We went to the restaurant for lunch. Staff welcoming and food was excellent. The cheese pasta which is finished at the table in a huge wheel of cheese actually drew a crowd around our table.

Restaurant only review: (1) best cooked scallops in my life (2) beef with goose liver and Madeira sauce amazing incredible (3) staff very hospitable . Overall best meal in Italy so far. It's fairly expensive but not as expensive as an equivalent restaurant back home. (The restaurant has a cover charge of 4€ p/p, which I guess is to discourage the masses from taking up a table in this prime location and not ordering a meal.)

Posting about the restaurant and not the hotel. My favorite out of the restaurants in Bellagio. It is a little more fancy than the others with entrees at around €14-16 and mains starting at €20.

We went to the restaurant at Hotel Swisse. We had risotto and it was the best I've ever had Along with the risotto, we tried the salmon pasta and salt grilled sea bass. Very delicious food. Add to that the excellent service and the amazing sea view.

My husband and I dined at many establishments during our week in Bellagio. The Hotel Suisse gave us two of the best dining experiences of our stay. People leave reviews talking about long wait times for food, staff being rushed etc… it is what you make of it. Our meals were fantastic both upstairs for dinner and downstairs for lunch and we met some fantastic people there. The owner made a point to acknowledge us both visits and the staff was friendly and attentive. I will always be willing to wait a bit for a great meal as opposed to getting quick service and a sup-par meal. When you read reviews, take them for what they are worth. Some people just don’t understand the service industry and will never be happy, They also don’t see the value in a quality meal. On our next trip to lake Como, we will definitely visit again.

Lovely seating on the terrace upstairs. Best service and fantastic food. Highly recommended. Boats though need to go green to avoid the fumes from interfering with the experience..
