Urban Place Inn Kokura, Kitakyushu1 / 21
7.1
Kitakyushu, 11-20 Konyamachi, Kokurakita-ku 🧭 Map
Even during the busy December season, you can stay here for as little as ¥3,800 per night. Online prepayment is available; however, Kitakyushu City’s accommodation tax must be paid separately in cash at the hotel (¥200). Including the tax, the total came to ¥4,000. The room is extremely small and the facilities are quite old. If you are only looking for a place to sleep, it should be fine. That said...
Location not the best but walkable to most of the tourists places .. good value for a room , free coffee on t$3 ground floor, restaurant are around the hotel.
It's a little far from Kokura Station, but within walking distance, and it's close to the downtown area, so it's convenient. However, while it's convenient, be careful as there are groups of drunk people who shout strange things in the early hours of the morning. The hotel itself is well-equipped.
It's a bit of a walk from Kokura Station, but it's close to the food and drink district so it's a great place for bar hopping.
We stayed here for two with no meals included, but it was close to the city center and was spacious enough for just sleeping. It had all the basic amenities and was good value for money, so I'd like to stay here again if I come to Kokura.
The room is compact and fine for a one night stay. The walls are thin and the doors are thin so you can easily hear the sounds from the hallway and the neighboring rooms.

We booked this hotel for 4 nights through their website and contacted them beforehand to confirm the kids policy. We were told that children under 6 stay for free. However, upon arrival, we were informed that kids under 6 are counted as adults and must pay. After a long flight, this was very tiring and unexpected. The manager explained that this hotel does not allow kids under 6 to stay for free and...
The noise from the neighbor was frequently disturbing my sleep late at night. There was no phone in the room to contact the front desk; I had to go downstairs to call, but no one answered or came to address the issue. The service was terrible.
The hotel is very close to Otsuka Station, with two large supermarkets and a discount store nearby. There are many cafes and restaurants to choose from. It's quiet despite being in a bustling area. The hotel offers a free breakfast every morning from 6:30 to 8:30, with a wide variety of Chinese and Western dishes: miso soup, corn soup, borscht, cream of mushroom soup, natto, beef bowl, tamagoyaki,...
The waiter speaks fluent English. The door is accessed by entering a digital password. No room card is provided. Don't be careless about the password paper. The hotel facilities are very new. The hotel route feels like MUJI FEEL. The breakfast is delicious
Convenient location, all toiletries provided, quiet but bustling, not too far from major tourist attractions, comfortable bed, only one to two-person room is a bit small, for me living alone, it may be just right
Location: Less than 5 minutes walk from the station. There are convenience stores nearby. Supermarket is just across the street. Room: Standard Japanese room. Bathtub is small, better to go to the hot-spring. No room key, only password which is very convenient. You can choose your preferred pillow, interesting! Service: Great service. Breakfast: It’s free! Many options! Also welcome drink and cocktail...

For about 1200¥ you can go to the onsen of this hotel. It's very good !
For onsen only : Realy great onsen for 1200yen with towel. It's a shame that it's only open from 11h to 15h (last entry at 14h) if you are not spending the day at the ryokan.
Beautiful and really nice place. Their hospitality is great.
Loved our experience here, despite smokers in the hallway (of a non-smoking floor). The fancy bar was closed while we were there (assume off-season), but the karaoke and izakaya were open and lovely. Do try the house sake from the izakaya, truly great. The set meals, both dinner and breakfast were also amazing. Onsens were great and staff were very accommodating, despite the language barrier.
Decent place. Was rather expensive for what you got. Traditional style rooms, probably the worst breakfast I've had, and typical overprice meals. Very little English communication, but was still doable. The onsen, or bathing area, was really nice. But I went to better ones in the big city. Not much to do around the hotel either. But that may have been due to poor planning.
Great onsen hot springs with different temperatures, sit down and stand up showers, and outdoor bath. Daytime onsen use avaiIiable for about 1300 yen. Most staff speak a little English.

Facilities: Decent, relatively new. Hygiene: Acceptable. Environment: The room layout was a bit strange; the air conditioning didn't reach the bed area, making it a bit cold. Convenient transportation. Service: Check-in and check-out were very fast.
Great value for money, but the front desk girl was arrogant.
No cleaning everyday. I have to ask reception to refill some amenities. But the environment is clean.
Great hotel with clean room and nice location. Price also acceptable
Let the front desk know ahead of time if you’re coming in late so they know to wait for you. Great location, very quiet.
The hostel is located at Higashi-Jūjō and it is only 2 minutes away by foot if you're are exiting from the metro station via South Gate. The area makes it very accessible to the city centre and the Jūjō area is full of convience stores, super markets located in Jūjō Ginza Shopping Street. I like the hostel service. Although this place is labeled as a "love hotel", it's actually a decent place to stay for solo travelers or couples. The staff was extremely helpful and even had an English speaker present. My only issue was that the room was pretty warm with no way to adjust the air. I had to open the window to allow the cold air in from outside. I'd honestly stay there again.
Deluxe room with queen bed, massage chair, and lotion mat. TL;DR: I'm pleased and will likely return to try other rooms. The less good: - Frequent door slamming from hallway clearly audible, even at night. - Bed was a bit hard for my preference. - Some wear and tear, plus hard-to-remove stains. - Sofa's back/sides were tall and hard. - Controls (lights, etc.) were hard to reach unless in bed. - Wireless...
Very clean, remarkable Japanese style, everything is well thought out, nothing needed is missing. Staff - Mrs. Masimoto - very friendly and helpful. A great experience!
Very hospitable accommodation. No problem with the area, laundry mat very close walk. Room was decorated in a fun and classy style. Lots of amenities including hair dryer, straightener, and curling iron. Jacuzzi tub was amazing to have!
Air conditioner was on full power and it was still hot at night. The mattress was stiff and uncomfortable
Massive room for Tokyo, a little unique in terms of leaving the hotel, but being a “love hotel” I guess you can expect things like that.

Yokohama, 2-3-5 Horaicho, Naka-ku 🧭 Map
Service was good, room was clean.
Close to Kannai subway station, and just two stops away from Yokohama Station. It's very quiet, though the room is a bit small. Otherwise, no complaints.
The room was very comfortable and well-equipped, with excellent soundproofing, making it very quiet. The best part is its location, very close to Guan Nei Station, which makes getting around super convenient. Downstairs, there are many local specialty shops, not just trendy influencer spots, and the food there is really delicious!
About a 5-minute walk from JR Kannai Station and Yokohama Municipal Subway Isezakichojamachi Station. The single room type is a bit cramped. The room is well-lit and clean, and comes with a microwave and refrigerator.
It was okay, but they don't offer luggage storage after check-out.
The room was very clean, but the staff were quite particular/fussy.

The open-air bath is amazing. The sauna next to the open-air bath is also very comfortable. There is a wide variety of food, including shabu-shabu and crab shabu-shabu, but the portions are just right. I would like to come back next year at the end of the year.
The two bath facilities were really great. The men's and women's baths were switched between morning and evening, so I got up early in the morning and enjoyed all four. There were also free drinks (but no alcohol), so it was a very satisfying experience. The yukata were also roomy, so I was able to choose my size based on the length.
I was very satisfied with the food, the presentation, the portion size, and the service. I also enjoyed the bath area, and it was very quiet and relaxing. Everyone was polite, from welcoming me to the front desk and seeing me off, and I had a very pleasant stay.
Nice hotel, a bit pricey but staff are friendly. Nice Hotel, Good Food, Nice Staff. Clean Onsen facilities. Well maintained, but quite dated inside. Only big problem was my room smelled really bad of damp. Abit pricey for what it is, but the staff were nice and the food was good.
The food was delicious and the bathroom in the room was nice.
The inn was lovely and the open-air bath was amazing. However, the website stated that breakfast was buffet style, and although I made a reservation, when I checked with the front desk, I was told that the buffet style had been discontinued since COVID-19. Because of this, my 10-year-old daughter was not able to eat what she wanted, and for breakfast she only had clam miso soup and a salad with ham...

Absolutely perfect! From the staff, to the room, everything was incredible. The room was super clean, had just enough space for two, and the temperature was nice. The location was very nice, helped me visit Fukuyama easily, since it was near a lot of cool places. Thank you so much!
I think the room is average but the service is good that it makes feel safe
Location is near to the train station and restaurants and convenient store.good as a budget hotel .no car parking, you can park to the nearest car parking or coin parking.
Great hotel for short stay, near JR station with about 4mins walk

Good location which near to JR Shin-Osaka East Exit. However, the room is too small for a family of 3. Limited space for luggages and everything. Overall is acceptable.
Average room, convenient transportation, average breakfast.
I stayed at this hotel with my colleague for a business trip to Japan. The hotel is conveniently located right in front of Shin-Osaka Station, just one traffic light away. It's definitely the top choice for business travelers.
Super Convenient, only 3 mins walk to Shin Osaka station. Great for solo trip!
Stay for 2 nights here and quite satisfied with their service and room conditions. We were arrive by 11:30 AM and the staff allowed us to check-in the room though it supposed to be 2 PM. The best thing about it is that the reception is open 24 hours a day. The transportation is surprisingly convenient. The nearest station is not too far away, so it might be good for long-term stays.
Spacious clean room with nice bathroom. Located opposite a tram stop and about 15 minutes from Sakai Station with direct trains to Namba Station and Kansai airport. So great location.
The bed was spacious, but the space between it and the desk was narrow, so I don't think I needed a chair.
It is close to Kansai International Airport, so it is a recommended place for overnight transfers to Osaka.
I always stay at this hotel. There are no major issues, but I think it would be nice if they had a VOD service where you can watch movies, etc. like other hotels.
It was about a 20-minute walk from Sakai Station, but even though it was my first time there, I didn't get lost at all and arrived quite quickly. You pick up the amenities yourself next to the reception desk. The room felt like a regular business hotel, and since I was just staying there, I didn't have any high expectations.

The room wasn't big but it was very clean. Breakfast was a buffet, consisting of simple toast and instant noodles. The hotel's location was excellent, very close to the station and next to Aeon Mall, making shopping and dining very convenient.
Although the room is small, it's fully equipped and offers all the basic services you need. Breakfast, drinks, and coffee are provided free of charge on the first floor. It's about a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station. Note that getting to the JR station from the hotel requires walking through a long underground passage; the hotel faces the Shinkansen platform directly.
The room is old, the location is average, about ten minutes walk from Kyoto Station, the hygiene is not very good, and the hotel does not provide luggage storage service, which is very inconvenient
Simple hotel for the night with a great location near Kyoto Station. Room is standard size but it’s all I needed.
Location wise, its very convenient but it isn’t the best hotel within its price range. They don’t accept luggage storage after checkout which is unusual in business hotels as far as I’ve experienced.

Room type only for Female. Feeling comfortable and safe at the Hotel.
Great value for a low-cost budget hotel. Near Train station & convenience stores. If you're going to watch in Ariake Stadium, this is the place for you. 15-20mins walking distance. 2 stations away from Tokyo Disneyland. Near Haneda Airport through Rinkai Line. But too far.... so far from Narita Airport
Well, this hotel has a greatest social space where you can work or chill. They have activities as well such as takoyaki party or gaming activity. It was reallly good. Bathroom facilities are spacious and clean. The complaint I can make - the ladies in the sleeping room totally dont know how to be silent at night, they were incredibly noisy even through earplugs. I couldnt sleep.
Knew that the place was small so the lugguges have to be placed at their lobby! Had to have everything needed to be taken out & carried to the room instead~ Was actually out for the whole day so it was of much a issue. I actually love that there is a 24 hour noodles shop nearby & the noodles is really good~ Will stay here again for next solo trip if it's near my event venue!

It was a budget hotel with breakfast included. The toilet and bathroom were separate. However, the toilet was small and the toilet paper holder was in a bad position, making it difficult to sit. It was a double room, but it was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had not only a bathtub but also a washing area, which was very nice. This hotel probably saw it’s heydey in 1988 but it’s still comfortable and well located. The beds and bedding are super comfy with buckwheat pillows. The best part about the hotel is their onsen. It’s huge and has the hottest water I’ve yet experienced in Japan. Location is close to the foot bath and lots of izakayas. Highly recommend Obama Style Izakaya around the corner.
A bit odd checking in to a neighbouring hotel, issues with door lock batteries soon overcome, it was a fabulous base for exploring the coast, inland volcanoes, food and especially the recently reviewed Tourist Information which surely was the best I’ve ever encountered.
The hotel is right on the seaside, and the rooms are large, but the facilities are a bit old. There is a little gecko accompanying you at night If you are here specifically for travel, this hotel is not suitable. If you are just making a transition, it is a good choice.
The hotel is just right next to the bus terminal. Though it’s old, everything is clean and tidy. The front desk staff is all friendly and eager to help.
It exceeds expectations for the price. And they assigned me the best room.
The hotel is in a good location. There is easy parking, boiled eggs, free water, and free ice cream in the onsen. The hotel is not very new, but the facilities are complete.

A beautifully designed hotel with a serene atmosphere. I loved the onsen facilities, especially having both private and public baths to choose from. I stayed here for one night for business. It was clean and the staff were very helpful. It's conveniently located near the Sendai Izumi Interchange, but there aren't many stores nearby, and even convenience stores are hard to get to without a car. The lobby has a microwave, so you can eat and drink, but alcohol is not allowed.
This is a hotel. That sounds incredibly basic, because it is. You get a room, but there’s nothing luxurious about it. It’s clean in the ways that matter, and pretty dated in the ways that don’t. You can tell where the low prices are coming from, but I’d call it good cost prioritization.

Location was perfect just a few minutes from the train and bus stations. Convenience stores left and right. Room and bathroom was the right size for one person.
Pretty good, quite new, and very close to Akihabara – just a 200-meter walk, which is super convenient. The room is a bit small; I could barely open my 28-inch suitcase. Still, it's pretty good value for money~
Facilities: The amenities in Japanese business hotel rooms are generally quite similar. This room included a mini-fridge and disposable slippers. There's a washing machine on the first floor. However, there were a bit too few charging outlets, and bottled water was not provided. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was good; the shower curtain was spotless and stain-free, which I appreciated. Environment:...
Great location! Akihabara is to the right when you exit, and Ueno is to the left. It's also super close to the subway, about a 5-minute walk to Ueno-Okachimachi Station, making it convenient for both Narita and Haneda airports. I'd definitely consider staying here again. The only downsides are the small bathtub and it's not very soundproof.
Couldn't open the windows for fresh air, but other than that, it was okay. The room was clean and tidy.
Pros: - Clean hotel - In between akihabara and ueno, so your a 5min walk away from entertainment and good food. - Staff are helpful. I had to change our check out dates urgently and their request approval was really fast. - Most if the different lines needed first travel in tokyo are nearby. Cons: - Size is super small. I had to work abit using my laptop which took up almost all the space.
