The hotel's location is a bit awkward; it's about 1.5km from Kyoto Station and a 600-meter walk to Gojo subway station. However, being in a residential area does offer a unique local charm. What was really hard to accept was that the futon mattress in the Japanese-style room was made of combined sections, making it incredibly uncomfortable to sleep on.

We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The rooms were larger than the usual mid range hotels in . They were clean and the usual amenities were provided. Another plus was the provision of complimentary beverages, biscuits and dashi in the afternoon until 1100pm.

The hotel was rather far from Kyoto station - it was a 20 minute walk though there are a couple of smaller stations nearby. If you are up to walking a bit of a distance then this would be a good hotel choice Kyoto. We were very happy with this hotel and would consider coming back again.

This is currently my favorite hotel in Kyoto. The front desk offers fresh fish soup and complimentary sweets, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The room was clean and tidy. I stayed there for two nights, and from now on, this will be the only place I'll stay when I visit Kyoto.

A quiet escape amidst the hustle and bustle. The room decor was warm and elegant, with attention to detail evident throughout. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep. The service was gentle and professional, and the location made getting around both convenient and pleasant. It was a truly delightful stay and definitely worth revisiting.

The hotel is located in a very convenient area, making it easy to get around and explore the surroundings. There are many shops, restaurants, cafés, and convenience stores within walking distance, which was extremely helpful during the stay. Public transportation is also easily accessible, saving time when travelling to different attractions.

The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the room provided enough space to relax after a long day. Housekeeping did a good job of keeping everything tidy. Basic amenities were provided, and everything worked well throughout the stay.

Overall, the combination of a great location and a comfortable room made this hotel a good choice. It is suitable for both short and long stays, especially for travellers who value convenience and accessibility. I would consider staying here again and would recommend it to others looking for a hotel in a good location with many nearby amenities.

Nice room, with a lot of amenities can be obtained. 10 minutes walk from nearest subway, but there are bicycles rentals.

The room was bigger than I imagined. There is an air purifier in the room. The breakfast was excellent especially the local Japanese food items. The hotel also provided the complimentary coffee, sake, juice,etc for the guest till 5pm.

It is a very clean and modern hotel but the bed is a mattress on the floor which is not the most comfortable. Very firm and not great if you are feeling sore after a long day of walking, exploring Kyoto and just want a good nap or rest. It is very quiet though in the room and Kyoto is a city worth exploring. Lots to see and do!
