I was traveling solo and looking for a place close to the heart of the city. You can easily walk here from Firenze SMN train station, and the picturesque streets on the way already set the tone — you’ll be amazed.
The hotel is located right next to the Boboli Gardens. The building has real character; the entrance and lobby are filled with sculptures and artwork, giving you the feeling that your stay will be something special.
My room had a beautiful view of the Boboli Gardens. It was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. There is also an internal AC unit — a great detail you don’t always find.
I asked if I could leave my backpack before check-in, and they kindly accepted.

If I visit Florence again, I would definitely book the same hotel!
We were in room 20 with a terrace, which unfortunately we didn’t really get to use since we had rainy days, but it was still lovely to look out and see all the plants. I’m sure it’s so peaceful when it’s dry out. The only complaint is that the mattress is quite firm, but that’s more of a personal preference than the fault of the hotel. If you prefer softer mattresses with more give, you may not be the most comfortable, but the location, beauty, and historic charm may be enough to make it worth it! My partner slept soundly, so it’s not a terrible mattress, it just isn’t what my body prefers. Overall, worth a stay at a hotel that is clearly cared for by the staff.
Reception is open from around 7am to 9:30pm and you receive the hotel keys so you can enter whenever you want.
The building is quite old and not very well maintained so the main entry is a bit creepy.
The hotel is nice, well decorated and maintained. Staff is super friendly.
Also, you can leave your luggage before checkin or after checkout.

If I may offer a small suggestion for enhancement, it would be to elevate the breakfast experience. While the €7 price is reasonable, a selection of higher-quality items—such as artisanal jams, fresh-baked bread, and wholesome cereals—would add great value. Offering more nutritious options could make breakfast as enjoyable as the rest of the stay :)
Feels like living in a museum, or an old palace..
I felt like I was some important guest of Medici family
But the most amazing part is the staff, Fon made our late check in possible because our flight was delayed, he is extremely helpful and friendly, so does Egli that kindly offered us a late check out. We are very pleased and will definitely come back next time!
