The room was excellent. It's rare to find hotels with sofas in Japan, and the breakfast was superb. You can even choose your own breakfast time. It's only 230 meters to the station, and there's a shopping street right outside the door. Plus, it's a pleasant 20-minute walk to the beach in the evening.

The air conditioning in the corner room on the 9th floor had a strange, intermittent loud gurgling sound. However, I was so tired from sightseeing that I slept soundly, so it didn't really affect my sleep much. People who are light sleepers should be aware of this. Everything else was perfectly fine though!

I've stayed at Candeo Hotels several times across Japan before. Candeo Hotels always have excellent locations. The Candeo Kobe this time was also in a great spot, making it convenient to get anywhere in Kobe. What I love most about Candeo Hotels is that they all have rooftop onsens for bathing. Basically, you can do all your showering and bathing upstairs, so the bathroom in the room is largely unnecessary...

For a Japanese hotel, the room size was perfectly adequate. The surrounding area is also great for independent travelers. All in all, I was very satisfied.

Had a nice time staying for a week at this hotel. It is close to Sannomiya station with lots of restaurants nearby. It is also within walking distance to key areas such as Chinatown, Kitano etc. The room is cleaned with relatively good breakfast choices. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a hotel close to the station.

The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from Kobe Station, and also close to the shopping street. I specifically came to check it out because Marilyn Monroe is said to have stayed here. Although the hotel is old, it's very well-maintained, which I really liked.

The “sea view” was very disappointing and honestly not what I expected at all when booking this room. What made the experience worse was the pricing issue. After my booking became non-refundable, the hotel price dropped by around 30%, which was shocking. I’ve never had this happen before. The explanation that the lower price was a different non-refundable rate doesn’t fully justify such a big drop...

Location was ok, it was a bit further walk from the station, near a shrine and if you walk 8-10 mins there’s lots of shops. The hotel had this modern wooden cottage theme, it was clean and the room was decent size for Japan.

The location is super convenient – it's about a 5-minute walk to Sannomiya, 1 minute to Ikuta Shrine, and 10 minutes to Kitano. We were able to store our luggage both before check-in and after check-out, and they even lent us a power adapter.

Located right near the shrine, and about a 10-minute walk from the subway station. There are plenty of places to eat nearby too! The room was quite small but reasonably clean. The front desk service was pretty good, and they could communicate in English.

I recommend it. It was Ebisu Day, so I couldn't get a taxi, but they called one for me. They have separate smoking and non-smoking rooms, and I asked for a smoking room close to the elevator, and they obliged.

The room was clean and the bed was a semi-double single room, making it a perfect family trip without any worries. Thank you very much. I would like to stay with you again when I travel.

Clean and modern hotel, quite small considering it’s not in the most central area of Kobe. I imagine not super convenient for transport but I am fine since I am driving. Just for sleep over.

Hotel appears relatively new and the room (twin) was small but very clean. Only the complaint is that they charged an adult breakfast rate (not child rate) for my 6 year old child, which I never experienced in Japan.

I stayed here to see the first sunrise of the year from Meriken Park! It's about a 5-minute walk north from Kobe Station, and there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, so I had no trouble finding something to eat!

The hotel is within walking distance of JR Kobe Station and has excellent access. It's also convenient that there's a convenience store nearby. It was also nice that they included free breakfast. The switch between the faucet and shower was broken, so the shower wasn't usable.

I always use Toyoko Inn. Breakfast is free and the room condition is good. However, the soundproofing is poor, so it is a little noisy at night.

Poor parking experience. Basement parking has no instruction to reach hotel reception. The free parking arrangement is not friendly. The facilities are old fashioned, and renovation is needed. English speaking visitors may find difficulties in communicating with the front desk staff.

The whole place needs a serious upgrade. Everything is old and tired. The location is good, the place is clean and the staff were polite but it felt like stepping back in time and not in a good way. They use old keys and only one key per room, carpet is tired, the toilet was slow to flush, beds were hard and the furniture needs replacing.

The room we booked wasn’t as shown in the pictures, we booked after checking the prices and pictures. But after talking to the staff, they moved us to the room that was in the pictures. The breakfast was excellent! And the views and location are great. Just be careful when checking the pictures the rooms might be different with what you choose.

It was a bit difficult to get to the hotel because Sannomiya Station was undergoing renovation. The soundproofing wasn't great. Also, there was no light in the center of the room, making the whole space quite dim.

The perfect choice for a layover in Kobe. It's super close to the subway exit, just a 2-minute walk. The front desk offers self-service toiletries which is a nice touch! Getting to the airport takes about 30 minutes, very convenient. I'd definitely choose this place again.

The facilities are a bit dated. It's a bit of a walk from Sannomiya Station in Kobe, taking about 9-10 minutes, and even with a map, it can be quite tricky to locate. However, it offers good value for money, costing around 320 per person for two nights. The front desk staff were also very friendly. If you're on a tight budget, Kokk Hotel Kobe is still a decent choice.

My non smoking room was actually a former smoking room. Be aware this is an older hotel and you might end up in a stinky room.

The hotel is in a great location, just across the street from Daimaru Department Store, and surrounded by commercial streets. Nankinmachi is also next door. Luggage can be stored for free in front and back. The downside is that the room is really small.

I like the location very much. It is located at the exit of the Kaigantsu subway. When you come out, you will see the Motomachi business district, the old settlement, and Nanjing Street. There are many delicious restaurants nearby, and you can walk to the Kobe Lighthouse and JR Station.

There was no choice for non smoking people. I have never been staying in like this smoking room. I was supposed to be happy with APA hotel. It’s my first time in staying this hotel but very disappointed. But I really appreciate the support from staff who helped me!

The room was spotless. Japanese hotels are usually compact, but they always have everything you need. Plus, there's a free water bar at the hotel, which is great for grabbing a drink after a long day out.

I would like to compliment staff 家野 of hotel wing international kobe which i stayed on 8-10oct 2025. i have lost my necklace into the sink. she have helpfully helped to remove the pipe and tried her best to have to flush the sink to find it. although unfortunately we are not able to find it, i would like to appreciate her efforts.

Loved the great array of drinks available. Perfect for the weary traveler. Having a cup of hot coco set me up for the night. Loved the pajamas. The bed was the softest bed out of all the hotels I have been in Japan. Slept well as a result.

5 stars location, 5star people service and a space at the lobby where you can sit and work. 4 stars for the room, I love their room is spacious, but the bed is firm but sinks, it’s like a v shape when I sleep which cause sore back every morning, also their pillows are too high. Otherwise I like their spacious room and small but ok for typical Japanese size bathroom.

Rooms are comfortable, however the room reeks of cigarette and cigar smoke. The smell so strong that my nose never adjusted to the smell. I ordered non smoking room. They said it was non smoking. It's about a 10-minute walk from Hanshin Amagasaki Station. It's close to Umeda, and you can go to Namba without changing trains, so it's convenient. The staff were nice and gave us detailed explanations, such as touching the card when entering the elevator and where the amenities are. The hot spring is really big, and you can enjoy both the upstairs and downstairs pools for free. There's a shuttle bus to Sannomiya Station. The room views are absolutely stunning, perfect for couples. Breakfast was just okay, but overall, it's a great stay.
