We stayed at Palazzo Velabro, a Design Hotel member an d I would not recommend it. We had 3 rooms, two paying cash and myself on points. We booked rooms with "courtyard views". Their rooms were on the 4th floor, mine was the handicap room on the bottom floor with an alley outside my window where cases of return bottles were stacked. I did not get breakfast and when I inquired as to why I was told they weren't a member of Bonvoy, they were a Design Hotel. Why did they take my points then? Why did those who paid get Bonvoy Points? The hotel was nice but the policies and attitudes expressed by management weren't. We stayed 3 nights and after speaking several times to layers of management I was grudgingly moved to a 2nd floor non-handicap room. Location isn't great, I wouldn't stay there again, cash or points. Oh, let me add that on our last night we were awakened at 0200 by a fire alarm and told to evacuate. We all stood outside, it was cold, for 20 minutes, no explanation or " I'm sorry" given Just my .02

Excellent staff. Room was wonderfully clean. Our room had a great kitchenette with everything you need to prepare and serve meals... We sursurprised,pleased and quite satisfied with the hotel.

Amazing staff! Georgia was outstanding at checkin and check out. She’s helping us ship some things home as we are traveling on. Eraldo took great care of us in the bar, great personality, knows his drinks and funny.
My favorite hotel in Rome, one of the best in Italy. Nice large rooms, perfect location and quiet surroundings in a loud city.

It's really nice, close to the Mouth of Truth. It takes about 18 minutes to walk to the Colosseum.

We stayed one night here and enjoyed it. We were upgraded to a suite. The location is perfect for the Roman Forum and Colosseum. They have a nice rooftop bar too.

The room is OK, but the service is terrible. There are bugs everywhere at night. The hotel asked why you didn't tell them at night. Who would bother with you at one or two in the middle of the night?

The hotel's service is very good, and all questions are answered. The room is very big. For a European hotel, the room is really big. The bread for breakfast is delicious, but the eggs and coffee need to be ordered before they can be delivered. It's free, but it's a bit troublesome. You need to tell the waiter. The hygienic condition of the room is average. You can't take a closer look. Bring your own towels. I saw with my own eyes that the aunt who cleaned the room stepped on the towels on the floor.
