Hotel Aniene in Rome

Very bad, a lot of humidity, view of the street, there was no breakfast, the staff at the reception does not speak English

They cancelled my reservation two hours before check in,Very unprofessiona and unreliable hotel

Not good att all

Stayed for 2 nights, luckily only needed a place to sleep. If I had to spend more time in the hotel, I would just leave. Lady at check in kept sighing loudly when checking us in. The room smelled of ciggarette smoke, as did the bathroom, no matter how much we tried to air the smell out. The towels smelled like vinegar or something similarly unpleasant. They were fluffy and soft but did not smell nice at all.

We had no hand soap or shower gel the first night.
The rooms are dated, the walls are filthy, there was mold in the shower as well as spots on the ceiling that were peeling and/or had water damage.

The lady in the breakfast area spoke no English at all which made communication quite difficult, she did not even understand our room number, I had to show it with my fingers.
The choice for savory breakfast is extremely poor, there was barely any savory bread, one huge omelette that was burnt every single day, the sweet options were very obviously store-bought and you had to ask the lady to cut off a piece for you.

I would not stay here again.
