We booked standard rooms at $600 AUD per night .. they forgot to mention that these rooms are basement level with a window looking up to the road .. they also forgot to mention that these rooms are next to the staff room, the laundry, the maintenance room so everyday we had bags and bags of laundry and loads of noise by the staff. The smell was outrageous and terrible!!! For $600 per night … not worth the money at all !!

My family and I had a fantastic stay at The Vale Niseko in January 2026. We spent three nights in a family-friendly two-bedroom suite, which was perfect for our small child (a 3 years old). The room had a very spacious living area with floor to ceiling windows that overlooked the mountain. The hotel team also thoughtfully provided a crib and high chair, making our stay even more comfortable. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite, I loved how we were conveniently located right next to the Family Lift at Hirafu. This lift takes you up to the ACE Gondola, and you can pretty much get anywhere to Annapuri, Niseko Village and Hanazono if the lifts/chairs are all opened. Our living room had floor to ceiling windows that overlooked the slope and my son loved waking up and going to the window- watching people skiing and also how they prepared the lifts for each day. I also loved how spacious the living area was- plenty of space for kids to play, to lay out your ski gear and to relax. One thing definitely worth noting is that there is a private onsen tucked away off the balcony. Most places I’ve seen in Niseko usually only have private onsens in the penthouses or the 4/5 bedrooms, to have one in a 2-bedroom suite is such a treat! Breakfast was great- food was tasty and service was speedy. All the staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful. They saw that we were with our son and took us to a closet behind the front desk and let him choose a sled and a snowball maker to borrow during our stay. We rented a car from the airport and drove up, and they arranged a parking spot for us. They helped us store our bags after the 10AM checkout while we went out for another round on the slopes, and we could use the onsen on the property to shower/get ready before our journey ahead. There’s also ski shop and rental conveniently located in the hotel, right next to the restaurant, in case you want to rent gear or pick up anything you might have forgotten (we picked up a pair of kid’s gloves). We had such a wonderful experience and would definitely return!

Very nice and clean room with a very big bathtub. Shoutout to Jessica for her warm hospitality and assistance! Will definitely come again.

Luxury at a reasonable price
The property is about 50 yards from the ski lift. The room is spacious and well appointed. We had a kitchenette with fridge and microwave as well as flatware. The Onsen is smaller but nice and comfortable / relaxing.

My first trip to Niseko was great, and the three days at The Vale Hotel were quite memorable. Check-in was very smooth, and there was no annoying waiting at all. The room layout and facilities of the suite were in line with expectations, and it was suitable for a long stay for families. The price-performance ratio is quite good among hotels in the same area. However, the blackout effect of the curtains in the hotel room is not very good, and it is easy to be woken up by the light in the morning. I hope the hotel can improve it.
The hotel is in an excellent location, and you can go directly back to the hotel from the ski slope after skiing. In terms of travel, the hotel shuttle is available on call, which is very considerate. Jessica Tan at the front desk is Chinese. She is not only gentle and beautiful, but also very enthusiastic in service. She helped me check out smoothly, and actively helped me fight for various rights when I stayed in the hotel. She also helped me book the return car. Every link was considered meticulously, which made people feel at ease.
Overall, the flaws do not outweigh the merits. Next time I come to Niseko to ski, I will probably choose here again.

Stayed at the lower ground hotel room. Very convenient as it’s on the same floor as the ski locker but somehow there’s a smell of the boots on the whole floor. We have an upstairs room which doesn’t have this problem so I would suggest book the upstairs room

Stayed for 8 nights first week of Feb 25. This is not a ski out hotel. Once you climb two flights of stairs from the ski room you then have to hike to the Ace Family lift. Yes you can ski back but you need to take care descending the stairs to the ski room. Staff were ok but dining room and choice of food was very disappointing, as were some of the staff. Buffet style is the go for breakfast! Unlikely to return. John D

This has been one of the most appalling and infuriating experiences I’ve ever had in booking a hotel. After the sudden news of a life-threatening family health emergency completely derailed our plans, I reached out to Vale/Nisade in hopes of altering or canceling my trip. What I received was nothing short of callous indifference. Instead of any form of empathy or an attempt to find a solution, I was told to sort it out and directed to buy travel insurance—no effort to help, no compassion whatsoever. This level of customer service is not only unacceptable, it's downright disgraceful. They have proven to be a company with zero regard for their customers, and I would advise anyone considering booking with them to think twice. P.s. even though I have made it clear that there is no way we could go for the trip due to the situation, I have still been contacted by them through mobile, text and email to "book my ski related activities as the fill up fast." Even after telling them the situation, they apologize and said they would get back to me. Zero follow up. I genuinely can't emphasize how disappointed I am.
Share your experiences, help others make the right choice!
Think about what you would like to know if you were looking for a review about a place to relax. Please describe in detail what you liked and what you didn't. What would you advise to other guests and to the hotel owner. The more fully you tell about the hotel, the easier it will be for other people to make a choice and they will be very grateful to you!
