it was already dark n drizzling when we check in, bcos we got lost in our direction. ..the Receptionst was friendly gave us the towel to dry ourselves.. nice hotel.

There is no sound proofing for the room. When other guests open and close the door the air wave hits your door like it’s being opened. Also can hear people in the aisle and upper floor walking, noisy in the early morning. There is only one washing machine for the entire hotel and some guests leave the finished laundry in the machine with password set for a whole day so no one else can access the machine. When being approached with this question the admin staff at the front desk only said nothing the hotel can do about that. The room is dark and the table is wobbly like it is going to collapse any time, when being told about that the admin staff once again said sorry but nothing was done about that. Overall the location is within a walkable distance from Kyoto station and that’s the only thing I appreciate about this place, other than that it is a disappointing experience with this stay and it’s below average standard of my hotel experience in Japan and Kyoto.

This hotel is really close to Kyoto Station, which makes getting around super convenient. Just a heads-up, there's another hotel with a similar name a bit further away, and I actually navigated to that one first when checking in. So definitely double-check the address! One night, I heard some strange noises in the hallway. I went down to the front desk, and the staff member came right up to the second floor with me to check it out. We couldn't pinpoint the source right away, but by the time I finished my shower, the noise was gone. The staff member was really responsible and helpful in resolving my concern.

The hotel room is actually bigger than I expected, and for the price, it’s pretty good. One thing to keep in mind though, early check-in isn’t available. From my experience, you can’t go into your room early, so if you’re planning to arrive early, drop your bags in your room and head out to explore, that’s not really an option. On the plus side, the amenities are great, they provide a lot, and you can take whatever you need. The staff are helpful, and the heater in the room works really well.

The hotel is about 600 meters from Kyoto Station, less than a ten-minute walk after exiting the station. Check-out is before 10 AM the next day, and you can self-store your luggage in the lobby to explore the area. Afterward, you can return to the hotel to pick up your bags before heading to other cities from Kyoto Station, which is very convenient. The room was very clean and had a desk. Self check-in and check-out were also very easy!

This was the best value-for-money hotel on my trip to Japan! It's about a ten-minute walk from the station. The environment is fantastic! It even has a separate bathtub, a smoking room, and an elevator! The soundproofing is also excellent!!!

Room size was very comfortable for 2 people. Location-wise it's perfect, near kyoto station and lots of izakayas nearby. However, room service only available once every four days and only one washing machine available for the entire hotel.

Average hotel. Newly renovated and staff are trying hard to be friendly. Bar shuts early and rooms are small. At least I saw a geisha on our floor. Can't be too bad we extended a day here. Location is it's greatest asset and say hi to Mr. Yama at the Lawson's near by.

A great hotel! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to various sight seeing spots and are more than happy to assist with directions on how get to them.

The hotel is also conveniently located within walking distance of the train and bus station; as well as opposite a local supermarket and down the road from a Lawson. The hotel also has a myriad of toiletries and items (combs, toothbrushes, razors, face masks, pillows etc.) for guests to use, which is a nice touch.

Unfortunately, the internet left one a little wanting with download speeds sitting at frustrating levels. Thankfully, upload speeds were fairly good so photo backups were quick. (The internet speed did recover somewhat in the mornings)

Overall, a great hotel which I would gladly stay at again.

Upon checking in you get to select from more than a dozen toiletries. Then room is nice with deep soaking tub. Staff is helpful and very courteous. Breakfast buffet with fresh juice and food selection from many countries - all delicious. All this within 2 blocks of Kyoto station.

Convenient, got a cheap last minute deal. Very clean. You pick up amenities including tea and coffee from the reception at your leisure - but they also have face masks, cleansers, toners etc to pick as well. They also have a pillow selection! Close to Kyoto station and the staff were very lovely. Quick check in and out.
