Hotel Abruzzi in Rome

Staff at reception were very welcoming and helpful. Asked for a room with a view of the pantheon and were not disappointed. There was a bit of noise late into the night as it was overlooking a very touristy square but we managed to sleep. The air-conditioning was really quiet. The bathroom in our room could have done with a magnifying mirror. It would have been nice to have breakfast on site however the restaurant that the hotel uses was just 100 metres away. There is a mobile phone in each room for customers to use free of charge for the duration of your stay. Great if you do not want to drain your own phone's battery. Nice touch.

Maggie and I have stayed at the Albergo Abruzzi four times and would never consider staying anywhere else in Rome. Located across from the historic, breathtaking Pantheon in the historic section the location is unparalleled. The rooms are very nice and the rates are extremely fair.

Now for the best part. The extremely friendly staff is willingly there to answer questions and solve problems. You are welcomed with open arms and immediately feel like family. You will love the experience!

We are finishing up our vacation in Rome. We are truly sad to leave because the staff is wonderful, helpful and accommodating. The hotel is in a perfect location, right in front of the Pantheon. It is an easy walk to the Vatican.
There is a cell phone for guest use, which helped us a lot.
If I am able to come to Rome again, I will not hesitate to stay here again.

Hotel Abruzzi was a fantastic choice for our last day in Italy. Our beautiful room was ready and the view of the Pantheon from the room was spectacular. Giorgia at the front desk was welcoming, pleasant and very helpful during the check in and check out processes. She explained how breakfast would work in the morning, cheerfully took charge of our luggage until the room was ready (we arrived earlier than the 2pm check in) and clearly answered all of our questions. Next time we are in Rome, I hope we’ll have more than time and would very much love to stay at Hotel Abruzzi again.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days and had a great experience. The location is amazing, right outside of the pantheon which is pretty central to all major tourist spots. I only took off a star because the bed was not very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and we still enjoyed our stay very much.

Great location for seeing everything and eating options. Nice size room and an incredible breakfast.

Great hotel in the centre of Rome. Good breakfast, nice rooms, great view! Can walk to the Colosseum in 25 mins and vatican in 30.

Fantastic location. Couldn’t be better. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms nice size for Europe. Updated not too long ago. Stairs to get to elevator which is trying after walking all over Rome for multiple days but the view makes it worth it. Breakfast included at a nice cafe right across the piazza. Good selection, doesn’t change but honestly it’s enough to keep you going till lunch and it’s free so who can complain? Plus, a few times we had early things planned and they hotel had to go breakfast bags for us which was super nice.

Two things that were troublesome though: the double bed was just two twins together which if you and your partner like to cuddle or whatnot, you wake up in a crack in between that was very uncomfortable, and over the days the beds shift apart as they are held together by a top sheet only. And second, during the winter months they turn the AC off completely so if you get warm, your only option is to open the windows which let in the noise from the piazza. It gets VERY noisy. Like it woke us up many times from a dead sleep in the middle of the night (Italy never sleeps apparently). The windows do an excellent job keeping noise out when closed however. Kind of crazy how much of a difference it is. Anyway, love the location and staff but based on those two things, we’d probably have to try and find somewhere else next time we are in Rome. But, if the bed situation and AC doesn’t bother you, hands down this is a super pick.

My place to stay when I come to Rome! Open up your window and have an amazing view of the Pantheon and hear a man singing opera from the plaza below! Economical with breakfast included. You cant beat that!!! Very well located near all the main attractions. In the heart of Rome and in my opinion the best area where to stay. I highly recommend it!
