Worst stay ever
The room was a disaster; worn down bed, bathroom dirty, mold in the shower, etc … The girl at the reception was friendly and took the time to explain the neighborhood. But else the stay was not worth its money. The pictures on ********** are from a few years ago and do not show the current state of the room(s).
Try to avoid this place if possible.

We arrived late, tired from a long drive, only to enter a room that had no air condition!
When we opened the windows, heavy traffic noise echoed in; lots of obnoxious motorcycles speeding.
The bathroom smelled of urine, the shower walls are full of mold, upper bunk mattress sunk, furniture parts were falling off.
Because it was so hot in the room, the four of us couldn’t sleep for more than a couple of hours.
We asked for a fan and they said they don’t have any.

The only benefit was free parking across the street.

Tried to reach the hotel manager at 11:30 AM and he said that he’ll get back to me after 4 PM to which he never got back to me.

Horrible, horrible dump of a hotel, stupid management (owner?) response.
Couldn’t wait to get out of the hell hole.
I waited til last moment, hence the poor judgement in reserving this crap of a so called hotel.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The AC in the room rattled so much we needed to wedge something against it to reduce the noise. Breakfast spread was poor.

basic but definitely gets the job done. staff is friendly, restaurant is good, area is amazing, price is reasonable.

The hotel was situated very close to the train station… not noisy though… and close to the water and little town with a lot of character and very good restaurants. Easy to get to other parts of Lake Como by train or ferry. We loved it. Although the room was comfortable, the shower was tiny and a little mouldy for my liking and they ran out of towels so I had to use hand towels to shower. Lucca was a great host!

I expected a simple but decent hotel, not the shabby one I found. The hotel description on the website is simply ridiculous and unrealistic. The location is excellent for those who need to travel, and the cleanliness is appreciable. Otherwise, the furniture is broken or damaged, the decor is dated and tacky, and there's no service. This is the first time I haven't received a receipt immediately, but it's emailed to me later, and I have to request it. Definitely overpriced for what it looks like.

Lovely little hotel in Mandello, a bit 'faded' but clean, spacious rooms, great restaurant and charming helpful service. Nice little terrace for breakfast/dining/aperitivi and ideally placed for everything. Recommended!

Some of the best pizza I've had in Italy. Very friendly staff

Enjoyed our pasta dishes. Prawns were slightly overcooked. Pizzas and calzones going out to other tables looked really good. Service was friendly and efficient.

Amazing pizza !
Though service is pretty low and needs improvement... We had to wait to place the order and get the drinks for really long time. Drinks were served only after the pizzas arrived. Two pizza orders were mixed - got Napoli instead of Napoletano. Yes it was busy, but I'm not sure if they were understaffed or simply disorganized.
