Love the pillow choices, toothbrush choices. Only the toilet before checked in was just one unit and had to wait to freshen up!

The hotel's best asset is its location, right across from Kyoto Station, making travel incredibly convenient. It's also only about 100 meters from the Kansai Airport Limousine Bus stop. Plus, there's a popular restaurant nearby that's open until 11 PM.

Free coffee service from 3 PM to 10 PM, and 6 AM to 12 noon (machine also provides match latte, cappuccino, espresso, strong coffee, mild coffee). Also, free ice pops in 4 flavors. Check in and check out can be fully automated, but there are also receptionist in the lobby. Has public bath on the first floor with Mikimoto based body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Just a few steps from the pedestrian lane crossing the street on the Hachijodori side of the Kyoto station, and one block away from the bus stop to the Itami and Kansai Airport Limousine Bus. Room size is fairly typical of the room sizes in the area. Offers breakfast for Yen 1,980.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, just south of Kyoto Station, a traffic light away. It features a public bath, which is perfect for unwinding after a long journey.

The facilities are comprehensive; there's complimentary matcha available on the first floor. The provided pajamas and sleep shorts are incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom's separate wet and dry areas are a great touch.

We stayed here for two nights and had a very comfortable experience. The hotel is very close to Kyoto Station, which made getting around Kyoto extremely easy. The onsen was a great bonus and perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The area is also surrounded by shopping malls, restaurants, and the train station, making it very convenient for both dining and travel. Overall, a very nice and comfy stay—highly recommended.

Right above JR Kyoto with access to local and intercity trains. Clean, courteous staff and spacious rooms. I can see the JR train station from my window, but the room is exceptionally queit.

I use it often when I'm on a business trip to Kyoto. I like this restaurant because it has a high ceiling, it is spacious and very luxurious. It was very nice to see young families with small children, it was a nice hotel and the food was delicious. Tokizoya's Hokkaido foodies were served hot and delicious food. First of all, you can see that the hall staff has a very good behavior, attention and service spirit. After all, the access is too good (^^)

Nice hotel situated right in the train station. Very good place to see the city or go on daytrips to other cities. Room was quite large by Japanese standards and breakfast was lovely (Western & Japanese food). Service was great and very polite.

The room is very spacious for 4 people. Although there is no breakfast , the location is very close to 7 eleven and the staff are very friendly.

Relaxing place to stay when you go to Kyoto
Near to Kyoto Station, bus stops, and subway station.
Also near laundromat, convenience store, and food stall.

We had a good stay in Ebisu Ryokan! The room is simple rather old but has everything you need, fridge , table, hairdyer, shampoo, even tea pots and cups. The lovely gentleman who works there took time to explain the rules in english and made us feel welcome even in a busto day. He even took time to walk us the nearest bike rental which we appreciated. The value was good for kyoto.

The rooms are kind of medium, kinda small and you have to be real quiet so other people can't hear you. The rooms include a safe, a TV, a fridge, an air purifier, an A/C unit, a shower and a smart toilet. Basically an average hotel including the fact that it's traditionally made. Overall, I would give "rooms" a solid 3.0.

The service on this place is good. The owner is a foreigner, probably German. He speaks English well and is friendly too. Overall, I would give "service" a 4.6.

The location of this place is kind of good, it's just 500 metres away from the train station. It's also near a big. beautiful garden. Overall, I would give "location" a 5.0.

Alright, we have gone through all the things now. Do I recommend this place? Yes, if you wish to sleep in a traditional ryokan but you also want to explore Kyoto. Overall, I would give this place a 4.1.

Well it seems very different experience among guests of this place.
We luckily had a pleasant stay last week, just 1 night in our 10 nights in Japan. Our room is on 2nd floor.
Got a deal of 25% price lower than the APA nearby so we set our expectations at the beginning to experience a Ryokan in Kyoto.
The room we had was fine, toilet is bigger than some other hotel. The Aircon in our room works just fine.
The host can speak English, Jacob was also very helpful with information he shared on our travel itineraries.
Self checkout makes it easy for you to leave the guesthouse anytime just like most of Japanese hotel.

It could be much cleaner indeed, but it's very difficult to get a decent hotel at our budget so we are fine with this place.
Maybe because we spent the whole day walking Kyoto and only get back to sleep.
