Rose & Tulip S.R.L. in Rome

I had an absolutely awful experience with this place. I didn't even get to STAY at the place because NO ONE WAS THERE TO CHECK ME IN. I told the owner I'd arrive at 2:30 but my train rain late so I wasn't able to get there until an hour later. And as I had no WiFi, I had no way to let him know. No one answered the door when I rang. I was able to slip into the apartment building and head to the door of the B&B. But when I knocked no answer. I eventually asked his neighbors across the hallway to call him, which they graciously did. No answer. Apparently, "concierge" is only there if there's someone to check in, which is completely ridiculous. If you want to run a B&B, you need to pony up the money and pay to have a concierge service that's available until at least 7 p.m., if not 24/7. Then a woman and a man entered into the B&B. I try to follow them in and tell them I have a reservation (and I also have my luggage with me) and they said, "No," and shut the door in my face. I ended up booking another hotel in a different part of the city which was absolutely amazing. The owner later contacts me and I tell him what happened and he says that it "sounds strange," as if he didn't believe me. He says he had someone there until 4 which is an absolute LIE because I was there until 4 unable to enter. No refund. Nothing. He didn't care. He says he tried calling me several times, but I only had ONE missed call from him. Nothing else. I was treated appallingly by this place and I regret that I ever booked it in the first place.
