I have to give a big shout-out to the hotel's service! The staff were so friendly and always willing to help. The room was spotless and well-equipped. The location was convenient, yet quiet, allowing for a great night's sleep. It was a very satisfying stay!

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the JR station, and there are many convenient shopping and dining options nearby. The hotel is clean and tidy, the room size is just right, the bedding is comfortable, and the breakfast is rich and delicious. Highly recommended.

Hotel service: Excellent! We arrived before check-in time, but the lobby staff were incredibly friendly and politely stored our luggage. When we returned, our bags were already in the room. Thumbs up! 👍

This hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Sapporo Station. Hokkaido's Former Government Building is right across the street, and Hokkaido University is a short walk behind the hotel.
The front desk service was excellent; they thoughtfully explained everything about the hotel. The hotel breakfast can also be exchanged for a fish market breakfast – just confirm with the front desk. They were very helpful, asking about our preferred departure time and confirming our return time with the driver. You can also ask the front desk for a set of four hotel facial creams.
The hotel's hot spring requires key card access, and the key cards for men and women are different colors.
The hotel breakfast was good.

The room was a bit small, but there was still space to open a suitcase. There's a public bath and a coin-operated laundry facility with dryers. The location is quite convenient, not far from the JR station's south exit, and close to the Hokkaido Government Office. I even caught a police band performance while walking by. If you don't mind walking, both Odori Park and Tanukikoji Shopping Street are within reach. One gentleman at the front desk was incredibly warm and polite, always greeting us when we came and went, and very friendly at checkout, even giving us a thank you card and a lavender origami crane. The cleaning staff were also very polite, sometimes asking us what time would be best to clean when we were heading out. The young lady at the front desk during check-in, however, was a bit cold, which is quite unusual for Japan.

On my last night, due to a combined booking, only a twin room was available. The consequence of one person staying in a room with two large beds was that there was no space for a desk, making it quite cramped. However, the hotel's breakfast was really delicious. I added breakfast on my last night, and the Japanese-style breakfast was excellent. White rice with miso soup – absolutely fantastic!

Around 5 mins walk from JR Sapporo station. Spacious room and nice staff.
Everything looks very clean.
Mitsui Garden and Mitsui Garden West hotel are located right next to each other. Be careful not to check in at wrong hotel.

After breakfast, we took a stroll around Hokkaido University, which was perfect timing before the department stores opened. Then, we walked over to the government offices and surprisingly spotted a Montbell store! Well, I guess we'll just have to buy a couple of outfits for tomorrow.

The hotel's location is excellent. It's a five-minute walk to the Daimaru department store shopping area and Sapporo JR Station. There are also many bus routes nearby, including an airport shuttle that goes directly to New Chitose Airport.
The service was generally good, but the room was quite small and compact.
Hokkaido University is also within walking distance of the hotel. It's a pity I didn't get to visit this time due to a tight schedule.
