Century Royal Hotel Sapporo in Sapporo

Wow! Absolutely loved the accessibility, and how easy it was to get from there to the malls, the station, or even avoid a few of the road crossings if you're walking further away than the underground stretches. Breakfast is fantastic but make sure you show up a little early if you plan on having the buffet - I waited about 10 mins and the spread and quality was worth it. Didn't try the set menu on 19F so can't comment there. 100% would recommend.

The place is kind the out dated, we got a king size room but i doesn’t feel king size its too small. The exhaust fan is broken , the room is kind the dark its hard to look for your things.

Thing i love is the lobby its really nice is there is underground going to the mall and train station since its cold outside that alternate route is great. Also there is a convenient store on the first floor great access to buy food.

The price is just ok for the stay but not the best

The hotel is a bit old, but the staff on 2/F is excellent. It must be a top notch hotel when it opened 50 years ago with the cool revolving restaurant at the top.

A big positive surprise for us is the Japanese breakfast. We had the choices of set meal, sashimi rice, and beef rice, which we chose the set meal which was great. Superior value for a room at this price point. The Japanese restaurant also looks like a great place for dinner.

The location, (so close to the train) and all the shopping can't be beat. Rooms are very nice, with comfortable beds and good amenities. My only complaint is how hot our room is. This is our third night here (mid March) and the third night I'm laying in bed at 3am sweating due to not being able to turn the air conditioning any lower. As much as I like the location (and friendliness of the staff), I am just miserable every night due to the temperature. I really wish the temperature control allowed for it to be cooler in the room. There's one small vent and barely any air coming out of it. We are in room 1439, and we even kept the blinds closed during the day to keep the sunlight out. We also opened our door to let some cooler air from the hallway in. We just don't know how to make it any cooler in here. Other than that, our stay here has been lovely, and the buffet restaurant is really wonderful.

Building is a bit old, as you can see rome wear and tear here and there. Despite that, very clean and orderly.

Amenities (soap, shampoo, razor, skin care) are good. Bed, pillows and blanket very clean and comfortable.

Breakfast is excellent: fresh pancakes cooked by a chef, fresh honey straight off the honeycomb!!!, vast array of western and Japanese food. Lacks nothing imo.

Customer service is very good. Gentleman at the entrance to the breakfast buffet was exceptional. Elite.

Location is ideal if you need access to long and short distance buses - literally right across the street from Sapporo station.

Would definitely stay again.

Great hotel just next to Sapporo Station. It has underground link to the station. Offered choice of traditional breakfast or buffet breakfast. Both are good.

Stayed twice at this hotel due to its vicinity -- practically attached to Sapporo Station. It's a modern hotel that has your basic amenities. They have Western and Japanese breakfast but I would suggest the Family Mart and Lawson across the street.

Staff are accommodating and speak English.

Because you are practically at Sapporo station, it is easy to get around the city using bus and train. Day trip are available on the 2F.

Beside Sapporo station, you can visit the nearby shopping center that has a Ramen Alley at the top floor. If you do not have time to visit the original Ramen Alley, this is a close second.
