Residenza Laterano in Rome

Without any further notice, my booking was apparently cancelled and I ended up standing in front of the B&B without a place to sleep.

My credit card could initially not be charged during the booking process, so I was asked to contact the residence. I did so, but never received a reply to my emails. Despite this, Hostelworld messages continued to make it seem as if my booking was still confirmed until the very last day.

The outsourced customer service is an absolute disaster. It is unacceptable not to inform guests about a cancellation at all, and even on the phone there was no real understanding or accountability shown.

The owners reply to my message is not true. As I stated, I emailed them twice and this was weeks in advance to the trip.

David was welcoming, and the room itself was clean, although small.

However the bathroom was fairly filthy, there was barely a kitchen to speak of, just a sink area in the corner of an entry area, a fridge that was out of order and a toaster—not even a kettle to make coffee!

The room does not match the pictures, and the only storage is a rail with some hangers, no drawers at all. Upon arrival I was provided a top sheet and a couple of blankets that are too small for the bed, and had to make the bed myself.

Overall, it sufficed for my purposes for a few nights, but I would be unlikely to return.

Not air conditioning almost four room to one bathroom , not services towel neither clean daily room, , too many mosquitos and humidity room . Not Breakfast include only just one macchiato and one sweet bread outside the building.
