Hotel Smeraldo

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful—always ready with a smile and great service. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable—exactly what I needed for a relaxing stay.

The location was also perfect—close to everything I wanted to see and do, which made getting around super easy and convenient. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this place checks all the boxes.

Highly recommended! I’ll definitely be coming back.

Comfortable, quiet and perfectly located hotel in Rome. Friendly staff and clean, cozy rooms. Bed is comfortable. We had an outside-facing room and the double-glazed windows meant we slept very well. Luggage storage available too. Rooftop bar is a sweet way to end the day and our bartender was great.

Very friendly staff and excellent service thank you to the wonderful team there. The rooms are a bit small but very, very clean (and I am fussy about cleanliness). The location is very central. The breakfasts were the best of any hotel we stayed at on this trip. Very happy to recommend.

A must stay! We booked a small room at this hotel last minute for a one-night stay. I cannot stress enough how wonderful the staff is! Every person we encountered spoke English and was pleasant and very helpful. After we got back from dinner, we noticed the toilet wouldn’t stop running and although it was a Saturday night and maintenance wasn’t available, the concierge came up to the room to try and fix it. It was a success! We had a very comfortable and relaxing evening. Cesare and Michela were especially helpful to ensure we had a wonderful stay.

Do NOT DRIVE here! Parking garage about 10 minute walk outside ZTL area.
Restricted traffic area so only book if you are walking or taking a taxi.

I personally stay here as well as book for clients and this hotel is perfect in every regard.
The rooms are modern and comfortable , the staff is superior not only in hospitality but as well as assisting with questions. And the fact you see the same staff over a number of visit speaks volumes of positive in management.
Top quality staff across all levels from waitstaff to housekeeping to door man to front desk!! Excellent!!
The breakfast is extremely hearty, fresh and delicious.
And the roof top bar is absolutely wonderful!!! Open until 11pm most nights.

Wonderful hotel. Staff was exceptionally friendly. I had a single room in the annex building and it was perfect. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel is very centrally located for visiting all the hot spots in Rome. Many restaurants close by.

Had the most perfect stay at hotel Smeraldo, as soon as we entered the staff were very friendly and happy to help with anything. One of the receptionist, Cesare was great he was giving us all of his top recommendations for places to go, eat and drink. Such a great, friendly guy, thank you!

Location: The location is unbeatable, close to all major sites, with travel times ranging from 5 to 20 minutes. There are also a variety of restaurants within a 3-minute walk, and on Saturdays, there’s a nearby market that adds an authentic touch to the experience.
