Hachinohe, 1-8-9 Shiroshita 🧭 Map
I stayed in a capsule room alone, and the environment was much better than a hostel – very comfortable. The room had a locker with a code, and there was a large public bath downstairs. Although the public bath was closed due to the earthquake, at least I could still take a shower. Overall, it was a great experience.
- nice place to prepared for Michinoku coastal trail
-Great location , Train station and bus stop just a fews steps from hotel.
- within walking distance to town center
- Room is clean , quiet , comfy bed , usual room size for Japanese hotel which is ok for 2 of us
- lady at reception is very kind , she help us find the information we need and even ring to city center for us , Thank you very much
Okay, room okay, facilities are old, bathroom fixture cracked surfaces
This is as older building and not a new LiVEMAX. The public bath, however, looks like it might have been renovated last week. One of the front desk ladies speaks satisfactory English and being so close to a Universe supermarket is very convenient.

Not a brand-new hotel but the bath area has been renovated and feels very clean. The hot spring water comes from Lake Towada.
Front desk staff were extremely polite and spoke good English. The room is the typical compact Japanese hotel size, perfectly fine for a short stay.
The air conditioning worked really well, but the room did have a slight musty smell.
Conveniently located with a drugstore nearby...

The location is great, just a 3-minute walk from the Nambu Line, very convenient. The front desk service was polite and attentive; they stored my luggage beforehand, and then helped bring it to my room during check-in. The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities. There was enough space for one person, although the soundproofing was only so-so; I could hear cleaning noises outside during...
It was very close to the station, on a high floor, and had a great view, so I was very satisfied with my solo stay!
I would like to return here for personal use in the future.
I stayed here the night before taking a university entrance exam.
It was very convenient as it was close to the station.
I was nervous as it was my first time staying alone, but
the front desk staff was very kind.
It was a very convenient location near the station.
The hotel doesn't seem to be new, so the bathroom and toilet had a bit of a drain smell, which bothered me a bit.
The staff were very helpful.
Except for being far from downtown Tokyo, this hotel is very satisfactory in all aspects. What is valuable is that there is a desk for working, a very spacious desk and an ergonomic chair. They also let us check in early, thank you~
Very satisfied, thank you for the hotel service, I will book this hotel again in the future

Matsuyama, Miyanishi 1-3-40 🧭 Map
Everything looked clean and tidy. The room provided several towels and there are amenities on the first floor along with free drinks until 23:00 and beverages. We reserved our room with buffet breakfast included and it was delicious, very japanese style. The room is comfortable but as a nonsmokers it'd be nice if they had some deodorizer available.
Outstanding location, easy walking distance to the JR train station, so your access out for island day trips like Kashima or Gogoshima is easily sorted. Of course it's also close to Matsuyama Castle, the nearby park, and to other public transport.
The hotel is very clean, the staff is very friendly. No native English speakers, but they were good enough at communication that check in and check out...
I needed a stop for 3 days in matsuyama and it work great im pleased 😊 it’s 10 m away from a Fuji grocery store 👌

It is located within a ten-minute walk from the station. The front desk staff is polite and provides self-service hot and cold drinks to guests. The large bathing facilities are on the first floor. There are many breakfast options, but the completion time is at 9 o'clock.
The hotel room is quite large. Although the equipment is a bit old, the transportation is convenient. There is a shopping mall opposite where you can buy fresh food and lunch boxes. The taxi ride to the station does not cost more than 1,000 yen. We stayed here and went to the next one. Watch the sunset at the beach 🌅 We also took a taxi to Dogo Onsen to soak in the hot springs. A well-maintained hotel with all amenities, conveniently located near the monorail.
ReTime located just shy away from Asahibashi station and a perfect walking distance from KOKUSAI DORI shopping street, tourist spots and various supermarkets. The hotel also offers complimentary basic amenities...
Location about 8-10 mins from Yui Monorel station, best staff and they have designated smoking room
I chose this because of the location which is perfect for my trip as I am taking A Line to Yoron the following day. The facility is clean, thanks to those maintaining it. How can I rate the service when it's just check in and there's even a machine? Check in process is straightforward. Trip.com should adjust their survey.
Good place with convenient location, walkable distance (if you like to walk) from the main tourist street, close to the monorail station from which you can quickly get to the airport, convenient store, nice stuff
Cleanliness: Very clean. You can also enjoy the hot springs. Fresh towels, bath towels, and toothbrushes are provided daily. There's a self-service laundry that includes a dryer, but it's not free. The lobby on the first floor is very spacious.

The facilities were very nice. It was interesting to see that about half of the customers were foreigners, some of them tourist some of them in Kawasaki for a few days for work and there are places outside of the pot areas where you can speak freely with these people I speak fluent Japanese so I am friendly and I tend to drink a little bit and the tend to I talk to in the same manner drink and there...
Compared to the one in Ueno station, it can't compete.
I had to spend an extra thousand japanese coins to store my luggage for 5 hours because they were very strict on the Check-in time at 3 PM. Kyoto, 423 Matsuyacho Shimogyo-ku 🧭 Map
I chose to stay at Pocket Hotel near Gojo Subway Station for my cherry blossom viewing trip in Kyoto. It was incredibly clean and hygienic, with separate accommodations and bathing facilities for men and women. I'll definitely stay here again next time. It offers excellent value for money and is very clean. Truly a great choice!
It feels like a boutique hotel but at a hostel price point, offering the perfect balance of privacy and community. The rooms are cleverly designed and spotless, while the communal lounge is a great place to plan your day. Being so close to the subway and Kyoto’s best shrines, it’s the ideal home base for exploring.
The hygiene was good, but you have to make your own futon. The front desk service was also very good. I arrived in Kyoto in the morning feeling very tired, so I paid extra to check in early, and I could even pay with Alipay.
This place is AMAZING for its price point. Everything is sparkling clean and quite new. The location is amazing as it is just next to the metro station. It is also quite close to the bus station and that's important as buses are way more convenient than trains in Kyoto. For food, there are cheap franchised restaurants around and 7-eleven right opposite. In terms of service, the staff there are friendly...
I had a very satisfying trip. It was very convenient to get to several places from here.
This hotel is in a super convenient location, very close to the subway exit. It's also really quiet, and there are plenty of dining options nearby like Yoshinoya, McDonald's, and three Japanese restaurants, all at reasonable prices. Plus, there's a 24-hour supermarket just around the corner. Inside the hotel, the restrooms, showers, and hallways are all very warm and comfortable, thanks to the good...

Comfortable, clean. Shower only on B1 level, with the sauna and onsen. No issue at all. Would love to come back next time I visit Sapporo. High recommended!
The staff were incredibly friendly, and the room was, quite frankly, the most comfortable I have ever stayed in.
Comfortable and immacutalety clean
Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely consider staying here again.

All you need for a overnight stay. Best location with 711 right at the entrance. Parking is just 1 block away. The rest is just the middle of the tourist district. Card key for each floor. Bath house is large and clean and opens until 2 am . Vending machines and microwaves and eating area available. Amenities are provided. Safe and easy to find. Lockers are under the bed.
Fantastic location in Hokkaido near absolutely everything . Onsen is extremely good and rates are an excellent deal for solo travelers . Highly recommended for short stay . Staff is very nice and very pleasant stay. I will return:

Yokohama, 1-21-13 Tsurumi-chuo Tsurumi-ku 🧭 Map
The location is quite convenient, close to both Keikyu Tsurumi and JR Tsurumi stations. The elevator is a bit old, and only one was operational during my stay, but it should be repaired or replaced soon. The in-room facilities are generally outdated, especially the bathroom. Room soundproofing is mediocre; you can clearly hear cleaning noises from outside during the day.
The room matches the pictures online. Even though it seems clean, the rugs and walls could use a deep clean or even be renewed. The room had its own microwave, which is very convenient. Overall it was absolutely ok for one night.
Excellent value for money and very affordable. There weren't many Chinese visitors around, which made for a fantastic experience.
Pretty good overall. I stayed at Livemax for several nights.
The place was incredibly cheap and surprisingly spacious. It uses a traditional key. It's a bit of a walk from the station. I even checked out an hour late and wasn't called or charged. While I'm not advocating for this, I personally found their flexibility and understanding very convenient.
Good value, clean, and convenient for both transportation and dining.

Nice to stay for trips. Convenient and friendly staff
Hotel was not that bad, clean and cheap, the staff were kind, the food around the area is also good
Good stay, small rooms but well amenitied. Free breakfast at the price we paid, good value.
Happy to stay in hotel
Because clean and give breakfast
The hotel environment was excellent. Out of the six hotels I stayed at during my eight-day Hokkaido trip, this Toyoko Inn was by far the best for its price range. The breakfast was also very substantial.
The hotel is not the closest to the JR station, but it is conveniently within walking distance. The room was adequate for one person and offered sufficient space for one piece of luggage. Breakfast is available from 6:30 to 9:00 AM, featuring a selection of both Japanese and Western food. Additionally, there is a convenience store situated nearby.

Osaka, 3-2-8 Minamikyuhojimachi, Chuo-ku 🧭 Map
This capsule hotel had a lot of great quirks, but for me, the most important part of any hotel is the bed. After hours of traveling and walking across the city, I was really disappointed to find the sleeping pad completely worn down. It was so flattened that it barely felt better than the wooden floor underneath. I understand that this is a very affordable place and overall a decent stay, but the poor...
Overall, fantastic experience at the hostel, especially in the common areas where you can cook your meals if you choose to. A refrigerator is also available in the common area as well. I did enjoy the spa-like environment of keeping your shoes in the first floor locker to maintain cleanliness and sanitary standards throughout the entire hostel area. I was provided these very useful slippers that I...
Wonderful stay with atarayo with no complaints. Check-in process was smooth, the staff were friendly and always greet you.
Room was well equipped with ventilation, small table lamp, audio headphones and extension plug. I stayed in the L cabin and was given a generous locker space.
Rules were set in place and communicated to you upon check-in; this creates a mindful and quiet environment for you and...
I originally stayed at another hostel, but since it was fully booked for the next night, I decided to stay here for one night instead.
When I checked in during the morning, all the staff were female — one of them looked like an intern and was super cute, which left a deep impression on me! At night, the staff were all male, and everyone was very friendly and spoke English fluently.
In terms of facilities...
The hotel is great — very clean, with excellent service and a beautiful design. However, be aware that the room size is quite small, so make sure it fits your needs before booking.
The only issue I faced was with the air conditioning — the room stayed a bit warm, and I often woke up sweating.
I don’t blame the staff for this; it seems more like a policy or system setting issue.
I stayed for 4 nights...
It might be suitable in winter, but don't stay there during the rest of the summer. It's unbearably hot, the rooms are incredibly stuffy, the air conditioning doesn't get in, and it's impossible to sleep in the heat. They do provide pajamas. I guess they know it's too hot and are afraid of sweating. Considering the comfort level, the price is expensive. Low cost-performance ratio.

Fukuoka, 3-1-B1F Shimokawabatamachi, Hakata-ku 🧭 Map
I was a bit sleep-deprived from the snoring, but other than that, it was comfortable.
It turns out that each 9 Hours hotel has different rules. This one requires you to return the key card when you leave each day, and then tell the staff your room number when you return in the evening, and she will return the key card. This wasn't required when I stayed at the 9 Hours Shinjuku in Tokyo.
The shower room was clean, and towels and even a bath mat were provided, making it easy to use. I didn't see anyone talking, so it was a quiet and comfortable environment. I'll definitely use it again next time.
There doesn't seem to be enough space to spread out your luggage, so many people spread it out in front of their lockers.
Even though there are empty sleeping spaces next to them, for some reason they have to sit next to each other to leave some space between them. I wish they'd explain to foreigners that they should wipe down the sink after using it.
Just sleeping was perfect. Everything was impeccable. The only downside was that I had to take all my belongings with me to the bathroom in the capsule, fearing theft. After sleeping there for four days, I got the hang of it and only brought the bare minimum, storing the rest in a locker.
Futuristic-looking hotel, nice for just having a place to sleep. The premises are clean and simple, and the bed is comfortable.
Perfectly located, it was great for getting around Fukuoka (on foot or by public transport).

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I particularly appreciated how the bath and luggage storage areas were separate from the capsule area, which made for a much quieter and more restful stay compared to other similar facilities.

This was my first time staying in a capsule hotel, but I had a very comfortable experience. I wasn't bothered much by noise from other guests.
Amazing location, clean and quiet space. Locker area and bathroom area are exceptionally clean as well.
Great stay if you are looking for a convenient location for public transit and clean amenities. Access to plenty of konbinis, cheap eats and shopping streets as well. It's a very nice hotel near the station and downtown. The breakfast is full of rice balls and miso soup. The front desk staff are very friendly and it's a great hotel.
The surrounding hotels were very expensive and I was wondering what to do, but then I found one at the last minute for a reasonable price so I made a reservation.
The interior is typical of a Toyoko Inn, but the building is new and clean.
The rice balls at breakfast were freshly made and very delicious.
breakfast was super nice! onigiri buffet! room was clean and comfy for the two of us. there is youtube on tv so we were entertained. parking was convenient as well at 600yen
It's just an ordinary business express hotel, quite satisfactory and good value for money. Breakfast is free and has a variety of rice balls. When I checked in, the guy at the front desk had a rather cold attitude.
I'm a big fan of Toyoko Inn. They offer everything you could want. The staff are very nice and helpful, and the location is excellent.
It feels like a typical Toyoko Inn.

The location is great, and for just sleeping there, it's more than sufficient! There are plenty of sinks and toilets, so I never had to wait.

Although it's a capsule hotel, it's always clean and comfortable to stay in. While the quality of guests can be a concern in a capsule hotel, most people are considerate, so it's generally fine. Remembering to review this much later, so some details are a bit hazy. What I do recall clearly is that there was a Chinese-speaking receptionist who helped me check in.
