Hotel Campidoglio in Rome

Very conveniently located 2 1/2 blocks from Termini. The breakfast was very decent and the room was clean for the most part. There was a spot of mildew above the shower that would take someone with a ladder or long scrub brush to get. The a/c was almost non-existent, you could not control the temperature, I assume because there would be a strain on the grid as every hotel room would want their room colder. The bed/mattress was the hardest I have ever slept on and had me turning over all night. The lobby and greeting by hotel staff was superb and was the coldest room in the building.

Everything in the hotel was as advertised. But this is the absolute minimum a tourist needs in Rome. Of course, the proximity to Termini station is a big plus. There are a lot of good restaurants around.

We stayed here for 3 nights in March. It was a good location, not too far from termini however we did not receive communication about the check in process and that we needed to visit hotel Contilia to check in. We were then directed a few doors down to some rooms and given keys to get in and out. The place was ok, there was a lift and the rooms were standard, it had everything we needed although it wasn’t very clean. The floor was dirty and the air con was blowing out black stuff on the beside table and bed. The breakfast was in hotel contilia and had really good options for continental breakfast. The street can be noisy in the mornings and there is a mini fridge that should be stocked with water however ours wasn’t and we only realised this on check out. Overall we thought our stay was pleasant, the stay were all really lovely and helpful but we wouldn’t choose it again when we go back to Rome, we expected it to be better for the price.
