Hotel JAL City Fukuoka Tenjin, Fukuoka1 / 19
9.0
Fukuoka, 2-12-5 Daimyo, Chuo-ku 🧭 Map
The location is super convenient.
The room was extremely small for a couple to share. Not enough space for luggage. Only one coffee shop, no other restaurant or lounge. No room service. No bedside lights for reading. Room only have green tea bags, no red or black tea bags. Almost all employees at Front Desk don’t speak English, hard to get information or communication in finding out places to go. All in all, do not recommend!
Pros: The hotel is conveniently located right by a subway station, and the rooms are relatively spacious with carpeting. There's also a grocery store nearby, which I liked, and a 24-hour convenience store about a 10-minute walk away. Shopping is quite convenient. Cons: It's a bit of a walk (one subway stop) to Tenjin, and there aren't many dining options in the immediate vicinity. My room wasn't cleaned...
Amazing location and spacious room! The bathroom is in particular nice comparing to other typical hotel bathroom in Japan.
Nice hotel, close to train and breakfast offers a variety of choices. Good for a short trip.
Overall, I'm quite satisfied. It's a 5-minute walk to the subway station, clean and tidy, with complete facilities, efficient service, and a quiet environment. The only drawback is that the room is a bit small; once you open your suitcase, it's hard to walk around.

Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa, Kanazawa1 / 21

Kanazawa, Kamitsutsumicyo 1-22, 105-0021 Kanadzava, Prefektura Isikava, Yaponiya 🧭 Map
Mitsui Garden always be my first hotel when I explore the new region in Japan. Location is a bit outside the main central city, in walking distance. The hotel servicer can easily communicate with English, understand customer needs, that's super nice. And Mitsui Garden normally have the top floor hot tube area which is super good for me to relax after full day travel around.
The hotel's overall environment is outstanding. Dining by the window offers spectacular views, which was a real treat. The breakfast spread was extensive with fresh ingredients, leaving me very satisfied. The biggest surprise was the hot spring bath area on the top floor; soaking in the springs while enjoying the view outside the window was an incredible experience. Overall, my stay was fantastic!
This was a lovely hotel. The room was spacious to open 2 luggages and was clean. There was a tub in the toilet which was large. The main selling point of this hotel was the amazing breakfast. The buffet spread was abundant and had many options, and the view of the snow out the window as we ate was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. It is also located well near the bus stop that takes you...
This is my second time staying here. The room is nice, but it's a bit far from the subway. We drove, and parking was very expensive – we had to find our own spot. However, it's just 200 meters from Omicho Market, and within walking distance to Kanazawa Castle Park, Kenroku-en, and Higashi Chaya District. The hotel is clean and has a public bath and laundry room.
This garden hotel offers an excellent experience! The location is superb, very close to major attractions. They even provided a free one-day bus pass, which was fantastic! The rooftop hot springs were so relaxing. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance. Breakfast was also very extensive.
The hotel is quite a walk from the station, about 20 minutes, or you can take a bus. It's very close to the seafood market. The hotel has a large public bath. For breakfast, the hotel's own breakfast is good, or you can choose to eat at partner restaurants in the seafood market.

Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo, Tokyo1 / 27
9.0
Tokyo, 1-2-6 Shimbashi, Minato 🧭 Map
A beautiful hotel with amazing classic feel. The interior felt very posh and comfy. Had some tea with my friend and was surprised with their lovely ambience.
Checked in around 2 PM on arrival day, but didn't get my room key until past 4 PM! On check-out day, after lunch, I went to retrieve my luggage after 12 PM, only to find my room key didn't work. The floor attendant spent ages on the phone but couldn't help me open the door. I had to go all the way back down to the front desk and deal with that hassle for quite a while. Such a frustrating experience
Good location and services, highly recommended this hotel!
This is a very good hotel in the center of Tokyo, close to Shinbashi Station and the Shinbashi entertainment area. The hotel has full service and at a reasonable cost. This is my third year in a row staying there and I will be back next year too. The hotel team are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.
Great location, directly connected to Shimbashi Station via an underground passage. The facilities are excellent, and the service quality is superb. The room was also very clean. I really liked it. It feels like it was once a truly top-notch hotel.
This hotel is super conveniently located between Shimbashi and Yurakucho, with tons of food options nearby. Ginza is just a few minutes' walk away, and there's a Lawson and 7-Eleven right across the street. The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, and the service is excellent. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Tokyo.

Beautiful rooms and great food served at the restaurant.
I feel like the location is great but somehow the hotel is quite old-fashion style. There's no very impressive thing within the hotel. The free ramen is okay level but it's not that worthy to waste your appetite here. Anyway, it's okay level but I would say it's very likely to find a better hotel in the same level of cost.
Lovely hotel close to American village and nice beach front and very good breakfast
Very convenient location, there are mall, beach, and restaurant are all nearby.
The environment is great, the room is very spacious, and the balcony is huge. It's really comfortable and beautiful to enjoy the night view there. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.
Great location near to American Village, many restaurants and shops. The swimming pool won't allow people with tattoos 😢

Fukuoka, Fukuoka Chuo-ku Daimyo 2-6-60 🧭 Map
The hotel is quite old but big and it is very near to station. There are many shopping malls and restaurants nearby the hotel.
Everything is wonderful except the air-conditioning keeps warm in winter time. The staff helped us open the window so we can have normal room temperature.
Overall, everything was very good. However, the soundproofing in the room was quite poor, and I could clearly hear guests from nearby rooms.
The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating in changing the smoking rooms to non-smoking ones. They were considerate in helping us manage and prevent the need to change rooms, despite being fully booked.
Best service. The staff was very nice and thoughtful. We asked for room to changes clothes after a morning red-eye flight and we got we asked as a big room with mirror.
The room is really dated. No enough air convention in the room and stuffy. The air-conditioning is in weak mode. I stayed for twice during my trip. The first 2 nights at rooms on 8/F, the WIFI is strong, the water pressure is strong. The lighting is too dim and the lamp at door entrance is out of order and not able to fix before I check out. The carpets and air conditioning make the room hot...

The environment is beautiful and overall very comfortable.
The hotel is quite new, though the rooms are a bit small. There's a convenience store on the basement level, which is super handy, and another one right next to the hotel. A bus stop is also just a short walk away, which is very convenient.
Facilities: Excellent Hygiene: Clean and tidy Environment: Convenient Service: Responsive to all requests
The room was clean and tidy. While it was a bit small, it was perfectly adequate for a solo traveler. The location is excellent, very close to the subway station. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Tokyo.
Great area to stay in, the business district is quiet and not terribly busy. Great to decompress at the end of the day away from the busy hubs. Our room was comfortable with plenty of space for two. The 7/11 in the basement is wildly convenient. Would stay again.

Fukuoka, 4-4-10 Nakasu Hakata-ku 🧭 Map
The front desk employee very professional and friendly. Enjoy the stay with excellent service.  The room is clean just one small point on; the headboard bed was a little dusty so I clean up a bit and it was ok.
Location is nearby restaurants and shopping. Although it is in the interesting redlight district
Hotel location good and Canal City in walking distance, but room cleaning is not provide every day, maybe there is a new rule in Japan hotel, even my second hotel in this trip also provide cleaning services on alternate day
The hotel is very minimalistic but the location is excellent. The public bath is also quite enjoyable. However for families, remember that Nakasu is a night club/karaoke area at night!
The location of the hotel is prefect just few mins walk to the station. The room is not too small when compared with other hotels in Japan. However the toilet is small and they only provide the room cleaning service once in five night stay.
The hotel is not very big, but it has great service.

Fantastic hotel in a very convenient location. It is close to everything, including Sendai Station, shops, and bus stops, with several convenience stores nearby. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Nice hotel. Comfortable environment. Highly recommended.
The hotel is quite new, and there's a convenience store right downstairs, plus another one across the street. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the station. There's a great sushi place directly opposite the hotel, and near the station, you'll find a fantastic Sendai beef tongue restaurant. There's also a good yakitori place across from that.
It was located walking distance from JR Sendai Station, the area is rather quiet since its at the East area side from the station, the staff were really attentive and helpful, room condition definitely meets every expectation well, especially clean and new. Definitely recommend this hotel without doubt. There is one time we lost a piece of socks from the laundry room, they were able to found it and...
This hotel is super close to Sendai Station, and the facilities are great – it feels pretty new! There's a 7-Eleven right downstairs which is really convenient. Plus, there's a large public bath on the top floor, perfect for a relaxing soak. I'd definitely stay here again if I come back to Sendai!
Coming out of Sendai Station's East Exit, which is actually quite lively, you'll find the local supermarket on the 3rd floor of Yodobashi 2. Their tax-free items are even cheaper than Don Quijote's after tax! 😀 You should also try the seafood rice bowl at the restaurant across from the hotel (pictured in photo 2). When I checked in, I received Chateraise Baumkuchen. The hospitality felt truly luxurious, like a proper hotel experience. The spa was spacious, and the open-air bath in the snow was absolutely amazing. The breakfast buffet had a great variety, and the desserts and ice cream were the same delicious Chateraise products you'd buy in their stores – I ate so much! I'd love to visit again in the summer...
The restaurant buffet was delicious.
I had to go to a conference, but I wanted to make some fun memories for my kids, so I stayed here with them, as it has a pool. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Two of the water slides were closed, so it seems they're only open every day on weekends this month. Even without them, we were able to play in the pool until 9:00 PM and then relax in the hot springs.
The buffet had a variety of options and was delicious. I was able to eat a lot of crab, which was great. There was a TV in the bathroom in the room. The pool and hot springs were great. If you're afraid of heights, the elevator might be scary... I'll post a photo, even though it's not very photogenic.
It was so amazing I've already booked another trip and will be going two more times this year!
Service was excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room is clean. Buffet choice is awesome.

A very nice hotel with friendly staff. They kept to our every need and made the stay really amazing. The coffee machine was a bonus, we had fresh coffee of choice every day.
Very small twin rooms here which means you cannot fit two suitcases open in the room. The bathroom is ridiculously small. Charge for luggage if left for a couple of hours after check out.
The hotel elevator was a bit hard to find on my first visit, but the staff were really nice, and both check-in and check-out were smooth. The room size was perfect for just me. The hotel is great, just a bit small. There are plenty of restaurants around, and lots of shopping and drugstores. It's bustling with people. I'll definitely stay here again next time. They also have self-service coffee.
There are two Richmond hotels in Asakusa, and we stayed at Richmond Hotel Premier Asakusa International, so it’s important not to mix them up. The hotel charges a local accommodation tax. The location is excellent, making it super convenient to visit Senso-ji Temple and the surrounding commercial areas. As expected for hotels in central Japanese cities, the rooms are on the smaller side, so families should be prepared for that. If I visit again, I would definitely choose this hotel.
The hotel's location is undoubtedly excellent, very convenient, just a 2-minute walk from Senso-ji Temple. Downstairs, there are restaurants and a Uniqlo, which is very handy. Excellent hotel with direct access to Okayama station. The service, cleanses, location…. everything is top class!
We enjoyed the service and comfort of the hotel. Buffet breakfast was great too. Parking is available at the basement. It’s just next to JR station and many shopping malls.
Kudos to the service crew! Special thanks to Ms Kumomoto of the front desk for making extra efforts to direct us to a nearby clinic, went with us to the supermarket to get the masks and arranging the taxi to bring us there.
Absolutely delighted with my stay at this hotel! First off, I received a complimentary upgrade to a spacious 32 sqm room. I've stayed here many times, and it's consistently comfortable and quiet. The staff are always warm and attentive, making for a very pleasant stay. The large public bath on the rooftop is wonderfully relaxing. My only wish is for more washing machines.
Very clean, with a great view of the river. The room was spotless, and the bathtub was also very clean. A good choice for traveling with family.

Absolutely loved this hotel! All the staff were so enthusiastic and genuinely warm. The room was the largest we had during our entire trip to Japan. The hotel is conveniently located near the Ginza-Itochime station on the yellow line and Tsukiji Market. If you enjoy city running, the back of the hotel is a great place to do it.
The biggest plus of this hotel is its fantastic location. It's incredibly close to Ginza's busiest shopping district and also conveniently near the subway, which is great for dropping off your purchases back at the hotel. Plus, there are complimentary skincare products available in the lobby.
The biggest plus for this hotel is its excellent location and reasonable price. It's close to a subway station, and there are various supermarkets downstairs with plenty of dining options. This time I booked the Ginza branch, which is conveniently located right west of GSIX. It's surrounded by high-end shopping malls, convenience stores, drugstores, and long-standing restaurants – everything you could need! I especially loved the 3rd-floor lobby area. It's a really versatile and useful space with the front desk, scenic waiting area, restrooms, a smoking room, and a bar.
This hotel is in the heart of Ginza and it’s just right next to the Ginza six shopping mall. Walking to the nearest metro station is only 3 mins and easy to transfer to any place in Tokyo. But the size of room is small. It’s difficult for 2 people with 2 large suitcases to stay in one room.
This hotel is very well located in the heart of Ginza and provides all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. We were given pajamas, slippers, and other amenities, which was a nice touch. Although the room is small, as is common with most hotels in Tokyo, it is very well located, very clean, and I believe it offers everything needed to enjoy a pleasant stay.
The hotel is located at the heart of Ginza that you can directly get down to the central shopping street. Good for you if you need to shop and put down the stuff you bought. The room is rather old and small, but acceptable and clean. Staff is fair.
Great location, just a short walk from Ginza Station A3 exit (straight, then turn left). There's a Chinese restaurant right outside the hotel. They no longer provide bottled water in the rooms, but everything else was fine.

It seems a bit difficult to access without a rental car, and as an older hotel, it doesn't have many special facilities. It's a good hotel to stay at the night before an international flight.

Even though I knew from my research that it was an older resort hotel, I still didn't expect there to be so many locals here 🤣. The hot tub on the 15th floor was packed like sardines, and while it was open-air, the view was just average, not as good as what you'd find in Izu.
