Wow! We needed to stay overnight in Rome whilst in transit, and the last hotel we stayed at in this beautiful city disappointed. The Hotel Lancelot is an oasis of calm and charm just a very short stroll from the Colosseum. Staff are fluent in English, warm and extraordinarily efficient and friendly. They actively look for ways to anticipate our needs and nothing is too much trouble.
The rooms are three star, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Very highly recommended. This is what hotels used to be like before egos got in the way of customer service.
If you have the opportunity to eat in the hotel restaurant, not only is it delicious and great value, but take the opportunity to converse with Faris, the manager and expert cook for your evening.

We spent 5 nights here while visiting Rome. The rooms were clean and tidy and the staff and service were excellent. The hotel is only a short distance from the Colosseum and there are a number of excellent restaurants close by. The Colosseum Metro stop is also close by and a good option to travel further into the city. Although the location is near to a major attraction it is peaceful and quite. We'd stay there again when visiting Rome.

If you want to visit Rome and experience the city inside the walls, I highly recommend this place. I had a view of the Colosseum from my balcony and could walk to many bars and Restaurants close by. The main reason I’m leaving this review though is because of the service we received. It’s a family run hotel and they know how to treat their guests. First class the whole way! Thank you for making our stay memorable.

This is your hotel of choice when we visit Rome. We came here August 16-19 2024 with some of our family and had a wonderful stay. Staff is amazing and could not be more helpful, rooms are clean and very comfortable. The location is perfect!! A quiet respite after touring Rome. My family agrees with me and this is definitely going to be their go to place to stay in the future. Love Hotel Lancelot!!

This was another Frommer’s Travel Guide (old school paperback) find. It’s a three minute walk to the Coliseum. And we could see it from our terrace! (See my pics) The room was actually a suite, and the staff was fantastic. The best part was the private gated parking area, but make sure you reserve a spot when you book the room, because there aren’t many spaces and it’s a really tight space (just like all of Rome).

The hotel is a quaint, but comfortable residence. It offers a basic breakfast and has a small bar/coffee area. Staff are efficient and courteous and the experience overall is very positive.
