Fukuoka, 3-2 Shimokawabata-machi Hakata-ku 🧭 Map
we have an excellent stay here from May 3 to 9, 2026 with my family. The hotel location was great and bfast was excellent. Everythibg is worth it. For sure will be back again here. thank you so much hotel okara fukuokq
Rooms and location are great; swimming pool not being available to children is a bit of a minus. Very negative experience with the staff at the reception: Booked a room for 2 adults + 1 child. Our booking confirmation very explicitly said "breakfast for 3 persons included" on every single day of the stay; only during the first breakfast we noticed that we had only been given breakfast coupons for two...
Really nice staff and very good place to visit. The hotel is connected to the Nakasu-Kawabata which is really convenient to travel in the city to Tenjin or Hakata.
Hotel is very clean and staffs from front desk were very friendly Its just beside the mall amd no worries on finding food! The parking was shared with a mall and charged at reasonable price of 2000yen daily Happy to stay here!
As far as accommodation goes in Fukuoka, this is one of our favourites. Excellent location, great hospitality from staff and the best part is how spacious the room was! Now, this hotel has been around for a while and had been renovated but despite evreything, we just loved the overall package. Even the shower was so powerful you probably thought you were bathing at Nachi Waterfalls! 😁
The room is spacious. Service is excellent, all staff are super nice and friendly and professional. The breakfast is the best I’ve ever had in Japan. The room looks a little outdated - especially the bathroom, but overall my stay was comfortable and I had a great time in Fukuoka

Service attitude of staff is not good especially bell boy
The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and generous. The onsen was a new experience! Sheraton scrubbed up to what we expected. 5 stars!
The hotel is located in a quiet and safe area. The breakfast selection is good and I liked the good coffee and it was a bonus as they provided paper cup so you can consume your coffee in the comfort of your room. Will recommend friends to stay in this nice and clean hotel.
Only problem is breakfast.  In typical Japanese fashion, they make you wiatbevwn though there are plenty of seats.   If it's manpower problem, divert resources in the morning.  Wait can sometimes be an hour.  Ridiculous
Good location. Global standard customer service.
A bit out of the way to main attractions as it’s on Rokko island but the direct bus to the airport made it worthwhile. The breakfast was ok but seems to be always running out of food due to the high number of guests. In room service was decent but expensive. Onsite onsen was good but crowded!

Comfortable and nicely hospitable staffs, apart from the location which is on the Bandai bridge on the old town side, around 2km from the train station, all other things are perfect.
Close to the bridge, comfortable room. Daily housekeeping service.
Dedicated concierge to help us with restaurant bookings. Room is old but well maintained. Overall satisfied.
Even though the hotel is a bit old, the service is absolutely fantastic. Every staff member is incredibly warm and attentive, and the breakfast is superb. It offers amazing value for money. I genuinely recommend it.
Nice old classic hotel by the river. They use central heating/cooling here so opening a window at night is the only option when the temperature isnt up to your preferred one, which is a painful experience cause you can hear traffic and ambulance all night long. The walls are a little too thin for such classic hotel. The breakfast were good , especially their buffet line. Will visit 1-2 nights max...
I misplaced my gloves some where at a town I was visiting. The hotel staff were very helpful to help me call these places that I visited to check if they can find my gloves. Despite the language barrier, they were very proactive in their assistance and help. I cannot help but feel the famous Japanese hospitality from their services. They have an in house restaurant that served local dishes that...

Super convenient, very close to Kyoto Station. The front desk offers complimentary mineral water and Sekkisei skincare products – just help yourself!
The hotel is conveniently located directly across from JR Kyoto Station, making it super easy to find. The room size was decent, especially for the king-size bed I booked, which I really liked. It's incredibly convenient for getting around, particularly for JR lines – no need to rush at all. The absolute highlight was the breakfast! There was such a wide variety, including sushi 🍣, various alcoholic...
The hotel's location is great, right near Kyoto Station, but following Google Maps can be a bit confusing as you have to go through B2. The room was quite spacious and very clean. The breakfast, in particular, was fantastic with a wide variety of choices and excellent value for money. Highly recommended!
It's hard to put into words. The hotel is very close to Kyoto Station, which is convenient for getting around. However, the facilities are quite old. The staff's attitude was pretty standard, neither warm nor cold. But the Trip.com concierge and complaints department were excellent, really great!
The hotel room was spacious for Japan, and the location was excellent with convenient transportation. Our tour bus stopped right opposite the hotel entrance, and the bus to Daigo-ji Temple was also by the side entrance. There was even an airport bus stop right in front of the hotel, which was incredibly convenient.
Right next to the busstop where the airport limousine bus is. Free amenities and water daily.

The pillows and mattresses are a bit soft, otherwise all good.
Everything was great except for the lack of a spa. **Scenery and Ambiance**: Checking into a hotel on a snowy day, the biggest charm is undoubtedly the stunning snow-covered landscape. Whether it's watching snowflakes drift down outside the window or enjoying the contrast of the warm indoors against the icy outdoors, it creates a poetic and tranquil atmosphere. **Thoughtful Service**: Many hotels...
The location is really convenient, with a convenience store right across from the hotel, which makes shopping easy. Even though the decor is a bit old-fashioned, the room was spacious, and so was the bathroom – both very clean. The service was excellent, and the hotel breakfast was a highlight, with a wide variety of tasty options. Great value for money, I definitely recommend it.
Second stay here. The room was spacious and the location was convenient. I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Sapporo.
The location may not be close to train station but the buses outside hotels bring us to Sapporo station easily. Walking distance to Nijo market and Odori but not so easy in the winter snow. Lawson opposite is an added convenience. Rooms may be aged but I love the spaciousness of the connected rooms and the access to the Level 10 lounge (with alcohol from 4 to 7pm for those interested). Excellent location just near to the Akihabara train station. Staff are professional and friendly. Faculties are in good working condition. All in all a delightful stay.
Great location right next to Akihabara train station. Front desk staff is helpful  Room is small (hard to open suitcase on floor) while It’s clean and neat with great shower. Value for money and good for solo traveller.
Convenient transportation near the train station. Good receptionist good location.
Lovely room, even saw snow from the room. Amenities were excellent. Room service & location fantastic.
The room has a massage chair and a table, and the overall natural light and view are excellent. I'll definitely stay here again on my next business trip. The room was clean, tidy, and odor-free, and breakfast was decent.
remm Akihabara is in an excellent location, right next to major rail stations, Yodobashi, shopping malls, and plenty of restaurants. Kagoshima, 1-8-10 Yojirou 🧭 Map
Super Iconic hotel and very comfortable to stay in! We were here for two nights and would totally recommend this to whoever visiting Kagoshima. Public seperate bath at the top floor (13F), free ice cubes, parking is 1000JPY per night, there are washing machine and drying services, get the rooms that face sakurajima! A huge shopping mall just right across the hotel!
Great location, Sakurajima Volcano is right outside the window.
Located next to a big mall where you can find Uniqlo, Diaso and many others. The hotel is very big and many guests came to attend conference and then stayed. The onsen is located at the roof and you can view Volcano Sakurajima and sun rise there.
Perfect for a relaxing Kagoshima getaway. The shuttle service is super convenient for exploring the city, and combined with a one-day transport pass, a two-night stay is just right. The hotel's on-site hot springs are also very comfortable, and you can even catch the sunrise in the morning!
Nice view for sakurajima Many restaurant nearby Nice for self drive traveller
It’s an aged hotel which you can tell from the usage marks of many facilities. However, I still want to give a comparably high score to this place since you can tell the staff here are working hard to manage this place and make sure the satisfaction of the hotel. The front desk staff were excellent—especially one male staff member who had a warm smile and provided very friendly service. It left a great impression on me, and I would definitely stay here again.
The public bath is good and comfortable. If only they had coin changing machine on 2nd floor instead of going to reception.
Genuinely very happy with the service and room we got for the price we paid very good value for money. Had a great stay at the hotel, they provided a lot of different amenities and it’s located next to a station hence getting around, especially to the airport, was very convenient. The toilet was also very spacious. Overall a pleasant stay and would love to be back again.
Great location just steps away from the main Kokusaidori street. Room cleaned every 3 days with possibility to change towels, but not empty the trash. Breakfast good, but a bit crowded. Overall would definitely recommend.
We booked a 27-square-meter twin room, and it was very comfortable for a family of three. There was still plenty of space to move around even after opening our large suitcases. Since we have a one-year-old baby, the hotel thoughtfully pushed the twin beds together and against the wall beforehand, which was very considerate. The hand soap and shampoo provided by the hotel were of good quality and pleasant...
Extremely convenient location! The monorail's Asahibashi Station has direct access to the hotel lobby on the second floor. Plus, Kokusai Street and the bus stop for route 120 are right downstairs.
This hotel is super close to Makishi Station, just a quick walk over the skybridge. It's also only a 5-10 minute walk to Kokusai Dori, making it really convenient for getting around. However, there seem to be more and more Indian cleaning staff now, and the cleaning isn't as thorough as it used to be. Plus, they only provided slippers once.
Beyond its convenient location, there's not much to write home about. It served its purpose as a one-night stopover. It's a run-of-the-mill business hotel. Downstairs, you can grab toiletries and specialty teas, which is a nice touch. The date setting on the hotel elevator was quite amusing.

I chose this hotel specifically for cherry blossom viewing, and overall it was excellent value for money. The location is superb, the views are fantastic, it's convenient for getting around, and the quality is consistently good, making it a top choice for seeing cherry blossoms in Tokyo. If you can, opt for a high floor, preferably on the Tokyo Tower side, and during cherry blossom season, you'll likely...
I am a fan of mitsui garden hotels in tokyo and the roppongi chain is the third mitsui’s for me following ginza and kyobashi chains. The staffs are super friendly & helpful and the location of mitsui roppongi hotel is amazing. You can walk to azabudai hills, midtown, mori tower and even tokyo tower. I would definitely stay again next time.
Good location, unfortunately did not get the room with Tokyo tower view. Guest service and facilities are great.
Great room with high floor and partial tokyo tower view as requested. Breakfast was alacarte and it was very nice. Had a very good stay here 👍🏻
This is a mid-sized hotel in the city center with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The lobby has a great design, but the room itself is tiny; aside from the two beds, there's barely any space to open luggage (we had to put ours in the hallway by the entrance). It's suitable if you're out and about all day and just need a place to sleep at night. Breakfast is served on the top floor, à...
Every Mitsui Garden Hotel I've stayed at has its own unique charm. This was my first time at the Roppongi location, and the front desk even gave my daughter a cute teddy bear, which was such a warm gesture. A reputable hotel but too old amenities, run-down design and aircon isn't working well with consistent noises.
Although the hotel is a bit older, the service and hygiene standards still meet IHG's expectations. The location is excellent, less than a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station (exit 22), and it's all flat ground, so no issues with luggage. Hakata Station has Hankyu Department Store, and downstairs there are many restaurants, cafes, and bakeries.
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station. The decor is over ten years old, but the service is excellent. The complimentary bottled water provided by the hotel is also good, and the breakfast selection is decent.
The room is tidy, clean and spacious enough to have 2 luggage opened wide. The location is pretty good. There are convenient stores nearby and most importantly, it’s very close to the jr station and the bus terminal. If you will go to places far away from hakata that requires travelling such as itoshima and yufuin, this hotel is definitely a good option.
The location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station, making it super convenient for getting around. The surrounding area is great with plenty of amenities for dining and shopping. The hotel itself is very clean and tidy. The room, though small, had everything I needed. I didn't hear any noise during my stay.
This stay was absolutely perfect! The hotel ambiance is elegant and quiet, with no noise disturbances whatsoever. The room facilities are complete and very well-maintained, and the bathroom amenities are high quality. The staff are friendly and the housekeeping is prompt. It's very close to the attractions, making getting around super convenient. Definitely worth coming back!

The service at the reception on the 18th floor and in the rooms was excellent, and the swimming pool and gym staff were also great. Very close to the subway station, which made getting around super convenient. The staff were all very patient, and there was no strange smell in the room. There's a snack street right downstairs and a supermarket nearby, so it was really convenient and I'm very satisfied.
Very satisfied. It's clean, and the location is convenient for getting around.
Location is convenient especially to USJ and the airport. Nice walk underground to Osaka and Umeda stations. Lots of food options nearby (unagi and ramen along 5 Chome-12) and a supermarket just a minute away. Room is a little small but very affordable. It would be good to have the option of trash disposal without room cleaning.
The room was very clean. Although it wasn't huge, I could still lay my 24-inch suitcase flat on the floor. The bathroom was also quite clean with no strange odors. Being on the ninth floor, the soundproofing was decent. There's a mini-fridge, perfect for storing puddings.
