+ One night in February, single room in the annex building with elevator. Excellent hotel, small, well-equipped room. Wonderful staff. Wonderful breakfast in the main building across the street.- Nothing

Clean room and bath; breakfast room impressive; efficient staff; good location. The only setback is our room is too small and pricey. We can hardly move around our room for 4 nights. Grateful that the bed and beddings were clean and comfy.

The location was really neat, tucked in on a small street. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was clean, well furnished and cozy. The breakfast buffet and espresso was excellent. Thank you!

Love this hotel! Small rooms but oh so nice. Has everything you need, comfortable beds, nice shower etc..

The hotel location was central for our needs. Although the room was small it had enough space to not feel too cramped for two of us. The breakfast assortment was fantastic and the overall staff is very friendly and helpful. Roscioli is just a few steps across the hotel and they have good pizza. I would stay here again.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful—always ready with a smile and great service. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable—exactly what I needed for a relaxing stay.
The location was also perfect—close to everything I wanted to see and do, which made getting around super easy and convenient. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this place checks all the boxes.

The hotel itself was fine and it's in a good location in the city. However, do NOT request a taxi from the hotel itself to pick you up from the airport. They will quote you a flat fee of 75 euros to pick up three people, and charge you an extra 15 if it's after 6 pm or so. The city of Rome has a predetermined fare of 55 euros for trips from the airport to a location inside the Rome city walls, which includes Hotel Smeraldo. Don't get scammed, and instead use the app Freenow to order a taxi.
