Super Hotel Namba Nipponbashi in Osaka

Our first night in Osaka, we arrived past 1 AM. The staff spoke English and there was someone at the front desk, which was great. Breakfast was plentiful.

Convenient location - I enjoyed one night of comfortable stay here after my San'in area trip, before I fly back to my hometown via KIX. You can virtually find everything you need in the nearby region.

This hotel's breakfast was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The location is great too, right across from Kuromon Market. It's super convenient, just a five-minute walk to Dotonbori. The SUGO Pharmacy at the Dotonbori intersection is open 24/7, which I really appreciate about staying here. Walking the other way, it's also very close to Takashimaya, not to mention the subway stations. The room was very clean, and it even had a fridge. The Lawson convenience store downstairs is handy for snacks and drinks, and there's a whole street of restaurants nearby. It's a hotel with excellent value for money, and I've already recommended it to several friends.

Whenever I visit Osaka, I usually stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient; you can take the airport line directly to Namba and then it's about a 10-minute walk. There's also the Nihonbashi subway station right outside, and Shinsaibashi is only about a 20-minute walk away. Plus, they offer breakfast in the morning, which is perfect for fueling up before heading out for shopping and sightseeing.

Having stayed in Super Hotels in other parts of Japan before, this is a smaller branch in Namba Osaka. I was given a low floor back room that faced the wall of the opposite building in the inner lanes of Namba, with only one window. (Ask for 5F and above if you want a brighter room with a view.) Some permanent glue marks or stains on table top, room lighting is a little dim with the window blinds always down but otherwise clean and relatively large econ dbl room for female solo travellers like me and couples, with enough floor space for opening 2 luggages (maybe not the case for triple bunk bed rooms). Liked the electronic password lock for rooms, no key return checkout, free pillow menus, health ION water, free breakfast, affordable laundry facilities and its location: 10 min walk to Namba Nankai Station for airport commute, Namba shops and Midosuji Red subway line, Dotonbori canal, Shinsaibashi shops and Kuromon Market just opposite the street. However, docked 3 stars for service because hotel reception did not take care to return my passport to me after the initial quick check-in to drop off luggage, or call me to alert me about it after I walked off for lunch and shopping. This caused me to panic, thinking that I have lost it. I had to call the hotel myself to check if they happened to have it, and it seemed that they were aware that they still have it but did not sound apologetic. Staff may be friendly but this was unprofessional behaviour. They need better training to handle guests' valuables and manage mistakes like this, so as not to create unpleasant moments for guests.

The location is really convenient; the subway station is just a 5-minute walk away. The room was quiet, with no noise whatsoever. Directly opposite the hotel is Kuromon Market, which makes shopping super easy. Plus, the hotel offers breakfast, and free drinks in the afternoon!

The hotel si very well situated, in a very lively area and close to all shops and restaurants in Namba. Metro stations are very close by (one is just 1 minutes away!).
The hotel is very simple but overall ok. The staff is very kind both at the reception as well as the cleaning staff and in the kitchen. It is overall clean but corridors smell a bit (consider opening the windows during the day when cleaning ladies are there) and some nice renovation would make the hotel nicer. The breakfast is ok but maybe more quality choices could be provided (example add cereals for those choosing the yogurt). One thing really to change is the dispenser of drinks: they are of a poor quality, full of sugar, not tasty and full of colour additives (consider some more fresh drinks, maybe).

Location: Excellent, within walking distance to many popular attractions, and public transport is easily accessible.
Room: Perfectly sized with enough space to fully open a suitcase. It was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and even included a bathtub.
Amenities: The second-floor lobby has a self-service beverage bar, and guests can freely choose toiletries, yukata robes, and various pillows – a truly thoughtful and guest-friendly touch. There's also a dedicated smoking room on the second floor for convenience.
Breakfast: The breakfast was absolutely delicious, offering a rich variety of options with exceptional taste.
Service: The service was impeccable, leaving me highly satisfied. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Osaka.

Room size is expected in Japan but it has everything you need. Location is great, near doutonburi and Namba. Nearest train station is Nipponbashi and 10mins walk to Namba, which has a rapid train to Kansai Airport. Do note if you require room service, have to put the sign before 9am. Check out is 10am and if you need any additional items, can get from L2 front desk.
