. Once you find where to get on it for the return trip and which bus it is, it's easy. There is a break in service in the afternoon but that didn't worry us. Sorrento was as lovely as ever, with some lovely little shops and restaurants to discover, along the cobbled alleyways. It still remains one of our favourites places and it's a great base to visit all the surrounding islands and other places along the Amalfi coast, all of which are stunning.

Hotel Il Nido was our second stay in Italy. We were there for three nights. Our room was beautiful and spacious and our view from our balcony was Mt. Vesuvius. How awesome, is that? The owner was very personable and helpful with tour plans. The meals were totally amazing and we purposely ate back at the hotel every night to relax on the terrace enjoying the fabulous cuisine. The breakfast buffet was so inclusive not one more thing needed to be added. The free shuttle service was a big plus. Thank you so much for such wonderful memories of Sorrento!

What an amazing hotel! The owner was great and helpful in arranging some tours for us. The location of the hotel is at elevation above the main parts of Sorrento. This lends to a more neighborhood experience, which we loved. The breakfast was great. The dinners were so good we ate there 3 of our 5 nights there. I would recommend this hotel to everyone going to Sorrento. I could not have been happier and could not have had a better experience.

Good parking, beautiful scenery
