We stayed here in May 2025. IT is an old hotel but has it charm. The room is comfortable and clean. The Onsen part is ok. it is full of old Japanese people. For some might not like this but I have no problem with it. My point is this an old hotel and everything about it kind of charming for me.
Breakfast is decent, there were both western and Japanese food. It is not far from the park that also has foot bath. From then, you can walked to the center of the city.
I would go back to stay at this place again as I mentioned it has a charm. I would not recommended this hotel, if you are looking for modern stuff.

Location was great stone throw to the skifield. I looked out directly to the ski slopes, absolutely stunning. The complimentary breakfast used a ticketing system, that you have to get the ticket in the evening each day. Being able to experience local breakfast in a buffet style was excellent. Some people may have certain dietary requirements, so this style was great. Selection was marvelous.

The room was a little old but very comfy. The bathroom however may need some improvement. I have not told the management but the shower head water sprayed everywhere but in a straight line, but this may be down to luck. And I am sure they will do something if mentioned. Also yukata and haori? were provided, but I'm not familiar with it. Onsite onsen, didnt' have chance to check it out.

I didn't expect great service from the hotel. It's really old. The cleaning in the room is bad, there was hair from the previous tenant on the wall and sink in the bathroom, and the food area is also dirty in places. I hope at least the bed linen was changed. However, the room is big. The breakfast is Japanese (so I can't rate it properly). The same employee cleans the room and takes the pass to the food area. The source on the first floor is separate. It's obvious that they don't earn much. Oyu

I had to leave this hotel immediately after checking in due to the shocking level of filth.

The hallway floors were sticky and dirty, but what I found inside the room was even worse. The bathroom was so grimy that I could literally scrape off layers of dirt with my fingernails to reveal the surface underneath. This wasn’t a one-time oversight — it was clear that proper cleaning had never been done.

I was fully aware that the hotel was going to be old and dated, and I was perfectly fine with that. But being old is no excuse for being dirty. Cleanliness is a basic requirement, and this place failed miserably.

I have taken photos and will attach them to this review. Honestly, a place like this shouldn’t be allowed to operate — I believe their license should be reviewed or revoked.

I booked this place through Agoda, and I sincerely hope to get my money back. I also hope that Agoda will take responsibility and remove this property from their listings to prevent others from going through the same experience.

Frankly, the place shouldn’t be called “New Koyo.” A more fitting name would be “North Korea.”

The room facilities are old and simple, there is no hand soap, no shower shampoo, the bathtub is useless, there is only a very small piece of soap. The outdoor hot spring feels that it is not cleaned every day, there is a lot of floating moss. The only advantage is that there is a balcony, you can see the ski resort in the distance, the price is not expensive, including breakfast and dinner are buffet, there are many varieties.

Nice view. Very clean room. You will heard the broadcast at 09:15 that reminds you the check out time is 09:30. Although the location is far away from the central location, it’s good value for money.

Regarding the location of the hotel, there was a car shuttle from the Yubatake to the hotel, but this information was not received at the time of booking, and we walked there, which was a bit disappointing. The hotel's open-air bath was very good, and they also provided a car shuttle to the Yubatake and ski resort. Ski equipment can also be rented from the hotel, which is cheap and convenient. There is only one flight from the ski resort to the hotel in the afternoon, so it is convenient to have one every hour.

I read reviews before staying and was a bit worried. However I found them to be unfounded for our experience. The cell reception was crystal clear. The food was very very good. The price for the room included dinner and breakfast. This is a budget stay for the area. The rooms are larger. The the beds are a bit hard and the pillows lack luster but the comforter was cozy. The views are stunning and the onsen was fully stocked and refreshing both indoors and out. The staff did not speak well English but with translators no problem and many guests we met spoke English.

Very nice place with the bathhouse operating all night. There are shuttle bus services to Yubatake and to the Bus Terminal when checking out. Just that they speak almost no English at all, so do consider that.
