Absolutely top ski hotel just a few minutes bus ride from the main ski lifts and the ski bus stops right outside! The staff were unbelievably friendly and really looked after us during our stay. The only reason I have given 4 stars is because the rooms were pretty basic but it served our needs well

A nice budget friendly hotel. Food was ok, always three course dinners with the addition of a great and varied salad bar. Breakfast was fine but could of done with some hot options. Rooms were very basic but clean and warm. Was a good base for a days skiing as the lifts were only a few minutes away on the free bus service.

It's a great hotel!! However, if you do not drive it is quite a walk into Stressa. So a taxi is needed it costs roughly 15€. You do get the most amazing views. Breakfast is very simple but you have a wide variety of continental options. No hot breakfast options.

Beautifully perched on a promontory with view over Lake Major. It's best to have your breakfast under the morning sun on the terrace overlooking the lake. We stayed about a week in this hotel. It is very conveniently located in Stresa center and close to pier on the lake. Rooms are extremely clean and furniture and decoration is wooden (which I liked a lot). Owner Federico and his manager Taya were super helpful, polite and charming. Breakfast was good. The attitude of the hotel owners was almost unbelievably good! They we trying hard to advice you where to go, what to see, what tours to buy etc. And their advices were not for profit, they never asked you to mention their names or something - they simply wanted you to enjoy their area.

Discreet rooms. The staff were very kind and professional. The breakfast probably cause covid was not great ... cappuccino made with the self service machine was not to my liking as was the coffee. Had a nice comfortable stay at Hotel Eden for 2 nights. Nice family run hotel (I guess), the staff in the reception were very warm and nice. There are about 60 steep curves from Verbania until one reaches the top of Monterosso where the hotel is. But once you overcome those obstacles, you have the most beautiful view over Lago Maggiore (including Isola Bella), excellent home-made meals from local ingredients and relaxing atmosphere.

The hotel was close to tram and bus stations (so, it's easy to go to the centre of Torino), In's Mercato (supermarket) and a Pastry, where you can buy very delicious cannoli siciliani. Inside the hotel there is a vending machine, where you can buy tasty and hot lemon tea for cold mornings at a cheap price (0,5 euro). The room was spatious and clean. There is no meal option.

Ive eaten all over this region for decades and this is a particularly good example of the wonderful local cuisine beautifully reinterpreted in a gastronomic yet unpretentious style. It doesn't get much better than this and prices are very reasonable. Its also a hotel that seems very nice.

The Antica Stallera was a good choice considering it being a three-star hotel. The runner up was the Hotel Cannobio, but its price did not convince us.
