So great experience in this hotel. The staff is so friendly and polite. Good location, clean, delicious breakfast. Several bus stops; nearby Termini. The only incident that I know is not staff fault, is that the hotel is pet friendly and one night some guests left their pets alone until high night hours barking; as a recommendation hotel should have some rules about pets . It’s my new favorite hotel to stay in Rome. For sure I’ll back soon. Thanks for all.

very pleasant experience

The hotel is located just outside the Aurelian Walls with good public transport connections. The city center is just a few minutes away. The staff is very friendly. There's a cozy bar, and the food in the in-house restaurant is highly recommended. A wonderfully quiet hotel, away from the hustle and bustle of mass tourism.

Everything was great, the breakfast options were very limited and location is not the best if you don’t have a car. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel for a short-term stay

Terrible
First of all, I read the reviews on *********** and Ctrip before booking. After checking in, I was shocked that few people mentioned the soundproofing problem of the hotel. It was just a cardboard room. My whole family wore earmuffs and earplugs for four days and didn't sleep well for a single day. The first noise came from the foreigners in other rooms dancing and screaming late at night, as excited as if they were on *****. The second noise came from the front desk. It was the first time in my life that I saw a room so close to the front desk. Although one was on the first floor and the other on the ground floor, they were really close to each other. It was inevitable that I was disturbed by all kinds of noises from the front desk. The third one came from the buzzing mosquitoes at night. The fourth one came from the window of the room facing the open-air bar directly. The fifth one came from the cleaning staff. They started cleaning early in the morning every day, using vacuum cleaners, dragging beds and tables, and their hands and feet were not ordinary heavy. The soundproofing of the room was terrible, so they just didn't let you sleep at night, let alone during the day.

Second, it is very far from all scenic spots, delicious and popular restaurants, and the airport. A normal four-star hotel in the city is several hundred RMB more expensive than this La Ville Hotel. I booked this hotel just to take advantage of this small bargain. Staying in cheap hotels in remote suburbs does work in some other European cities, but Rome's public transportation system is quite backward. Most scenic spots and food can't be reached by subway from the hotel. You can get there by bus, but it is much more complicated to sit in the right direction, buy bus tickets, and successfully punch the tickets on the bus than in a normal city. Therefore, Rome's public transportation system is basically unfriendly and does not want tourists to ride it. Moreover, you have to change buses several times to go to all places. People who lack travel experience, lack leg strength, come to Rome for the first time, or are reluctant to take a taxi should never save a few hundred dollars. It's better to stay in a normal hotel in the city. I think even the hotel behind the train station is better than this one.
Thirdly, I seriously suspect that the hotel was converted from a private house (villa), so each guest room is basically the same as the previous rooms. It is conceivable that there can be no good sound insulation between the rooms in your own home. The privacy is certainly not good at all, and you can even hear the people next door taking a shower or taking a ****. Anyway, it's basically a B&B, and it has almost all the shortcomings of a B&B. Personally, I really dislike this type of hotel converted from private houses, but many foreigners have a special liking for this type. I have unfortunately booked this type of hotel many times. Their booking ratings are generally higher than the actual level, so if you don’t like B&Bs, don’t be fooled by the 9.5 points on booking.

Fourth, the facilities are very old, especially the air-conditioning control panel, which has deep and small buttons. Every time I put my fingernails in, I break them and still cannot press them.

Fifth, the breakfast buffet closes too early, and it closes on time at 10 o'clock and kicks people out. Other hotels have a deadline for not taking food, but they don't let people eat inside.

Very nice and clean rooms, the hotel is well located, not in the center but with many buses nearby or just opposite which lead to the center or to the train station. Plus the Bologna metro is 12 minutes walk away. The breakfast is good. The staff is very kind and responsive

The hotel is a distance away from the attractions and in a residential area, so it is very quiet. All the hotel staff are very warm and friendly. There are also bus stops within a few minutes' walk, which is very convenient to go to the attractions. The breakfast is also good. In short, I am very satisfied!

Service and Cleanliness: Excellent. Location: Average because it is 30 minutes away by public transport. Facilities: Very good in general and average in particular because the room we were assigned did not have a window that could be opened so that fresh air could come in from the street whenever you felt like it. It is a room located on the top floor of the attic and the window was a VELUX type located on a ceiling at a height that did not allow you to open it and what is worse without being able to draw the curtain, so at 6:00 am a annoying sunlight to continue sleeping.

The hotel is very beautiful, clean and hygienic. The price is relatively cheap. There is a white line next to the hotel, free parking is available, the staff is very polite and nice.

Originally I was thinking of giving this place 4 stars because while it is kinda grimy it's what you'd expect from a hotel at this price. The reason I am giving it 1 star is A. They never told us they lock the hotel at 2am. That would not have been an issue but it's something you should tell a guest. B. They called our room at 2am. We woke up in an exhausted jet-lagged daze and we were not able to get to the phone. At 215 am we heard someone rustling by the door so I jumped up and blocked the door with my foot. It was creepy as hell being that it is the type of hotel you'd see in a horror movie - rickety elevator and just generally creepy/dirty. They were trying to check if we were back before they locked the gate.

When we mentioned this to the lady at checkout she laughed and said sorry. This is was no laughing matter and they should have tried to rectify the situation. I waited several days with the hope that they would reach out to try to rectify the situation but after 3 days I feel I have waited long enough.

It looks lovely from outside. I’ve done my research enough I thought, with our long haul flight from Australia on our first day on arrival, we checked in in the afternoon then had our rest in the room, the room temp is 26c although the air con panel was set at 19c. Next day in the morning we woke up early as we sweated the whole night, the issue was brought up to the front desk and they said they would look into it, however, in the afternoon when we came back from our day trip, the answer was “there’s nothing we can do, all the rooms are the same temperature”. We asked if they have a fan that we could borrow but they do not provide fans either, that means we have 3 more nights to go through... For a hotel that charges $AU140 per night, in the middle of a Rome summer, it’s only reasonable to expect your room to be cool when come home from a hot day out and specially when you are trying to sleep. During our entire stay at this hotel we went out several times, and every single one of them when we came back the temperature inside the room was hotter then the temperature outside the building even though the air con was left on to try to cool down the room, which forced us to open the window to try to equalize the temperature and bring a bit of cooler breeze from outside.Daily cleaning is good and I give the hotel credits for it, however, our toilet paper was nearly finished and no spare was left after the daily room service and we still had 2 more days to go, which prompted me to ask the cleaning lady for a spare one which she was happy to provide us with.it’s not being topped up, so I asked the cleaning lady for one roll, she opened a cabinet just right on the corridor, in there it had bottled drinks, sheets and toilet rolls on shelves, it doesn’t look professional as it looked. The room and the bathroom was clean. Although, the shower room was incredibly small (about 80X80cm) which makes it quite difficult to take a shower even for a small person. I’m a female 160com tall and skinny and I found it very hard to turn around in the little cubical... To consider the location is not so close to those tourist attractions, I do not want to come back for a stay again.

Place is nice and peaceful. They do have small cafe inside which is good. Staff is very friendly and they are always ready to help you with big smile on their face.
