Dai-Ichi Hotel Tokyo in Tokyo

After more than six hours on the road from snowy Ginzan Onsen, arriving back in Tokyo and checking into Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo felt like returning to comfort and familiarity. We loved this hotel so much on our previous trip that we booked the exact same spacious corner suite again, and it did not disappoint.

The room was generous in size, well laid out, and extremely comfortable, which made a huge difference after a long drive. Having enough space for the whole family to unwind together was a real luxury, especially towards the end of a long journey. The beds were excellent, the room was quiet despite being in central Tokyo, and everything felt well maintained and thoughtfully prepared.

The location is another major strength. Being close to Shimbashi Station makes it easy to get around Tokyo, whether by JR lines or the subway. There are also plenty of dining options and convenience stores nearby, which adds to the overall ease of staying here.

Service throughout the stay was warm, professional, and efficient. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the staff were consistently helpful. Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo is a reliable and comfortable choice, especially for families who value space, convenience, and a calm place to rest. We would happily stay here again on future trips.

A beautiful hotel with amazing classic feel. The interior felt very posh and comfy. Had some tea with my friend and was surprised with their lovely ambience.

Checked in around 2 PM on arrival day, but didn't get my room key until past 4 PM! On check-out day, after lunch, I went to retrieve my luggage after 12 PM, only to find my room key didn't work. The floor attendant spent ages on the phone but couldn't help me open the door. I had to go all the way back down to the front desk and deal with that hassle for quite a while. Such a frustrating experience!

This is a very good hotel in the center of Tokyo, close to Shinbashi Station and the Shinbashi entertainment area. The hotel has full service and at a reasonable cost. This is my third year in a row staying there and I will be back next year too. The hotel team are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, directly connected to Shimbashi Station via an underground passage. The facilities are excellent, and the service quality is superb. The room was also very clean. I really liked it. It feels like it was once a truly top-notch hotel.

This hotel is super conveniently located between Shimbashi and Yurakucho, with tons of food options nearby. Ginza is just a few minutes' walk away, and there's a Lawson and 7-Eleven right across the street. The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, and the service is excellent. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Tokyo.

The hotel is quiet and conveniently located. The facilities are new and very clean. It's an established hotel that consistently delivers; every stay is comfortable. The hotel staff are also very attentive and polite. I highly recommend it; it's always my first choice.

If 100 is a perfect score, this hotel has its pros and cons. The convenient location and room size both deserve a 90. The shower water pressure and the service from most of the staff are at least an 80. However, you can clearly hear the subway from the room, and even with the small window handle adjusted up or down, the noise persists. During my two-night stay, one night I couldn't fall asleep until the subway stopped running in the middle of the night. The next morning, I was woken up by the noise around 7 AM. I groggily recorded a video, but my phone's microphone near the bed didn't capture it well. The actual sound is about one to two times louder than what's in the video. The room also didn't provide earplugs, which is quite unbearable – I'm deducting 70 points for this. There were noticeable marks on the room walls and the bathroom floor, so I'm taking off another 50 points. The carpet is old and somewhat damaged, and the room looks dingy. For a room that costs over 1500 per night, this warrants another 60-point deduction. So, this is a hotel with overly distinct pros and cons.

I simply couldn't believe the exceptional service I received here. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, paying meticulous attention to every detail. During check-in, I forgot something, and while one staff member was showing me around the room, another immediately brought it to my belongings (by about a minute). As I left, three staff members surrounded me, bowing and bidding me farewell, ready to offer any assistance I might need. There were so many other wonderful experiences as well. This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at in Japan. I've already recommended Dai-ichi hotel to my friends, and I will definitely stay here again if circumstances allow. What a wonderful experience!
