HT6 Hotel in Rome

The room was in a corner on the ground floor, a semi-basement. When I tried to change rooms, I was told it was fully booked and the only available room was the next day. I went to change rooms early the next morning, only to be told it was still fully booked. The following morning, I tried again, only to be told it was still fully booked. I don't know if it was true or not. I had no choice but to stay in that dark, cramped room in the semi-basement for three days. The hotel kettle was broken; they only provided one bottle of water on the day of check-in. They didn't provide any more water for the next two days, so I had to buy it myself at the bar. Also, the shower gel in the bathroom was constantly running out, and the housekeeping staff never added any more. I had to use my own toiletries. Normally, the housekeeping staff should have cleaned the room by noon. One evening, my husband and I went into the room around 7 pm local time to get our things and found the Indian housekeeping guy doing something by our bed. He later explained that he was making the bed for us. Actually, we had come into the room around 6:30 pm to put our things away, and the room had already been cleaned and the bed made. We don't know why he came in again without our permission. This explanation was too far-fetched, and we didn't sleep well all night. I wonder what this guy did inside? The only good thing is that the buffet breakfast here is quite plentiful and decent, and it's conveniently located near many attractions.
