Kobe, 6-1 Nakamachi Minatojima Chuou-ku (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Breakfast ends too early. The room is a bit old.
The rooms are spacious; overall, we had a pleasant stay.
For the price this is fantastic, it's clean and tidy and well located near the portliner monorail from Kobe airport. It's on the older side which is why it's cheap but very well kept and great value
Good customer service and nice place.
The hotel is fine, it just feels old. It was built in the late 80s and from the look of my room it hasn't been refurbished since. Some of the patches on the wallpaper had patches of their own. It smelt old too. On the plus side, the room was spacious, perfectly comfortable, and dark and quiet when I wanted to sleep. Wifi was slow enough to be effectively useless.
The breakfast was excellent with a...
Felt like a luxury stay with a big room and an awesome view from the top floor, location convenient only if you wanna be close to the airport

Excellent hotel, all facilities are very well maintained. It has that classic old-money vibe, very high-class.
Both the service and facilities at this hotel are top-notch. The location is also excellent. Anyone who enjoys hot springs should definitely give it a try!
Absolutely amazing, especially for a family trip! This is definitely my kid's favorite hotel ever. The room was huge and incredibly clean. The service was impeccable, with attention to every detail – from helping with luggage the moment we arrived, it was full concierge service. The hot springs were also excellent. Highly recommend!
The hotel and rooms were exceptionally clean. The in-room amenities were complete and of high quality, and the hot springs were wonderfully relaxing with few people in the evenings. The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary beverages, and the Kaiseki dinner was superb! The hotel is located upstream in the town, perfect for a relaxing getaway. It's an easy walk in and out if you have normal mobility...
Very satisfied with the hotel service and all. I want to visit again.
Great hotel. Nice onsen facilities with a choice of rooftop location or ground floor nature garden location. The details that this hotel offers is exceptional compared to two other ones I have attended so far. The two stringed friddle with piano show at night was an extra bonus. Bottom line we love this hotel.

Excellent hotel! The entire property has a wonderful old-world charm. The large terrace offers a beautiful view, and they even provide essential oils for an aromatherapy diffuser, which was a lovely touch. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Kobe.
The check in process is slow, inefficient, and not customer friendly. They ask you on the very first day of your arrival about the exact time of your breakfast and room cleaning, which is unreasonable and not thoughtful. English speaking ability of the staff is also very poor.
I came here for Kobe Marathon 2025
This hotel near the finish point
Near anpanman museum
A big shopping mall nearby
Breakfast not that good
The hotel overall is good. Service amd facility are all good. Only one problem and I will never book this hotel again for this reason. The hotel only has room service for breakfast. And really don’t like it. When I used this hotel 3 years ago, they restaurant for breakfast is really wonderful. Unfortunately, now it is only open for lunch.
Nice location and the room is large. The staff is so friendly. If the hotel can provide buffet for breakfast it would be great
very kind, room condition is very good, good meal. the best hotel in Kobe!

Really good, big room and free lounge access for snacks and drinks
The location is good. But the room is not clear at all, I saw a pair of socks under the bed which is not mine, and so many dust.
The location is fantastic, just in front of motomachi station. The room is spacius and the bed is comfortable. They have smart tv which is good.
The experience staying at the kobe plaza hotel was amazing! The staffs were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was okay. Could use some improvements, but still nice. The 3rd floor lounge was so cozy and accessible. ☺️
Great location, lots of shops and restaurants. Very convenient.
Hotel was very clean, providing free coffee, fruit juice and ice lolly in the lobby.
Few mins from Motomachi Station, and also 10 mins walks from Sannomiya Station.
Nothing for negative reviews. But just only breakfast room. There is only one elevator to get through.
The Superior Double Room’s room size is not tiny. I really appreciate it.

Kobe, 1904 Arima-cho Kita-ku (13 km from centre) 🧭 Map
I travel to the city by international flight connecting buses, when I arrive I expected taxi to help me to move my luggage to hotel. Or I would find shuttle buses but there was none. I then I finally move everything upward to the hotel lobby then was told: I COULD CALL HOTEL TO SEND FREE SHUTTLE BUS TO SEND US UP TO THE HOTEL For free!!!
I emailed hotel in advance to my departure but was not advised...
Did not stay but used Onsen + lunch package. Onsen was one of the best in my life in Japan. I could use 1の湯 and 3の湯 all alone. Could not believe I was the only person using this onsen at that time. My body and mind both could be relaxed and refreshed. Food was also very nice. Next time I would love to stay a night.
The spot was super central. The staff were really nice. The hotel has this old-school charm, even if it's a bit dated, but they keep it up well. I loved their onsens, both inside and out. They even switch them daily so you get different views. Plus, you can get a private onsen for a bit extra.
We stayed at the west block which offers a nice view of the town. The public onsen are the big highlights together with the kaiseki dinner and buffet breakfast. The hotel has a long history so the building does have a slightly dated feeling to it and it's a huge hotel (with multiple blocks and floors) so might not offer a cozy feeling.
Wow. Wow. Wow! This was the most magical experience of our entire Japan trip. We did the Kobe dinner in our room and had access to both the public onsen and booked a private one.
I have celiac and they made sure to prepare the dinner so I could still experience all the amazing food. Make sure to let them know any dietary restrictions or allergies ahead of time! It is very limited on English speaking...

I have a lot of trust in Toyoko. The room layout is reasonable and the hotels are widely distributed. This one is basically opposite Hanshin Station, which is convenient for getting around. The only drawback is that my room is close to the elevator, which makes it noisy. Also, the elevator was broken that day, so I had to walk up to the 12th floor.
It was comfortable and we enjoyed free breakfast.
It was close to the station, the room was easy to use, the breakfast was good, and it was more than the price.
This was my first time using your service, but I will be using it again.

Nice onsen ryokan with recently refurbished facilities
Staff are polite
The onsen is a bit smal
Extremely Perfect and Excellent. Location, hygienes, room, private onsen, public onsen, dinner, breakfast, and the staff, everything was in place perfectly. Deserve to get 5 stars rating resort.
Food quality and choices are fantastic. Staff service is very good and can communicate well in English. One minor drawback is that the spa pool is too small for too many hotel guests. I am disappointed that there is no spa pool outdoor.
Room is very spacious and clean. Good service!
Room clean and everything is good
The room was pretty good, quite spacious. The hot spring, however, only had one pool, but the experience was still decent! It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the hotel from the cable car station, and also about a 10-minute walk to the town.

Not bad. It's close to Sannomiya and Kitano Ijinkan. The milk-stewed chicken for breakfast was really good.
a little further from the busy sannomiya station area. room is big and comfortable.
The location is around 10 mins to the city center and 15 mins to train station. There's a Lawson convenience store right beside the hotel.
Hotel is good in terms of breakfast, though I can see quality is not as good as before especially in terms of variety.
We had a room with two beds, quite large, the room had everything. The hotel is not new. It is noticeable. The mattress was uncomfortable for me. The location is quite convenient, 15 minutes from the station.
Easy check in and good location close to town center and restaurants. Staff was exceptionally friendly and does speak English.

The room is small but fine for solo traveler.
However, the bathroom is too small for an adult. The bathroom door was barely closed when I was on the toilet bowl. The bathtub & shower space is also very cramped for an adult.
The hotel was excellent, comfortable, and reasonably priced – a great value for money. It's one of the few hotels I could find during this time of year, and I hope to find another one with such high value next time.
The location is ideal, within a 10-minute walk down a slope from Sannomiya Station. It's worth the price of a three-star hotel in a second-tier city. However, the service attitude of one male staff member at the reception desk could be improved, while the rest of the staff were very polite and friendly.
Since it's in Sannomiya, I was able to get there without getting lost. I was able to make a reservation the day before, and a room without meals was sufficient.
There were no particular issues.
The only thing that bothered me was that there was some moldy staining on the back of the edge of the sink and on the top and bottom of the bathroom door.
The texture and scent of the towels were not very good.
It was raining so the umbrella rental service was good.
After checking out, we were able to make plans while enjoying the free drinks in the free space.
I was glad that it was a little cheaper than the surrounding area.
The facilities and services were
minimal for business trips, but fine.
It is located between Shin-Kobe and Sannomiya stations, so it is not exactly close to the station, but it is within the acceptable range.

It was a little dimly lit, which was a minor concern, but it was very clean and that was great!
The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate. More importantly, it was immaculately clean, and the service was excellent and very attentive. The staff at this Italian hotel spoke good English, which was a huge plus. Overall, I was very satisfied. Also, its location in a bustling area made getting around incredibly convenient.
Overall, it was a decent stay, likely an established hotel. The air conditioning unit was quite loud; we had to turn it off to get some quiet. Otherwise, the surroundings were relatively peaceful, and the area was good for exploring. A major inconvenience was that the hotel is located on the second floor. Checking in required us to carry our luggage up numerous steps, which definitely needs improving...
The hotel is located in the CBD, very strategic location to access to everywhere. 5mins walk to the Chinatown, 10mins walk to train station, 15mins walk to Meriken park. The hotel seems a bit old but very well maintained, clean and comfortable. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. We love the stay very much and super valuable for its price!
The hotel is OK and is close to Guoren Street. It is good to shop around. There are good stores.
It's close to Sannomiya Station and the front desk is open 24 hours, so it was okay to come back after walking around late at night~! However, I had to go up the stairs to the front desk, so it was a bit difficult to carry my suitcase up there. Other than that, it was nice and the cleaning was very clean👍

It was so good! I'll definitely be coming here every winter.
The exterior is castle-style, while the interior is more traditional Japanese style. The plaza lighting is beautiful, but hotel guests don't get any discounts! The hot spring bath is unique, but it's a bit rushed by 11 pm!
The hotel has a considerable history. Situated high in the mountains, the air is pleasant. The Japanese-style rooms are excellent, and the balconies are nice. It has all the necessary amenities for a holiday. The onsen is really good, with many indoor and outdoor baths. Because it's an old and large hotel, there are certainly some areas that could be improved. But overall, it's still acceptable considering...
Very friendly for children. However, The place is often fully booked.
This hotel is recommended for family trips.
While the entire building exudes a sense of history, both the exterior and interior are extremely luxurious, and the grounds are used lavishly. The hotel's abundant use of natural stone, particularly within the building, and its on-site wedding venue, highlight its former luxury status. While the hotel shows signs of age, it is well-maintained and clean....
This is a family-friendly facility with a spa with hot springs of the same quality as Arima Onsen. However, the hot springs are only in the open-air baths, and the other baths are not hot springs. Its a nice hotel with two different style of hotsprings. I like the outdoor hotspring the best.
:) Thankful for the hotel shuttle service as the hotel is located after a really steep slope. Both onsen in hotel and the next building are good and clean.

This is the first time visited Arima Osen. The experience was great. The location of this hotel is ok. If you go to the Main Street from hotel it takes around 5mins. But the pathway is a bit beveled. Other than that, the onsen in hotel were really good. You can try different kinds of onsen. I enjoyed the public bath! The staff were nice too.
This stay was in a Japanese-style room. The layout was conventional, not very spacious, and a bit dated, but the cleanliness was good. The hotel's two elevators are quite small, leading to long waits during peak hours, which is inefficient. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and noteworthy.

The hotel has an overall old and dated feel, and many of the facilities are showing signs of age. The bedding was clean, though we did notice one or two small bugs, possibly due to the hotel being close to the forest. The Yukata were also quite worn. Stayed here again. It's conveniently located and clean. However, the breakfast and dinner package isn't as elaborate as it used to be.
Great location, right on a shopping street. The dinner was especially good and very filling.
Nice Services. A staff can speak fluent Cantonese! Well done dinning for both breakfast and dinner served with Kobe beef!
Chinese-speaking staff at check-in and during meals were a definite plus. This hotel offers great value for money, with spacious榻榻米 rooms. The rooftop onsen, featuring both gold and silver baths, was a fantastic experience. The price included both breakfast and dinner, and the meals were very traditional Japanese; some dishes were delicious, while others weren't quite to my taste.

I always stay here when I'm in Kobe.
Perhaps it's because the facilities are new, but they're clean and I always enjoy my stay.
There's also a convenience store next door, so I don't think you'll have any inconveniences.
The room smelled nice when I entered, which I really liked. The room was on the west side, so the view was great.
The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was delicious and had a great view, but it was far from the station.
Also, there were tea bags for tea and black tea at the amenity selection area, and there was a kettle in the room, but no bottled water.
It was the first time I'd stayed in a hotel without water in the room.
Other than that, it was great.

Visited in winter, it was really good overall. The only drawback was that the tatami mat was quite cold when we first entered.

The hotel has very attentive and friendly staff. The onsen is very pleasant. The rooms are atmospheric. The hotel has all the necessary services. Next time I would like to spend more time at this hotel.
