Hotel Relais dei Papi in Rome

Average service. Breakfast needs a complete overhaul. Hot drinks were tasteless. Cold drinks were bland. No variety of bread. Overall, the selection was far inferior to the four other hotels you booked.

I love their clean, spacious, modern, refurbished rooms, bathroom was really well equipped with a good shower and the best hairdryer I have ever seen in any hotel.
Their lift is over a century old but still works well and adds character to this hotel.
Just on the next corner, there is a cute cafe with good coffee and a broad variety of pastries, with a free sparkling/still water dispenser.
Reception and housekeeping staff speak perfect English and are super professional and courteous.
I am already looking forward to stay here again on my next trips to Rome!

The room was excellent, clean and tidy, with all necessary amenities. The front desk service was professional, and it was conveniently located just a few minutes' walk from the train station. The city tax was €7 per person.

It is relatively close to the Vatican Museum. You need to go up to the 4th floor to check in. There is a 24-hour vending machine at the front desk, but you can go to the nearby supermarket to buy items before 11 pm.

It is a good hotel in a perfect location and it is affordable as well. If I ever go back to Rome, probably I will stay in the same place. The employees working at the reception are super helpful

The room was decent—nothing special, but clean. The bathroom quality varies depending on the room. Unfortunately, mine had a moldy ceiling this week, while others were fine. It seems like my bathroom is due for a renovation, but they haven't done it yet. Breakfast options: toast, kind of roll, cheese, ham etc. Nothing special but you won't get hungry. On the positive side, the terrace view was amazing, and the location offers great connections to anywhere in Rome.

We booked this hotel for a 6-nights stay and it was overall a pretty good experience.

The staff was extremely nice, friendly and helpful. They clearly understood the agreement about how to behave with clients.

The rooms are clean, big enough. Ours had the shower in the bedroom space, which is kind of disturbing but didn’t bother us that much. We had a locker and fridge in our room.

The breakfast is okay, it starts at 7:30 (which is a little bit late for me if you want to enjoy the touristy attractions before everyone without an empty stomach) and lasts until 10 am

The location is pretty good, you’re 10 min away from most of the bus stops to the city center (20-25 min bus ride to most attractions) and 15-min walk away from the Vatican with all its museums.

The hotel also have a great rooftop with a magnificent view of the city, that features a cozy space to relax and a bar serving different beverages. We even got the opportunity to watch soccer matches of the European championship.

Overall, Relais dei Papi is a pretty good place to stay at, without any kind of luxury services but just the necessary to spend a good stay in Rome, I would definitely recommend.
