Hotel Simplon in Baveno

I was disappointed with my stay at this resort.

The facilities are quite dated and appear to need renovation and better maintenance. While this alone would not have been enough to leave a negative review, my experience with customer service was the deciding factor.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I needed to leave one day earlier than planned. Although I understand the resort has a policy regarding early departures, I was disappointed by the complete lack of flexibility or goodwill. There was no effort to understand my situation or offer any customer-oriented solution.

Good hospitality is about more than simply enforcing policies. It is about treating guests with empathy and recognising that unexpected situations can happen. A small gesture of understanding would have left a much better impression.

Unfortunately, the combination of dated facilities and inflexible customer service means I would not choose to stay here again, nor would I recommend it to others.

I booked the hotel directly by email for 3 nights and 3 rooms, not prepaid! Then, since my customers changed their plans, I was obliged to cancel the last night and to leave a day earlier. I was charged full for the entire stay. I believe that to make customers satisfied, any hospitality structure should be flexible to find "suitable" solutions to accomodate plan changes! I decided to pay and avoid any further discussio but I think that this should be made public!
