Hotel Gregoriana in Rome

Located near the Spanish Steps, be careful not to take the metro or walk from the train station to check in; you'll have to carry your luggage up the Spanish Steps to reach the hotel. Taking a taxi is even better, haha, that's us! The hotel is a retro-style hotel converted from a historical building. It's a bit old-fashioned, and they use those old-fashioned keys with heavy brass keychains. You need to hand the key to the front desk for safekeeping when you leave, but I personally don't mind. I really enjoy staying in these down-to-earth, high-value city center hotels in Europe. There aren't many rooms, but the location is excellent, with many restaurants nearby. It's convenient to walk to various attractions, and you can even go back to the hotel for a midday nap if you get tired from walking. The breakfast is simple but sufficient. The staff are relatively older but very warm and friendly. The only downside is that the bathroom shower room is too small; even we two 1.55-meter-tall girls felt a bit cramped. I suggest they improve that. Because we stumbled upon a great local restaurant near the hotel and managed to get last-minute tickets to Borghese, our mood was great, and these minor issues didn't matter anymore. It was still a perfect and enjoyable trip to Rome.

Loved my stay there. Sandro and Basile are super nice, and all the cleaning personnel too, and the people who work in the kitchen. Had a wonderful stay!!! My room was very small, but having the nice people made me happy. Also extremely good location. Recommend!! Maybe try going for the double rooms and you'll be more comfy.

Breakfast was good (starts from 7:15am so if you book the earliest slot for Colosseum or Vatican museum, you might need to skip).

Location is near to almost everything. Room 3 was spacious with a large rooftop space/garden too. We were able to watch the fireworks twice from there 👍🏻

Really kind of lucked out with this Hotel. Charming and lovely. Very Clean. Every single staff member was always helpful, polite, and seemed to want your experience to be great. Helpful for Airport and Cruise Port taxis, super close to the top of the Spanish Steps. Really enjoyed staying here, and highly recommend.

Location is excellent if you want to visit the popular sites. You would need a taxi or transit to visit the Vatican. Lots of cafes and restaurants but you can get easily duped by some of these restaurants being in a touristy area. So, always ask for the price of the food. Staff were pleasant, breakfast was basic ( eggs cost extra). We had a suite so it was nice ( comes at extra cost).

This boutique hotel is a true gem! Just minutes by foot from the Spanish Steps, the rooms are spacious and well appointed. The staff members truly care about the guest’s experience and happily provide directions and information. Because I was taking an early flight, they offered to put a lovely continental breakfast in my room. They go above and beyond. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

This is a very cost-effective hotel. With its location, facilities, and service, it also provides breakfast every day. I can't ask for anything more. The only drawback may be that the hotel is located on a slope, which can be a bit difficult if you have a lot of luggage.

The hotel is in a great location next to the Spanish Steps and very clean. The only downside is that the shower room is very small.
