The hotel was well-equipped with various amenities, making for a comfortable stay. While the extra beds provided for additional guests made things a bit cramped, I was extremely satisfied with the value for the money

While I didn't use the dining or other services this time, so I can't comment on them in detail, the essential facilities were more than adequate. For a simple stay, it's very comfortable

Located next to Hokkaido University in a safe residential area, making it ideal for those visiting the university. Close to the subway, only a 12-minute ride to the city center

The room is clean and full of necessary facilities.

It felt like the bedsheets weren't changed for five days, making the hygiene feel poor during a five-day stay. During winter, the sidewalks nearby aren't completely de-iced, making them very slippery and prone to falls

Not the greatest for the location. The use of washing machine and dryer inside the room is a plus together with a much bigger room heater, but the bed is not to our liking. So sleeps were not that comfortable

Service is considered good based on my experience, but if I would be very strict with hotel requirements, I would come hard on the cleaning housekeeping requirement, because I was being told by a slightly older male receptionist that housekeeping can only be done every 3 days once (to me it feels like I just paid for a service apartment hostel) perhaps maybe they have shortage of cleaning staff, busy...

The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was really good too! It was a short walk from both the snow festival and Susukino, so I would say the location was nice as well!

Incredible Sapporo hotel to stay with families and couple. My rooms were spacious for 4 people, their hospitality and kind of are top tier

Hotel near nakajima koen subway station. Lawson convenient store just around the corner. Overall stay ok. However checking time is 4pm.

Close to nakajjma koen subway, 3 stops away from sapporo station subway. From airport, if by bus, there is airport bus that requires additional 13 minutes walk from bus stop to hotel

I just wanted a place to rest after my long international plane ride and this was a much better option than an internet cafe

Sapporo-Hokkaido, a nice city with so much to offer! Everything was more than adequate and Smile Hotel can truly put a Smile on your face! One thing I do like to have is a bathtub, which the room didn't have but the shower was upgraded, the room large compared to some Western style rooms

The hotel's location is great, very close to the city center, about a 15-minute walk. The front desk service was excellent and very attentive, always willing to help

Connecting room is perfect for the family of four. You also get 2 baths. Our rooms ere cleaned everyday. Brekfast is also good. Way going to hotel, is a challenge due to icy paths, please wear your spikes.

There is a very nice onsen within walking distance from the hotel. You're a short walking distance to subway so the location is ok. The breakfast buffet is very good and staff were welcoming and helpful

The hotel staff is very nice in helping us checking in and gave us 4 tokens for the vending machine (we’re a group of 5). The onsen is clean and safe, separate floor for men and women onsen

The hotel is a bit of a distance from the bustling main streets, but it's an acceptable walk if you don't have luggage. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I'm very satisfied

Check in and check out process was smooth, staff polite, friendly, no issues at all! For airport access - if you have bags - it MIGHT be easier to take the orange Tozai line to/from the station right next to the hotel, Nishi Juitchome, and change at Oyachi to the airport bus (cash only)

We preferred this with bags on arrival (evening time, no same day bag sending was possible). Use Airporter for same day bag delivery to airport, they work with APA and must have bags ready in lobby at 9a

Very newly opened property near Odori Park. Everything about the hotel and my room feels very fresh and clean. If you have stayed in other APA hotels, then this one shouldn't be much different

It was around a 10-15 minute walk to Susukino and the main shopping street, hence the lower price, but that’s totally ok. About a 20 minute walk via underground passage to Sapporo Station

Stayed here for four nights during the Snow Festival and it was at least 100$ cheaper per night than other area hotels. Brand new, spotless, and exactly what you know and expect from APA

Kind and friendly staff all around. Complimentary breakfast was provided by the Chinese restaurant on the ground floor, and it was decent

The guest room facilities seemed old, but the walls were not torn and it was well cleaned. There is no power outlet next to the pillow, so it is best to bring an extension cord if possible

There is a free breakfast, and the bread was delicious. There is a machine that dispenses juice and soup, and it is self-service. Check-in and check-out are done by machine

Great location, simple breakfast and very efficient checkin process.

The room is quite big, but the facilities are old. It is close to the underground street exit and Odori subway station.

It's not far from Sapporo Station. There's a Family Mart nearby. Check in and get ice cream.

Warm and comfortable, good location, breakfast is very Hokkaido, I like it, this is my second stay, very good

However, despite the large public bath, there were no slippers provided (room slippers were available), and the old shampoo bottles in the room's bathroom were hardened and dripping (even if you didn't use the bathroom, it was noticeable)

I stayed here for a concert at Sapporo Dome. The location was perfect, just off the underground passage. The walls were thin, so noise from the neighboring rooms echoed, but it was acceptable for the price

We rented a four-person room. It was very spacious and the futon was big and comfortable. The bathroom in the room was also spacious and there was a large communal bath, which was great.

The location, facilities, and service were all great. Having a convenience store right on the first floor and being close to both Sapporo Station and Odori Station was a huge plus

When I entered the room, there was a fair amount of hair on the floor near the entrance, but other than that, it was clean! It's not particularly spacious, but considering the price, it's a perfectly good room!

Clean your room every 3 days? Staff very helpful. There is a bbq beef buffet, just next door. Going to airport is a different stop, make sure u check with reception first. Go here for seafood, supper good

An older hotel but well maintained. You get an actual key for you room, not a card key. You can leave it at the front desk when you leave the hotel so you don’t need to walk around with it

The hotel is very close to Odori Subway Station, and Sapporo Station is also within walking distance. The room was larger than I expected, and the breakfast was excellent, even featuring sweet shrimp tempura

We got big room with city view. Easy for muslim to pray with the room size. location is superb just near to the city, can access by walking distance

Bus stop just near the hotel, very easy if u want to take bus from hotel to chitose airport

I thought the hotel was close to Nishi 11-chome subway station, but it was quite a walk. There aren't many buses to Sapporo Station, but there is a bus stop opposite the hotel, so it's best to take the bus

I rented a car. The staff was very friendly and even came out to explain the parking lot to me. There are quite a few restaurants nearby, and the accessibility is convenient.

The service was very polite and the single room was clean and spacious! I would like to stay here again when I go to Hokkaido!

Such a wonderful space, I was completely satisfied from start to finish! The lounge was incredibly cozy, and I really enjoyed being able to sip wine and snack on marshmallows there. Absolutely loved it!

This was a nice cosy place that was fairly close to the subway~ Amenities were good (we had some free nice wine & beer during their daily alcohol hour) & we had enough room space to open 2 luggages!

For the price, getting breakfast included is an amazing deal! They don't clean the room every day, but they do empty the trash and change towels (just leave them by the door). I actually prefer this kind of service

This place is near Kita-Juni-Jo Station. It's a bit of a walk from Hakodate Station, but if the weather's bad, you can just take the subway. The staff are very polite and friendly

It's so small that it's hard to even open a carry-on suitcase, and the bathroom is tiny too. But for this price, it's totally acceptable! 🥰 Satisfied

Fantastic location. Only 5m walks from nearest subway station and a few minutes walks away from odori park. Although we hope that they can improve their amenities since we need to take some soaps at the lobby.

The air conditioning worked great, but the faucet in the room's sink needed a lot of force to turn off completely. The hotel was a bit hard to find; with all the snow, I couldn't see the sign

The room looks exactly like the pictures, maybe a tiny bit smaller. The parking lot isn't great; it's right on the street and you definitely need a reservation

The hotel is a little bit of a walk from the centre. But it's conveniently located with many food places around. Cheap and cheerful would be the term. I'd stay there again. 

I visited this hotel in Christmas holiday and everything was perfect! The hotel location is walkable distance to many good restaurants, Nikka crossing, Aeon and bus or train station💖 Will recommend this hotel if you visit the city area of Sapporo ☃️

❤️ The hotel was strategically locaged near subway stations and the Odori Park Sapporo which is the best place here during winter for Sapporo's Snow Festival. It is also near the famous Bankei Ski Resort

Otherwise, there's another one nearby that's a little pricier. There's also a Lawson convenience store about a 7-8 minute walk away. The only downside is that there are no smoking rooms

Within walking distance to convenient store and many eating places Room reasonably size, we have tatami style, no complains, we slept well There is a nice seafood restaurant just besides the hotel, where we feasted on king crab, love it ! Within walking distance to the shopping street too, and Sapporo clock tower

Great Stay in Sapporo! The location of this ryokan is fantastic, with the former Prefectural Government building within walking distance, as well as the train station nearby.

It’s breakfast and dinner must be reserved one day before. The room is so big that my husband can’t influence our sleep because he sleeps on the other side. The toilet is relatively small and has a little off-flavors

The building is old, but the rooms are cozy and the air conditioning works well. It's perfect for summer!

I have stayed there for 6 days. Every morning, we were greeted by the energetic and friendly staff who are preparing the breakfast when we pass by. For every single day, the same amount of energy which makes us feel home

Staff greeted us nicely and explained the room cleaning schedule (once every 3 day is must and optional (eco cleaning) for other days. You can get all amenity from the front desk including pajamas

I hope management who see this comment can please help to tell the staffs that they did a good job. I stayed at many japan hotel and the level of welcoming here is really above the average hotels

Hotel was standard chain hotel with normal size Japanese Room fit enough with 2 people with limited space for luggage repack. Luggage can be stored under bed so no worries about luggage space

They served simple yet good food and we really enjoy it. Every night, when we come back after a long, cold day of trip outside, the staff served hot soup which is suitable

Free breakfast provided everyday during the stay on lobby from 0630 to 0930. Menu slightly change daily but consistently with rice, bread, yogurt and tea rice

This hotel is near to the tram station and walking distance to the train and bus station, but honestly we usually just walk since its a walking distance to the center

Delicious pastries and juice for breakfast. If they added cheese, ham, or eggs, breakfast would be more substantial, but for the price, it's perfectly fine as is. We forgot our watch, and they returned it to us
