After waiting outside for half an hour we were greeted by a grumpy woman who marched us around to number 25. We were taken into a back room where 2 older people were sat eating their meal and their son. As the lady left she swore in Italian. We were then taken back to number 27 and into a disgusting room with a noisy toilet with water constantly running. The pillow case had a stain on it and it was just awful. We had to book into the hostle around the corner. We were only offered half of the money we paid back. Dont waste your money or time. I wasnt happy after traveling 4 hours to have to wait half an hour on the street. Ignorant and rude people.

The rooms are dated and poorly maintained. The bathroom is even worse. Just consider that the overhead shower head, which has no lid, risks flooding your shower every time it fills. Not to mention the smell inside, a mix of deodorant and smoke. Your shoes stick to the floor. However, the location is perfect for quickly reaching the city center.

Hotel was hard to find, a worker from hotel next door helped us find our spot. When we arrived around 8pm the hotel owner was is they were booked up (spoke Italian and was translated in English by the other hotel worker stated prior). The hotel had some bugs and our luggage smelled after our stay (first leg of our trip). this is a small mom and pop business but by far unaccommodating.

This is the WORST accommodation. If you value your life DO NOT STAY HERE. I have never feared for my life more in a guest house / hotel. The door did not properly lock, it would have fallen off the hinge with one light kick. There were men outside the room all hours of the night. A hole was punched in the wall by our door and the wood of the door was completely broken and separated in the morning. We barricaded the door with the desk and even that was not enough. The room and whole floor smelt terrible of sewer. The toilet was broke off the wall. The walls and sheets had brown smear all over. Shame on ******* for listing this property.

Clean, basic room in excellent location at an affordable price for Florence. Excellent shower and a comfortable bed. The Family room even has a little fridge.

Three of us traveled together and gave the four-person room a good review. The location was great, very close to the Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore), within walking distance. Communication was a bit difficult; the receptionist was a very elderly gentleman who only spoke Italian. He wrote the daily guest list in a notebook and looked at it with a magnifying glass, and he was still working despite his advanced age. The reception desk and guest rooms weren't at the same door; you had to go to the front door and ring the doorbell several times before the old man heard you and opened the door.

The main advantages are its value for money and location. It's a hotel converted from an old building, so don't have high expectations for cleanliness.

The check-in area is a bit hidden; there's a small room at the very back where an elderly gentleman writes down the information of each guest's daily check-in. Remember to pay the city tax in cash. The gentleman's English isn't very good, but you can use a translation app to translate into Italian to communicate with him. He's a very kind person!

Luggage storage is available. We forgot our power bank at first, and the hotel staff kindly collected it and left it at check-in (thank you to everyone who helped us!). It's very close to all the attractions (about a 40-minute walk to Piazzale Michelangelo, and all others within 20 minutes). The toilet isn't very good; you have to close the lid before flushing.

This hotel is gross. It smells like sewage, the bathroom has black mold, mosquitoes buzzed around our ears all night, and the bedding looks to be at least 30 years old. You have to check in offsite but he was friendly (though didn’t speak any English). The park across the street is really sketchy and the neighborhood feels unsafe.
