Stayed two nights on Feb 8-10th. Very traditional Japanese hotel, feels more catered to local Japanese who speaks language. Location is ski in/out at base of Grand Hirafu resort, convenient for skiers esp those with own equipments, resort has good storage facility! Minimart & vending machine in hotel makes it very convenient too. Decor is not impressive. Did not try the breakfast. Have to pay onsen fee 150jpy/night +accommodation tax upon checkout. There is a massage center inside the hotel, chargeable. A 10min walking up-down hill to other restaurants on main street.

I used it for 3 consecutive nights. When you leave the ski locker, there is a lift right in front of you, so the location is perfect, but that's the hotel's only advantage. We had three buffets each for dinner and breakfast, but the contents were almost the same. I wanted to say something because it was the same for the 2nd day, but since it was the same for the 3rd day, even though I am a mild-mannered person, I told the hotel staff, but the staff didn't listen at all and said that things had changed quite a bit. I was told back. If you plan to use the facility, it would be best to limit your meals to one meal at a time for a better impression.

A very pleasant stay, our family have the best time in this skii resort, it is like living next to snow. Breakfast with a variety of sashimi and amazing view you never forget. They have 3 beds room, just nice for a family of 3.

Nice 25 m heated pool. There is also dry sauna available ( no steam room as you can find on the internet) and 2 whirlpool hottubs next to the main pool. Sauna is female and male together and so swimwear should be worn in there as well which is not very healthy way how to enjoy sauna... Admission 800 yen + swimming cup is required but available for rent for 50 yen.
