While the exterior looks very nice, the entire hotel, especially the rooms, doesn't seem to be 4-star quality: the bathroom has a rather damaged door that conflicts with the sink, very old fixtures, and rather dated bathroom fixtures, especially the shower. However, I was on the 5th floor which required carrying luggage up an extra flight from the first floor and wifi could not reach the room. Never saw so much space available for privacy. To get to the beach you need to cross two streets, one only for residences and the other for bycicles and runners. There is nothing wrong with this hotel. It's just not 4 star. I can't even say it's 3 star. It's at best 2.5 star.. The staff were friendly, the amenities were terrible. I had to sleep with my door open because the AC did not function (I don't think it was broken, I think it was considered too cold to have it functioning) and the room got too hot. Comfortable hotel in quiet street. About 20minutes walk to main square and lots of bars and restaurants very nearby. Great breakfast spread and very friendly and helpful staff. Would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in hotel room as expected for a 4* hotel.

What an amazing hotel. The guest service was amazing. The room was small but perfect, clean, and beautiful. Breakfast was so delicious, fresh, and so many delicious fresh baked yummies. Amazing location, close to all.

While the street that the hotel entrance is located on is not the best- there are people loitering around it most hours of the day- the same can be said for a large areas of the city itself. People in Bologna are very friendly & I never felt unsafe, even walking around empty streets after sunset.
