Where to stay in Kobe

There were two people at the front desk, and they were very helpful. It was a smoking room, but I was surprised that there was no odor when I entered. While it wasn't a problem for me, the bathtub seemed small for men, and there was only one elevator, so I had to wait a bit.

Friendly staff , clean hotel and easy to find

This is THE noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at. It faces a busy road and you can hear every car and motorcycle that goes by, and every pedestrian that talks on the street below you, however late at night. The windows are only one pane thick, so they're neither soundproof, nor thermally protective. It's a pity because the staff are very friendly.

The unit was a little small, but the room was clean and comfortable.

Kobe, hot springs ♨️ are great, and the breakfast is substantial. The rooms are quiet and you can get a good night's sleep. I'll definitely come back.

The staff at the counter speak fluent English and are very friendly, and are very willing to help tourists solve problems.

Arima-cho is a very small village, mainly known for its various hot springs. This hotel offers both public and private hot springs. You can just go to the public hot spring directly, while you need to make a reservation for the private hot spring.

The room was generally clean. It was a shame that there were burn marks on the tatami mats, even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room (probably the fault of the smokers), but there was no smell, so it was fine. I wanted to sleep well, but the window only had a shoji screen, so it was too bright and I had to wake up. Also, I could hear quite a bit of noise from the next room, which was bothersome

A traditional Japanese-style hotel, conveniently located on a tourist street in Arima. Unfortunately, the onsen is unsightly, with mold everywhere. There's no shower in the room.

Just a two-minute walk from the Shinchi station exit, turning right. Super convenient! There's a supermarket diagonally across the street, which is cheaper than convenience stores for groceries. It's also easy to get to Sannomiya and Meriken Park from here.

The hygiene was generally poor; the toilet's bidet function was broken and unusable; and the slippers were torn and couldn't be worn.

Great place and experience if you wanna try a ryokan. Eating kaiseki and sleeping on a futon. Also it was pretty big room with a nice view loggia. For the onsens, I did like the left opened one of a gin water. Although they are switched for male and female thrice a day. It is not necessary to leave it during the day, but if you want to have a stroll, there is Rokko mountain near around.

Unusually for a hotel, there were no tea leaves and we were told to buy tea from a vending machine. On the plus side, since we were only staying overnight, there was a microwave which was a relief. The room was well cleaned, but the bottom of the bathroom curtain was stained with black mold and was disgusting. There was a crack at the bottom of the sink area and it had been sealed with duct tape.

This js my second stay in Lifemax KobeSannomiya. This has been a very pleasant stay. Even though the location of the building js slightly far from the center, it provides a very good place of transition for you to change to the shinkansen in ShinKobe. I will still opt for here if I have another chance.

Location a bit far from Sannomiya station, it's on a uphill so quite hectic for travelers with large luggage. But there's a Matsuya and a few conbini around, and it's near to Ijinkan, so good overall.

We had a wonderful stay here. The Osen, facilities , services were good however the room setup lighting would need some upgrade for better ambience & mood on such a nice setting & locations as it does not have cove effect, dimming or warm light.

A very nice hotel, located on a hill, with a wonderful view from our second-floor room. The room itself was spacious and very clean.
