We recently stayed at the Orazia Palace Hotel in Rome and overall had a really pleasant experience. The hotel itself is lovely, in a great part of the city, with a very good breakfast and a well-equipped gym.
However, the biggest downside was the lack of air conditioning or any way to regulate the room temperature. Our room was extremely hot when we arrived — and this was in February. The only way to cool it down was to open the window, but doing so meant raising the automatic blind completely, leaving the room fully visible from outside. If you closed the window and blind, the room quickly became very warm again.
This isn’t what we expected from a 4-star hotel, and it does make us wonder what the rooms would be like in the middle of summer.
Overall, it was a nice stay, but we would only return if the rooms had proper air conditioning. If you’re planning a summer trip, it’s definitely something to think about.

The biggest positive for this hotel is location. Prati is a quieter neighborhood that is centrally located and full of great, authentic restaurants. The hotel itself was relatively affordable (at least during the shoulder season when we visited), which somewhat made up for several inconveniences. We stayed six nights in a room where the shower did not drain properly; after the first night, we had to turn off the shower every minute or so to prevent flooding. The AC/heat were also off in the rooms; while not uncommon across Europe, the fan also was off, and the lack of airflow was very uncomfortable at night. We tried opening the window, which helped with the temperature, but meant we had to breathe in cigarette smoke during the night. Finally, a laptop charger was broken by a member of housekeeping; we did not complain because it was more of an inconvenience than anything else, but I mention it here because I do think it was illustrative of a lack of care. Breakfast is skippable; convenient if included in your room fee, but not worth adding on.

We have just come back from a 3 night stay here , what can I say on arrival we was pleased we could get into our room early and was amazed they had given up an upgraded room to superior room the room was clean and very nice the bed was massive!! 10/10 and comfortable, the receptionists are very welcoming, polite and professional, the breakfast was good aswell so many choices certainly enjoyed it, the rooftop bar is good for the view! The location is perfect, only 15 min walk to piazza del popolo, 11 min walk to Castel Sant'Angelo , most certainly would recommend this hotel and most definitely will be coming back again

The hotel is in a very good location. You can walk to majority of Rome attractions. Plenty of choices in terms of food. The front desk team are very friendly.

The hotel is located right next to a shopping district with direct access to the Vatican, and the surrounding area is very pleasant to walk around. Breakfast is served on the top floor with great views and delicious food. I would definitely book here again on my next visit.

We had a wonderful stay at Orazio Palace Hotel in Rome. The hotel is modern, spotless, and in a fantastic location, but what truly made our experience exceptional was the amazing service.
The girls at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They were always warm, professional, and happy to help with anything we needed.
Their genuine kindness and hospitality made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived.

Short walk to most of the places you’ll want to see, 15 minute walk to the Vatican, 25 minutes to the Pantheon, a little further to Trevi fountain or the Spanish Steps. Amazing rooftop bar for Aperitivo with amazing views. Friendliest staff you could ever ask for. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Love our stay here, highly recommend the Orazio Palace Hotel.

Orazio Palace Hotel more than lived up to my expectations. Beautiful boutique property situated in the beautiful neighborhood of Prati, it was within walking distance to many of the city’s popular sights. But what made it extra special was the staff particularly front desk April and and Giulia who made every effort to assist and were very kind and friendly in the most genuine way. Grazié Mille. Orazio Palace Hotel will always be my choice to stay if ever in Rome!

The room was very spacious, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is super convenient, being close to the Vatican, and it's just a short taxi ride to Rome city center!
