Reviews
Service was okay, the toilet wouldn't stop running water and they fixed it during a day.
Front desk staff: Rude and unhelpful from check-in to check-out. Not welcoming at all.
Internet: Constantly dropped and, when connected, unbearably slow, making it nearly impossible to work.
Elevator: Out of service during my stay, which was very inconvenient and required us to carry our luggage up flights of steps.
Room size: Extremely small. You literally had to shimmy sideways to move past the beds.
Temperature: The room was freezing. The thermostat couldn’t be adjusted beyond 20°C, which made for a very cold stay.
Noise: Poor soundproofing. Street noise kept us up at night, and deliveries to nearby restaurants started around 6 a.m., making sleeping in impossible.
Gym: Closed for maintenance with no advance notice. When I asked about compensation or alternatives, the hotel refused to provide either.
Breakfast: While included, the quality was poor. Guests were even expected to peel their own fruit definitely not what I’d expect from a hotel at this price point.
Overall, this hotel did not deliver on basic comfort, service, or value. With so many wonderful places to stay in Rome, I strongly recommend choosing elsewhere.
My only complaint was the rooms were smaller and there was no view but that is very likely in Rome
The location of the hotel is perfect – almost right next to the Fontana di Trevi and just a few minutes walk from most of Rome’s major historic sites, surrounded by dozens of restaurants, bars and entertainment spots.
The hotel itself is not very large (3 floors, a few dozen rooms), and the design of the room I received (on the 3rd floor) was, in my eyes, beautiful – the walls were tastefully decorated, the wardrobes had wood paneling, and the very high ceilings featured impressive wooden beams. The bed was large and comfortable, and overall the room felt very inviting. The level of maintenance was excellent – both the room itself and the bathroom were very clean, and it was clear the hotel had undergone a major renovation in recent years.
I especially enjoyed the air conditioning, which was powerful and immediately noticeable as soon as you stepped in from the street. Breakfast was also very good, especially the fresh pastries, and the staff were extremely kind and attentive. For some weird reason the breakfast room didn't have air conditioning so it was a bit warm while eating.
The only thing I found odd in the room was the bathtub design – it was very narrow and deeply curved, making it extremely uncomfortable to stand in, to the point that it hurt my feet (I attached a photo to illustrate the issue). It was so strange that I thought it might deter me from returning to the hotel, but thankfully it seems this is not the case in other rooms. In addition, when I leaned on the glass window in the bathroom, I discovered that it was not fixed but could be opened, and I almost fell – I think this deserves a clear safety warning to prevent accidents.
Without a doubt, I will return (but next time I’ll ask for a room with a shower instead!).
- Located in the middle of a restaurant street right in front of the Trevi Fountain
- Located in the heart of a tourist area, but not too noisy outside (though you can hear noise from the hallways).
- Most places are within walking distance, and since the distances are all tourist attractions, it's not dangerous to walk at night.
- The Pantheon, Colosseum, and other attractions are all within a 20-minute walk.
2. Facilities
- The facilities are generally old and somewhat worn.
- The lack of outlets is a bit inconvenient.
- The bathroom is spacious and convenient for storing toiletries.
- However, the sewer smell can be quite strong in the evening, so it's best to keep the door closed.
- The water runs well, but there's only a fixed shower.
- Wi-Fi is provided, but it's not very effective except in the hallways (the Wi-Fi password is posted on a sticker in the elevator).
3. Breakfast
- Open from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM on the basement level.
- A wide variety of delicious breads (pistachio cream, Nutella bread, etc.)
- There's a waffle maker, so you can make your own waffles.
4. Other
- The staff isn't very friendly.
- The restaurant area near the Trevi Fountain is full of great options, so it's a good place to grab a bite.
- There's a supermarket and souvenir shops right next door, so it's great for light shopping.
- There's a self-service laundromat next to the Trevi Fountain, so it's great for doing laundry (it's fast and efficient).
If you can't find a hotel you'd prefer, consider this one.
The dining area is fine, the breakfast is the best thing about it. The service is average. The location is also good, but it is not a 4 star and it is not worth the price.
