MyTALE Creative Academy Hotel in Rome

This was the worst hotel booking experience I've ever had. My family of five paid two months in advance for the room, having booked it because of the location and the included breakfast for five people. The day before we were due to arrive in Rome, we received an email from the hotel, seemingly offering a room upgrade. However, it wasn't at the location we'd originally booked, and the taxi from one hotel to the other cost nearly 30 euros. (I suspect it was due to the overwhelming demand for bookings, so we were being ripped off.) The hotel repeatedly promised to refund the taxi fare, but a month and a half later, despite emails urging us to wait for their manager to return from vacation, they still haven't responded. And then there's the hotel we moved to: it was more of a B&B than a hotel, as the breakfast I'd booked wasn't included. The shower water was hot and cold, and the flow was minimal. It was definitely too cold to shower in the winter. The bathtub didn't drain, it was just for show. It was also incredibly dirty. There was an unfinished bottle of water in the refrigerator, and the dishwasher was filled with unwashed dishes from who knows when. It was so disgusting, I didn't take any photos. The house gave us the impression that no one had been in it for ages. We endured this situation for two nights in Rome, thanks to Ctrip's reassurance. However, we also suggested to Ctrip that they stop working with this hotel. They didn't keep their promises to customers, and the products they signed for were not what they promised. This will only negatively impact Ctrip. A warning to anyone planning a hotel in Rome: absolutely avoid booking this My Story Creative Hotel.

A complete misleading advertisement. I booked two rooms for four people, but the hotel placed us in an apartment at a completely different address, nothing like the photos shown on the website.

The place was old and full of problems. When I took a shower, the bathroom flooded because the drain didn’t work, and then the toilet broke twice. The second time, since it was late at night, no one was available to fix it and we were left without a bathroom for 12 hours.

When I tried to resolve the situation with the hotel, things only got worse. The customer service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. They basically said the issue was Booking’s fault for showing the wrong photos and that they couldn’t do anything. On top of that, the receptionist, Ilaria, was extremely rude and clearly unprepared for a role that requires dealing with guests.

The only person who seemed truly prepared to assist guests professional, polite, and genuinely trying to help was Stefano. I’d like to leave my appreciation here for his level of care and attention.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! I urge anyone who looks at these photos on Google, Booking.com, or Hotels.com. These rooms do not look like this at all!!! The hotel was initially hard to find the front desk staff was very rude and unaccommodating! When we arrived we were given a different address and told or rooms were three blocks away! We were not guided to our rooms. Instead we were given a whatsapp text with a video on how to enter. The entire thing seemed unsafe! Also the rooms look NOTHING like the photos! I entered my room there was no AC, and the power wasn't on and the windows were wide open! I decided to use the bathroom after my long journey only for some random guy to walk in my room as I'm in the bathroom! I assume he was a cleaner or something as he had a key. However, anything that needed to be handled in my room should have been taken care of before check in! I immediately packed up and left. I dropped the keys off back at the front desk and asked for a refund which was not initially granted. I had to file a claim with AMEX thankfully it worked out and I was refunded! Their customer service here is complete trash!!!!!
