Luxury on the River in Rome

Our stay at Luxury on the River, Rome was truly delightful and relaxing. The property is well maintained, welcoming, and particularly suitable for families looking for space and thoughtful service.
A standout part of our experience was Ms:Luisa at the reception. She was very prompt and detailed in responding to emails, patiently addressing all our questions. On arrival, she spent time to explain us about Rome by providing us with a large, old‑style A3 paper map of Rome and the Vatican, thoughtfully marking all the key attractions, restaurants, and metro stations. This personal gesture was helpful and made exploring the city much easier and more enjoyable.
The room was spacious enough for a small family of 4, offering a comfortable place to relax after long days of sightseeing. We also really appreciated the bathroom setup — having a bidet in addition to toilet paper was a welcome and thoughtful touch that added to our comfort.
There were a handful of restaurants within 5min walk from the hotel, which added to the convenience. The only so called 'con' is that the property is a good 10min walk from the nearest Metro.

Between 4 and 5 stars for me, everything went well, but the room isn't that big. For that it isn't cheap, still gave 5 stars because communication with Luisa was very good

We stayed in LOR in August 2025. Right off the bat the location is awesome. It is walkable to every tourist location, Vatican and around it are some great restaurant. On arrival we were greeted by Lusia at the reception and she was very friendly and professional. She gave us a map of Rome and explained us everything and that was very helpful and made our trip less cumbersome. The rooms are clean and well stacked with toiletries and the kitchen is well equipped also. Overall a great experience with check in and check out made very easy.

Everything else was satisfactory, but one thing to note is that there's no front desk after 4 PM and on weekends, so you have to self-check in. You need to contact the hotel by phone or email, and they'll send you the check-in instructions. Without any English skills, it's quite difficult. We arrived at 3:30 PM that day, and the front desk was already closed. We spent a long time communicating before we could complete the self-check-in process.

I have to say that this is one of the best hotels on my trip to Italy. The team here have made my stay very pleasant, warm friendly personal service, nothing was  too much trouble for them and made me feel incredibly welcome. It’s on the river, and an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of the centre yet only a short work to everything. You can’t go wrong by staying here. I will certainly come back and stay again. Thank you.

The receptionist was very nice! Nothing fancy but everything was fine👍🏻

Although there were some minor setbacks during check-in, they were quickly resolved. The bed was very soft and comfortable, and the toiletries were complete. Capsule coffee was free. The jacuzzi in the room was very good, and you could relax after a day of shopping. The antique building is highly recommended!

The staff were very kind (◠‿◠) Both the Vatican and the Trevi Fountain are within walking distance, so it was a very convenient hotel☺️☺️

The host was very kind and I was able to stay very comfortably. Please note that check-in time is between 2pm and 4pm. I would like to use this place again.
