LVG Hotel Collection - Grand Hotel Mediterranee in Alassio

We stayed at Grand Hotel Mediterranee and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is charming, with a great location and comfortable rooms. While there were a few minor things that could be improved, the staff truly made the difference.

From the reception to the restaurant, several team members went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. It’s because of these exceptional people that I’m rounding up my rating to 5 stars — they are the heart of this hotel and the reason we’d gladly return.

Great location on the beach! We were able to easily walk for dining and shopping and the train station was close to take day trips to other towns.

Wonderful stay at this amazing hotel! Perfect location and beautiful beach. Room was super clean and very spacious. Breakfast buffet was amazing and lunch at the private beach restaurant was phenomenal. Fantastic and friendly staff, with a special thank you to Emilia and Wissel! Can't wait to be back. We recently stayed at Grand Hotel Mediterranee in Alassio and overall had a very enjoyable experience. We booked through Hotiday, a virtual agency, not realizing that bookings through them may be assigned to a specific part of the hotel—next to a construction site. Thankfully, during our June stay, there was no construction happening, so it was quiet. In the future, we’ll book directly with the hotel to secure a room with a better view.

Our room was clean, modern, and included a balcony with a partial sea view, which we appreciated. It comfortably fit the three of us. The hotel offers excellent facilities, though be aware that access to the spa, pool, jacuzzi, and gym comes at an extra cost.

Breakfast was a highlight—served right on the beachfront in the hotel’s private beach area. It was lovely to start the day with the sea just steps away and a wide selection of food to choose from. The assortment was generous and satisfying, making for a very pleasant experience each morning.

The hotel’s private beach area is located directly in front of the property. It’s available for a fee of around €65 per day, and offers comfortable loungers, umbrellas, and access to the sea. If it’s full or you’re looking for other options, there are several more beaches within walking distance. The beach itself is sandy, clean, and the water is a clear, vibrant blue—one of the best along the Savona/Liguria coast in my opinion.

Parking is available on-site for €28 per day, and it was both convenient and secure. A big thank you to Stefano, who helped us with valet parking and even allowed us to keep the car a few extra hours after checkout so we could enjoy more time at the beach. That level of service made a big difference in our day.

The hotel is centrally located, with plenty of restaurants, beach bars, and shops nearby. Everything you need is within walking distance.

The front desk staff were warm and accommodating. Special thanks to Emilia, who gave us a smooth check-out experience and coordinated with Stefano regarding our parking. Thanks to her, we were able to enjoy one more beautiful day in Alassio.

Overall, I highly recommend Grand Hotel Mediterranee to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and luxurious seaside stay. Whether you’re there to relax or explore, this hotel makes it easy to enjoy every moment.

Hotel in a great location, very attentive, polite, friendly and helpful staff, the chef is exquisite and very professional, the maitre d'oeuvre is always attentive to any needs, the clientele is suitable for this class, there is a guarded and monitored parking. Possibility to have breakfast, also in the large dining room, even under the magnificent land or at tables next to the beach located on a long promenade. Clean and always well-kept rooms, efficient air conditioning to suit your needs. Very beautiful and elegant place. Recommended . S. Tesauro

I have been staying here for the last 10 plus years. All the staff are new this year. They are trying their best at reception but they don’t really know what they are doing yet. I love this hotel. Sad to see all the old staff have gone especially the GM. Breakfast is good. The menu in the restaurant has gone up to €40 which l find outrageously expensive for what you get. The rooms are lovely. Not sure l will return after this visit which is sad.
