On the downside, I was disappointed that the tissues were never refilled during my three-night stay (which was a problem as I suffer from rhinitis). I also wasn't sure if the bottled water was complimentary or if there was a charge. The shower leaked quite badly, and the staff member at checkout was rather abrupt in their communication.
The service stood out as warm, attentive, and efficient. Staff members were always ready with helpful recommendations and made check-in and check-out smooth and pleasant.
The room itself was a highlight: modern, spotless, and exceptionally comfortable. The bed was plush, the amenities thoughtful, and the overall design stylish without feeling overdone. It was a welcoming place to relax after a full day of sightseeing.
Overall, The Independent Hotel offers an excellent blend of comfort, convenience, and quality service—an ideal base for enjoying Rome.
5-8mins walking to termini station.
Rooftop terrace is nice to take in your location, especially when you first get there. Drinks were good, didn't love the tiramisu though. Breakfast buffet is decent.
Room was smallish but efficient, the balcony in our room was quite large and again had a good view and plenty of space to air/dry out clothing, towels, etc
Only real complaint is the sound proofing was not good. Could hear everything in the hallway and the people and kid in the room next to us could be heard through the bathroom wall.
🔴 I didn’t like the public areas though. The corridors and the lift were smelling and narrow. They were like a 2 star hotel.
☕️ The breakfast was fine. Nothing special. I had been served a lot more in 4 star hotels but it was not bad at all.
They offered a free deink also when I checked in which made me feel good about them and the terrace had a great view of the city and Termini station.
