Famous for the Michelin star female chef. She may be famous but this place is not worth the hype. The prices for the food were sort of nuts. 70 euro for some grilled escarole (lettuce). The special dishes were not special and not specially good. The receptionist was HORRIBLE and very overly proud of her English. As she put, "My English is perfect." Too bad her service was not only imperfect but also obnoxiously rude. Apparently, there are four receptionists so maybe the others are nicer. One can only hope.

A fine hotel however the pool was in a disgusting state for the entire 6 days we stayed here: dark green and very turbid. The hotel offered no remedy - or even an apology - and instead told us this was “normal and safe”. I had a look in the pool room and it is a standard chlorine & sand filter treatment system and so green & murky water is neither normal or safe. Very disappointing for a hotel at this price point.

We spent 4 nights at the Signum and were very disappointed by our stay:
- The good things are that the hotel is beautiful and well located and booked us scooters when we asked; also the Spa is nice
- The pool area is small, there were few sun beds around it and in the morning people put their towels to book them for the day so we didn’t find any available on our first day. There were lots of children, some quite noisy, playing in the pool without the staff saying anything
- We took a superior room (350e / night without breakfast included): it didn’t have a coffee machine, 50cl bottle of waiter costs 4e in the minibar
- The Shuttle to the port costs 25e each way whereas it is generally included for this kind of hotels
- The worst was that on our last day, we booked the shuttle transfer and it wasn’t there at the scheduled time. I had to go back at the reception and ask the staff to call another taxi - they didn’t apologise and we had to run with our luggages to catch our boat. This would not be acceptable even for a 2-star hotel.
Service in the hotel is overall poor
