Al Borgo Medievale in Castelmola

An absolutely enchanting stay at Borgo Medievale in Castelmola! While the location and views are spectacular, what truly made our trip unforgettable was the exceptional customer service and warmth provided by Lorenzo D'Allura. Lorenzo is the epitome of hospitality—he ensured every detail was perfect, and thanks to him, our entire stay was smooth and incredibly pleasant. We left feeling grateful and hope to return. Highly recommended!

Very nice suite, amazing view of Etna, medieval theme is quaint, bed is ok, the wind at night makes the doors shake/noise, it’s right near the piazza/restaurants. We had little idea how high up the mountain this was, and the communication video regarding load in wasn’t to our suite, but reception (it’s a diffuse hotel). Plus it’s a ZTL zone, so we opted to lug bags up stairs from a car park below, and the communication for getting to the suite itself (which wasn’t marked by the address number given) wasn’t effective, so we ended up going up and down several staircases while lost before arriving. Just be aware that load in isn’t straightforward. The town should fix the elevator from the car park below. We had a nice time however.

Balcony views of the volcano Etna and steps away from a piazza offering cafes, gelato, and Bar Turrisi. The little renovated farmhouse is a stand alone cottage, for those who appreciate their privacy. AC works great. Tour guides pick you up and drop you off. Bus stop at Piazza San Antonio brings up and down the mountain.

Tucked away in the heartof the magical medieval citadel of Castelmola, the Borgo Medievale offers both a comfortable stay and warm hospitality. The rooms are spacious and have cooking facilities. If you want to relax there is a very pleasant spa. Eateries and scenery and stunning. What more could you want? Simply lovely.

Nice place to stay, the room is huge and clean. The shower is very small and hard to take a relaxing shower in... The village is really pretty but there is trash and lots of stray animals, which doesn't make the village very clean. Parking is not free but with easy parking it will cost 10 euros a day and the parking looks fine. Breakfast was pretty late but ok.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for those like us who love to spend romantic weekends in the name of relaxation .. in this case in a small medieval village like Castelmola.
Central location (a stone's throw from the Duomo), clean rooms and SPA and excellent hospitality from the staff always available to satisfy our small requests .. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Beauty set between the cobalt sea and the roaring mountain: at the Medieval Village you live a unique and cinematic experience. The hotel is beautiful and well-kept, very clean and tidy thanks to the service offered by all the staff, Veronica in the lead.

Located in an enchanting place, close to the suggestive and poetic square, overlooked by the famous Bar Turrisi, Borgo Medievale offers spacious accommodation, surrounded by typical and beautiful houses. The colors and scents of Castelmola find their maximum expression in the suggestive terrace overlooked by the large and comfortable King Artù room. From there the sunset is poignant, the superb sunrise, the marvelous smoky plume of the great mountain, strewn with lava. Behind this terrace stands the cathedral, another magical element of the King Arthur room. However, most of the rooms have a nice view over the narrow streets or Mount Etna that slopes down towards the blue sea that embraces Taormina. The spa is also very intimate and clean, allowing few people to have a relaxing and fun experience.

Every corner in Castelmola deserves a look: it is fantastic to get lost in the alleys that still know how to tell a story of other times, a Sicilian life that is intertwined with embroidery, ceramics, almond wine, typical liqueurs sold in the alleys that always lead at the edge overlooking the sea. Sicily is there with all its heart. I highly recommend this hotel, the prices will also be a pleasant surprise!
