Reviews
Really clean and great place to stop
The front of house staff and restaurant servers were lovely, polite and professional! The tourist tax was also very cheap in my opinion, only 3 euro a night which we were allowed to pay upfront so no messing around during check out!
However the only slight downside was the room there was constant nose coming from the fridge every 30 minuets or so, which as a person who likes back ground noise it was very loud and distracting. The bed sheets as well were very noisy and almost felt damp (not sure what washing powder they use) but they were definitely clean and dry, just slightly uncomfortable to sleep in. Hard to explain the sound and feel if I’m honest, all three of us had the same experience with this saying in three separate rooms) it was the same sort of sheets they use in Venice so might have something to do with there brands?
The room size was nice but not memorable, there also weren’t any plug sockets by the bed which I thought was strange! We had to unplug the lamp across the room to use one there and then also one other socket by the door which was annoying so only two for the whole room!? There also isn’t a kettle provided in the room (again slightly weird as never stayed anywhere abroad without a kettle and mugs naturally provided) however when we went to the reception to ask for one they were very very good in proving a tray with a kettle, cups with milk and sugar. So that was nice service but just be aware of this if you like to make a tea or coffee in the morning when you first wake up.
We pre paid for our breakfast as well when we booked through loveholidays so didn’t have to worry about that, the selection of food is good and tasted nice so would always find something to eat. They also serve breakfast from 7:00 - 11:00 which was soo nice as didn’t have to stress about waking up early to eat!
The layout of the hotel is nice and very welcoming when you walk in and they also provide free drinks at the side of reception to help yourself. Again staff were very well mannered and helpful all around so can’t complain at all. If you have pre booked airport transfer though do also keep in mind they tend to pick you up VERY VERY early from the hotel for some reason, the airport staff and even our flight attendants confirmed this on our return back which even they don’t understand so you will be waiting around for a while once you arrive at the airport. You also can’t get through security either until at least 2 and half hours before your flight is due to depart as the barriers won’t let you.
Overall a nice hotel and has a lot more pros than cons, would recommend mainly for its location and distance from the station, leaning tower and airport, plus its friendly professional staff.
I later went down to the front desk to ask how long we would need to wait for the air conditioning to be fixed. The lady at the reception could not give a clear answer. At that point, I requested to change rooms, but she refused, saying there were no available rooms and we could only wait until the air conditioning was repaired.
Later, I met other guests on the same floor who also reported the same issue. The hotel’s response to them was simply that they could open the windows. Because the room was extremely hot, I again went downstairs to ask about changing rooms. This time, I was told that the air conditioning problem was “not a big issue,” that no maintenance staff would be available during the weekend, and that the hotel could only provide a fan. Additionally, the staff claimed that since our booking was part of a group special rate, we could not switch rooms.
This was the first time I had ever heard such an unreasonable response in all my travels. The two reception staff members had very poor attitudes and acted as if we were making trouble for no reason. If anyone wants to experience poor service and inadequate facilities, they can try staying at Hotel NH Pisa.
Neglecting the poor attitude of the staff at the front desk (maybe cuz we are Asian), the room is super creepy, very dusty, dirty and outdated. (I am paying for a triple room, prefer 1 king and 1 single)
We were all terrified by the toilet, and is obvious to see the mould at the ceiling, and dust particles on the floor. Then, the bedroom. Aircon outlets were super dusty, that we kept sneezing during our short stay in the room. Door knobs missing at the wardrobe, peeling wallpapers with scratch marks on, outdated paints on the cupboard, not to mention this is the last room of the corridor. I made my choice to leave the hotel for my family's safety.
Feel free to compare my photos with the photos provided by the hotel, or uploaded photos from the customers. I paid £170 for the room, not during a peak season. Feel free to comment. This is definitely NOT what I expected, and irrelevant with any photos, which the front desk said the new rooms are only for the superior room type.
Water pressure for hot water in the shower was terrible. Like a 1 or 2 out of 10. There was also a mechanical noise that sounded every 30 seconds. I told the front desk and they sent someone up right away, which was good. The man heard the sound, never checked the water pressure, and never came back! I told the desk at checkout that they never came back and never fixed anything. They provided smiles and I’m sorries, but offers no compensation for the poor quality of the room. Disappointed overall.
Breakfast was great! Food selection and servers were great.
Location is very close to station, you can put down the luggages right after getting off train. But too close to station having security worries when walking to and from town centre.
