Turned up in the evening, and the owner refused to honour the booking we had already paid a deposit for, refused to refund the deposit, and wanted an extra €50 if we wanted to stay at all.

Cozy accommodation.if you need a cheap accommodation in Rome downtown with good services and helpful staff ,this is the place for you.we offer wifi breakfast use of common kitchen air conditioner fridge storage and cheap car service .please reserve the private room or just bed in shared room .thank you byeee

Agreed on the phone with Mr Walter to reserve a room without pre-payment nor credit card (I'm Italian as the owner, so there was no possible misunderstanding), the day I was getting there I called again just to ask which time the place was open to drop the luggage.
He then told the room was no more available but another one (90€ instead of the agreed 66€) was still available. He affirmed this second option had already been discussed on the first phone call. I hung up without even trying to discuss.
His rudeness on the phone and cheating behavior have been very disappointing. To be avoided.
