Excellent service from staff member Loretta Brunetti, who was incredibly helpful and professional, went above and beyond, prompt attention, and excellent communication was greatly appreciated. I was very impressed by their dedication and the hotel's commitment to customer satisfaction. This level of service truly enhanced my overall experience. I will highly recommend your hotel to friends and family based on this positive experience. Thank you again for your outstanding staff and service. -Misuk Park from US-

The vacation was wonderful. Nice hotel, nice rooms, absolutely loved everything. Thank you 😊

You're in Rome. Why? Certainly not in your room. Your hotel room should only be used for storing your things while you're out and about, or for dropping it off with the owner. That being said, the Nazionale was a great hotel. Clean, with a great view of the square. Breakfast was all you need to fuel up before hitting the road (if you're going to bother). The staff was knowledgeable, polite, and very accommodating. A completely positive experience. The taxi ride from the airport to the hotel was twice as expensive as the ride back (we were staying in Fiumicino, so it was even longer); that's how they attribute this to good contacts! And great directions. But here's why this place is 5 stars. No, it didn't have a fancy floor-to-ceiling glass shower. But who needs one? This hotel is 5 stars because of the price and the location. And if you're a tourist, that's all you should be looking for. Unless you're trying to impress your girlfriend, in which case you're doomed because it's a slippery, never-ending descent. The hotel is right in the middle of everything. We took a taxi to the Vatican, but it was actually a 20-minute walk back. The Spanish Steps are at the edge of everything you want to see, 20 minutes from the top. Same with the Colosseum (with a little misdirection). Porta Flaminia is about 20 from there. Trevi is about 10 minutes away, the Pantheon about 5 minutes away... you're a block from Via del Corso for shopping. You don't need anything else. It's a stone's throw from the best gelato I've had in Italy (get the lemon and bosco). Walk around the neighborhood at night, it's safe, there's military police everywhere (you're across from the seat of government). If I went back, I'd definitely stay here again.

Great staff, very easy walking distance to all the sights. Simple but excellent breakfast. The rooms are a bit dated, especially the bathroom, but that's not a big deal.

Everything was PERFECT, the room was spacious and very clean. The situation was perfect. And most importantly, the reception was unparalleled. The staff was always smiling and ready to answer any of our questions. Thank you, we highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I stayed here as part of a two week anniversary trip to Italy. We booked a superior room and were very happy with it. The room had a nice view of the piazza and was a nice size, though the shower was a bit small. The location is excellent- very close to many of the major sites, and walking distance to lots of great restaurants and cafes.

Though we were pleased with the hotel, what made our stay truly 5 star was the care and service we received from Patrick at the front desk. He was, by far, the most helpful concierge we’ve ever encountered. He went out of his way to provide anything we needed. On our first night there, we were running late to pick up tickets to the papal audience the next day, and he ran (literally) to go get them for us. When we had early mornings and couldn’t be there for breakfast, he ensured that we had breakfast boxes to take with us.

Most notably, Patrick was a tremendous help to us when I had the misfortune of becoming extremely ill on what was supposed to be our last night there (we ended up having to extend our stay by 3 nights). He explained options for care to my husband and arranged for a wonderful doctor to come see me. Extending our stay when I was unable to travel was seamless and easy. When I felt a little better, but still could not eat regular food, Patrick was kind enough to call a local restaurant and request for them to make me broth with some pastina in it, which was exactly what I needed.

He went above and beyond in so many ways, and we are so appreciative of his help! We hope to return to Hotel Nazionale again in the future and will recommend it to anyone we know who is planning to go to Rome.

We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Nazionale Roma during our short trip to Rome. The hotel is clean and beautifully decorated, and the rooms were just as comfortable and well kept. The staff were always friendly, incredibly helpful, and thoroughly professional. The only minor drawback was that street noise carried into the room more than expected, which could be a bit distracting at night. Otherwise, highly recommended.

The breakfast was plentiful, the room was clean, had a safe, and was elegantly decorated. However, the air conditioning system didn't heat; guests checking in after mid-November and those who are sensitive to the cold should consider this. I woke up freezing at night and had to get out of bed to put on thermal underwear/add a spare blanket to feel warmer. I stayed in room 201, which had a bad location; the window faced a wall with black pipes, which was visually unpleasant.

The atmosphere was solemn. It had a luxurious feel to it. The room was small, but I guess that's about the size you'd expect in Rome.
The breakfast was delicious.

The location is excellent, within walking distance of the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain, and next to the Italian Chamber of Deputies. Police are on duty daily, making you feel extremely safe. The only downside is the hotel's poor soundproofing.
